Chapter 950 - Chapter 900: The Duel King's Wrath

Atomic Breath!

The scorching hot, powerful impact caught the Thunder King, the Lightningstrike Kaiju off guard. The Dragon King's three heads simultaneously let out a roar between a demonstration and a wail, as its massive body, weighing unknown tons, smashed onto the more than two-thousand-meter-thick ice layer, sending ice shards flying everywhere.

The air twisted with high temperature, as a towering figure seemed to stride forward through a faint, misty veil.

Its body was like a dark mountain, but its hardened skin was covered in fissures, etched with lines resembling volcanic lava, with flowing molten rock in every crevice.

It resembled a gigantic walking dinosaur, with reactor furnace-like burning red fins extending along its spine to its head.

It had a thick, powerful tail, fiery red wings, and its body resembled a kettle on the verge of eruption, constantly spewing white steam.

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju!

Or you could call it by the better-known name in the parallel universe—

——Burning Godzilla!

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju, was designed based on Burning Godzilla from the "Godzilla VS" series, showcasing Godzilla's extraordinary form under runaway core temperature and energy.

...Though that's what the design says, in truth, Dogoran shares slightly less resemblance to Godzilla compared to other Kaijus, especially since it even has a pair of wings.

In Monster Universe settings, Godzilla and Ghidorah have always been ancient foes, which seems applicable here too.

As the saying goes, enemies meet with eyes red with rage. The Thunder King, having just been struck hard, was enraged, regrouping with fierce determination, and prepared to charge counteroffensively towards Dogoran.

...only to be slammed back to the ground by a more powerful, stronger golden cannon blast.

Superconductive Wave - Thunder Cannon!!!

Osiris showed no mercy, bombarding the three-headed fool with a relentless "verbal barrage."

——My oh my, daring to glance at others while having a bout with me?

Don't you know the word for death?

The Kaiju, dubbed the Thunder King, appeared feeble and weak when facing the Superconductive Wave. The three-headed dragon was fiercely pressed against the ice surface, cracking the ice layers, sending splashes of water in all directions. The gigantic creature slid along the ice surface under the power of the Thunder Cannon, until it shattered a small iceberg.

Taking hits like these evidently left it severely wounded. The Kaiju's three heads drooped powerlessly; its body was covered with wounds, and the sturdy silver scales cracked, potentially even injuring internal organs.

Thunder King, the Lightningstrike Kaiju, can no longer rise.

Youyu landed as the ice beneath was already fracturing everywhere. He slowly pulled out a card.

It was a completely blank card, with no name, no artwork, and no effect description, merely a completely blank slate.

Of course, carrying this card wasn't for card printing convenience—Youyu admitted he didn't possess the Duel King's level of "designing full effects from a blank slate" like Atem, but he had already learned how to seal monster spirits.

Years ago, he did the same to the Three Phantasms.

Against those sinister spirits causing chaos through sheer strength, Youyu's standard solution now was to first deliver a beating, beat them until they called him "daddy" from the ground, then throw out a Master Ball... no wait, the template card prepared by Industrial Illusions Society, and seal the spirit.

When Youyu accepted a TV interview on behalf of the Duelist Alliance that Kaiba put together, he specifically mentioned this process.

He solemnly stated that taming evil spirits is very challenging and comes with great threat. But as the Duel King, he has an unshirkable responsibility; for the safety of citizens and the stable prosperity of human society, let all powerful evil monsters come at him, all evil will be borne by him!

Perhaps it would be better if it were an evil female spirit with curves... (crossed out)

Youyu smiled as he walked towards the fallen, weakened three-headed dragon.

For some reason, seeing this tiny human, clearly smaller than its toe, slowly approaching, the Thunder King was alarmed, instinctively guarding its body with its wings, desperately shrinking into the collapsing glacier ruins.

Much like a girl cornered against a wall, pitiful and helpless.

Don't come any closer, ahhh!!!

And Youyu, holding the sealing card, was like a doctor soothingly coaxing a child with a syringe, with a warm smile as if saying, "It'll be over quickly, it won't hurt at all, just one shot and done..."

But before he could act, golden light rippled on the Thunder King, its body abruptly became transparent, immaterial, vanishing into thin air.

Youyu froze on the spot.

Damn!

Where's my Ghidorah? Where's that big Ghidorah? Who stole it!?

He soon realized one thing—it was too late.

Unlike the Three Phantasms back then. The Three Phantasms causing trouble in the city were wild, had no master, so after getting a beating they were quickly sealed by them.

But this Thunder King seemed domesticated.

After awakening from the ice, someone had beaten Youyu to the punch, already becoming its master. By now, it should have returned to its master's Card Deck to hide.

No wonder finding such a massive being was so difficult post-zero awakening, with relevant departments unable to track its whereabouts for so long.

In such a vast Antarctica, finding a hidden Duelist is way tougher than finding a three-headed dragon as tall as a building...

Furthermore, matters here were far from over.

The Thunder King vanished, but now two divine beasts were still there.

Having lost their primary target, Osiris and Dogoran exchanged glances with intense eye-contact, neither retreating a step.

Not much needs to be said about Osiris, the majestic Egyptian God, a top-tier Duel Monster, could not be cowed by anyone.

Dogoran, being Yu-Gi-Oh World's Godzilla, seemingly inherited the trait of "wanting to fight anyone who looks big." Now, feeling that the Sky Dragon was quite large, it guessed that it might not win, hence the desire to size up.

However, after a moment of staring at each other, Dogoran snorted from its nostrils, steam sprayed from its body, then finally turned away and vanished.

It was as if acknowledging someone's command.

Osiris felt that it had won the morale battle, roared triumphantly, shook its tail, then disappeared back to the card on Youyu's Duel Disc.

Youyu exhaled a long breath.

He felt slightly sweaty, quite exhausted.

Summoning Egyptian God is not the same as taking out the Dark Magician Girl for a stroll, the burden on the Duelist cannot be compared.

Spotlights like swords pierced down from the sky, engine whirring sound came from the air. A massive, black, sci-fi style transport aircraft appeared above Youyu, it slowly descended, airflow scattering ice shards and debris on the ground.

Youyu raised an arm to shield himself, squinting to peer at the visitor.

He saw the white logo on the transport's cabin exterior, with the text below: Monarch.

Monarch.
