"Slifer's attack! Superconductive Wave - Thunder Cannon!!!"
The mouth of the Egyptian God brewed up lightning like a cannon once more, ready to be unleashed at any moment!
Standing tall in the path of this brewing bombardment was Malicious Bane. This strongest Evil Hero withstood wave after wave of attacks, showing no sign of inferiority even against the might of a god.
This turn would be the time for the decisive battle!
Even with the amplification from Supreme King's Castle, Malicious Bane's attack limit is only 4800, this battle is enough to decide the final outcome.
Of course, that's assuming the battle goes smoothly.
"Traps are ineffective against gods," Ed said solemnly, "unless they don't target the gods and instead directly affect the player. For example..."
"Flip Cover Card!" Before he finished speaking, one of the remaining back rows of the Supreme King had already flipped, "Trap Card 'Dimension Wall'!"
Manjome x Ed: "What!?"
Both were shocked, doubting their own eyes for a moment.
"Wait, wasn't 'Dimension Wall' already destroyed by 'Double Cyclone'?"
"Did this guy cover two of the same trap card?"
The Supreme King quickly provided an answer, retrieving a card from the graveyard.
"The card you destroyed just now was a Trap Card 'Fake Trap'," said the Supreme King, "When a trap on your field is destroyed, this card can substitute for destruction.
So even though you aimed at 'Dimension Wall', the card that was destroyed and sent to the graveyard was this 'Fake Trap'."
Ed: "!"
Such a thing exists?
"Damn it!" Manjome's face fell, "If 'Dimension Wall' reflects damage, this battle will directly deal 1800 damage!
Principal Youyu will be instantly killed..."
Their eyes fell on Youyu, but Youyu's expression remained calm, seemingly unfazed by the sudden 'Dimension Wall'.
"I just used 'Double Cyclone' to aim at your card on the far left," Youyu said casually, "But after 'Dimension Wall' appeared and was blown away, it was the middle Set Card that disappeared."
Pausing, he squinted his eyes, "The tactic with 'Fake Trap' is something I taught you—I've said before that if you adopt a strategy with heavy traps for a long term, you might easily be targeted.
So do you think I wouldn't notice such details?"
The Supreme King: "..."
Youyu glanced at the Dark Magician Girl nearby, "That's the reason I summoned her back to the field."
The owner suddenly mentioned her, and the Dark Magician Girl exclaimed "Oh" as she quickly adjusted her small hat.
Although she didn't know how this level of divine battle was relevant to her, it seemed she was still an important role!
"The card discarded from the hand as the cost for 'A Feather of the Phoenix' is 'Makyura the Destructor'," Youyu continued coldly, "You've used this card in your previous turn, so you won't forget its effect, right?"
"Activating a trap card from the hand," the Supreme King said flatly.
"Exactly." Youyu waved his hand, "Continuous Trap 'Magicians' Combination'! Tribute 'Dark Magician Girl' on the field to negate the activation of the opponent's magic, trap, or monster effect!"
The Dark Magician Girl widened her emerald eyes showing a delighted expression.
Finally, able to help the owner!
A complex and sacred magical array unfolded, the girl held her breath and chanted the incantation earnestly, the Magic Staff swung with undeniable authority, and the torrent of Black Magic instantly shattered the activating 'Dimension Wall' into pieces!
The Supreme King frowned, "But because you consumed a card from your hand, the attack power of 'Slifer the Sky Dragon' has decreased."
[Slifer the Sky Dragon, Attack 5000 → Attack 4000]
"No need to worry," Youyu smiled, "But 'Magicians' Combination' has another effect alongside the negation which is to Special Summon 'Dark Magician' from the graveyard!"
Then the entire body vanished into light. The dark flow surged, and the Black Robe Magician leapt back from the graveyard to the field, as if stepping through a spinning circle.
[Dark Magician, Attack 2500]
"Revive Dark Magician... Wait," the Supreme King's gaze quickly fell on another card beside Youyu, "The goal is here, isn't it?"
Sure enough, Youyu immediately said, "Continuous Magic 'Card of Safe Return'! Draw three cards due to 'Dark Magician's' revival from the grave!
And at the same time, Slifer's attack power increases!"
[Slifer the Sky Dragon, Attack 4000 → Attack 7000]
Attack Power of Seven Thousand!
"Even more than the previous attack power!" Ed exclaimed.
"But in the declaration phase, I still have another card to activate." The Supreme King's tactics were not exhausted yet, "Pay my Life Points to half, activate Trap Card 'Soul Strike'!"
[Supreme King, LP 150 → LP 75]
"By paying half of my Life Points, increase the difference below 4000 to Malicious Bane's attack power until the end of the turn!"
[Evil Hero Malicious Bane, Attack 3200 → Attack 7125]
Attack power overtakes Slifer by 125 points!
But that's not the end—beating Slifer only causes 125 damage. Youyu's remaining Life Points are 600, this hit is still not lethal.
That's not what the Supreme King wants.
He wants a complete victory, to crush his opponent mercilessly within this turn!
"Field Magic 'Supreme King Castle's' effect!" The Supreme King showed another Evil Hero Card, briefly displayed and then discarded to the grave, "Send level eight 'Evil Hero Malicious Fiend' to the grave, increase Malicious Bane's attack power by 1600!"
[Evil Hero Malicious Bane, Attack 7125 → Attack 8725]
Malicious Bane's power is boosted once more! The Supreme King's aura grew stronger, the rich darkness enveloped the entire area, as black flames burned omnipresent, seemingly about to incinerate the space itself!
Slifer was suppressed!
The ultimate Evil Hero emitted a dark envelopment that obscured the red dragon, in a duel, the discrepancy in panel data is absolute, even a god is no exception.
If Slifer falls here, it would also announce Youyu's defeat!
"'Soul Strike'... risking the soul to achieve victory, this is the intention of a ruler?" Youyu said softly.
"Victory matters, the cost is trivial," the Supreme King's golden eyes remained firm, "The winner possesses everything."
"Actually, I don't entirely disagree with you."
Youyu shrugged, then his gaze sharpened.
"But in terms of resolve, I won't be inferior here either." Youyu said, "After all, I have only one student, and I will absolutely not let you take away... No matter the price."
"Resolve isn't spoken through words," the Supreme King coldly retorted, "Power is everything! Without strength, no amount of determination can change anything.
Disappear with your Egyptian God, then repent in another dimension, Duel King!"
There seemed to be no means left. Youyu stood with his head up, allowing the battle damage calculation step to end without any action, watching as the Egyptian God and the Evil Hero clashed violently in the air, until the slightly weaker Sky Dragon unwillingly fell, its body severed by the malevolent blade.
The Sky Dragon roared in frustration and fell once again.
The realm of the Egyptian God collapsed, boundless tides surged towards Youyu, as though determined to crush him into dust.
