The storm of chaos rose from the ground, its powerful energy seemed to tear through the dimensions. The tall Hero was clad in armor of two colors, with black and white bodies revealed in the raging storm, and ribbons of two colors fluttered mid-air.

"Contrast Hero Chaos..."
Dr. Serizawa raised his head, watching the bi-colored storm howl through the streets, as the Masked Hero hovered like a deity, with brick fragments swirling around him.
"This is... the strongest Masked Hero." He murmured.
Serizawa was briefly mesmerized, only reacting when the chaos kick shattered his "Sabersaurus". The intense virtual impact brought him back to reality, causing him to stagger back several steps.

"Set three cards, end the turn." Youyu said.
"Facing the ultimate form of the rumored Masked Hero... My old friend seems quite excited as well." Serizawa chuckled, "Then my turn, draw!"
He pressed a button on the Duel Disc, activating the remaining set card directly.
"Magic Card - Monster Reborn! Revive the Monster in the graveyard! I'll revive the 'Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju' from the graveyard!"
The ground in the city began to shake again, and bricks uneasily jumped. The earth cracked, and fissures spread as if some giant creature was moving beneath the ground, ready to break free.
Youyu made a broad gesture: "Contrast Hero Chaos's effect! Once per turn, negate the effect of one card on the field! And this effect can be activated during the opponent's turn as well!"
He pointed straight to Serizawa's backfield.
"I'll negate the effect of the Magic Card 'Monster Reborn'!"
The Power of Chaos erupted underground, instantly binding the Trap Card in Dr. Serizawa's backfield. The ground's tremor stopped at once, and the vague silhouette of Dogoran that had just appeared faded away.
Dr. Serizawa gritted his teeth: "Then the effect of 'Kyoutou Waterfront' activates again! Once per turn, when there are three or more Kaiju Counters on Kyoutou, add a 'Kaiju' from the Card Deck to the hand.
Add 'Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju' to the hand!"
A new Kaiju joined his hand, which meant Serizawa had obtained a new means to clear the field. With a simple command, he could direct the Kaiju to devour Youyu's Contrast Hero on the field.
But Youyu also had a targeted strategy deployed.
"Flip Cover Card!" He made a grand gesture, "Continuous Trap... Mask of Restrict!"
Serizawa: "!"
Seeing the ugly, menacing mask with the large "restrict" written across its forehead appear on the field, Serizawa had to admit he was indeed stunned for a moment.
Because this thing was literally the nemesis of all Kaijus!
Kaijus can "use opponent's Monsters on the field as tributes for a special summon." This is their most powerful feature. It allows them to bypass almost any effect, any resistance, to simply and directly clear out nearly any big Monster in the current Yu-Gi-Oh system.
...Almost.
But this advantage, in a few situations, can also become a weakness.
Because Kaijus need to come into play, they must "use opponent's Monsters on the field as tributes" before they can proceed with further development and attacks.
And the effect of the Continuous Trap "Mask of Restrict" is very simple and direct—
—Both sides cannot use any form of cards as tributes.
Without a doubt, it's equivalent to breaking the spine of a Kaiju.
Understand that Kaijus have only two methods of entry—either devour the opponent's Monster and hop to the opponent's field or spring directly from the hand when the opponent has a Kaiju on the field.
With tribute form locked, the Kaiju system will completely stall.
"...Then the Magic Card 'Sacred Sword of Seven Stars'." Serizawa promptly shifted his strategy, "Banish a Level 7 Monster from hand or field from play, and draw two cards from the Card Deck.
I'll banish 'Kumongous, the Sticky String Kaiju' from play and draw two cards from the Card Deck!"
With two new cards in hand, he immediately drew another card along with a card already in hand: "Magic Card 'Trade-In', send the 'Super Anti-Kaiju War Machine Mecha-Dogoran' from hand to graveyard, draw two cards from Deck!
Then I summon 'Crawling Dragon', attack position!"

"Next, the Magic Card 'Spacetime Transcendence' is activated!" Serizawa revealed another card from hand, "Banish two or more Dinosaur-Type Monsters from your graveyard to activate.
Select and special summon Dinosaur-Type Monsters from hand or graveyard whose levels equal the banished Monsters!"
Youyu nodded knowingly: "Dinosaur-Type Monsters... I see, if the tribute form is sealed, then use this method to bring them back?"
"I will banish 'Sabersaurus', Level 4 Dinosaur-Type and 'Crawling Dragon', Level 4 Dinosaur-Type from graveyard!"
A card popped out from Dr. Serizawa's Graveyard zone, raised high above his head.
"Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju, revive!!!"
The card was slammed onto the Duel Disc, and the ground resounded with violent roars! The terrain cracked open, fiery dragons soared into the sky, with an iron-like shadow rising high, molten lava flowing through the gaps in its body.

"Roar!!!"
Dogoran snarled in rage, its roar accompanied by terrifying sound waves in the heat wave, shattering glass along its path into fragments, melting steel into liquid.
"The effect of 'Spacetime Transcendence' prevents the summoned Monster from attacking in the turn it's summoned." Youyu reminded.
"I know, but Dogoran doesn't need to attack either." Serizawa chuckled, "Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju's effect activates! Once per turn, remove three Kaiju Counters from the field to destroy all opponent's Monsters!!"
The Kaiju King bellowed deeply, its entire body operated like a red-hot nuclear reactor at full tilt!
The destructive power was comparable to the era's taboo card "Raigeki", capable of obliterating the opponent's entire lineup in a single strike.
And it's a once-per-turn Raigeki!
Truly the Kaiju King, its ability in later Yu-Gi-Oh environments might appear unimpressive, but in GX era with its searchable, easy summon, powerful and brute effects that could eat the opponent's big Monsters, it's already overpowered.
Dogoran's internal furnace exploded in upheaval, with a red-hot impact radiating outward like a hemispherical giant energy shield, melting and obliterating anything in its path!
"Flip Cover Card!" Youyu immediately flipped over a card from his backfield, "Trap Card 'Interdimensional Matter Transporter'! Banish one of your Monsters from play until the end of the turn!
Banish 'Contrast Hero Chaos' from play!"

The terrifying red lotus impact swept everything, but Chaos vanished at the critical moment into the dimension's other side, leaving Dogoran's domineering strike to boom into emptiness.
Although this left Youyu's field temporarily barren, Serizawa could not launch an attack. The Monster special summoned by "Spacetime Transcendence" itself had attack restrictions, and Dogoran could not attack in the turn it activated the effect to destroy the opponent's Monsters.
Thus even if Youyu's field was temporarily empty, Serizawa could not launch an attack.
But Serizawa clearly anticipated this point too: "Continuous Magic 'The Kaiju Files' activated! The Kaiju Files' effect!
Once per turn, destroy a 'Kaiju' Monster on the field, then special summon a 'Kaiju' from the Card Deck with a different original name than the destroyed Monster."
He pointed to the Kaiju King with attack restrictions on his field.
"I destroy 'Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju'!"
Dogoran groaned heavily, its red-hot body gradually melting, decomposing and disappearing in the scorching heat.
A new card from his Card Deck synchronized popped out.
"Super Anti-Kaiju War Machine Mecha-Dogoran—Summon!!!"
