Chapter 527 - Chapter 301: Bearing Everything to Change History

Yamato pondered for a moment and also felt that Mokgetsu's explanation was the most reasonable, but his expression remained tense, just as Uzumaki Naruto had said, locating a person in the vast Ninja World was extremely difficult.

"I don't think he's necessarily left Loulan. Since he desires to acquire the power of the Loulan Dragon Vein, how could he possibly pass up Loulan when there are no opposing ninjas to obstruct him?" said Mokgetsu, pushing his glasses up with his left hand.

"As for why there's no information, it's probably because he's worried you might also have followed him and changed your appearances."

"Tomorrow, I'll go negotiate with the queen and see if I can get some relevant information from her."

Naruto gave Mokgetsu a thumbs-up in gratitude, "Brother Mokgetsu, I'm really thankful! You seem amazing!"

Though everyone was in a fog, Mokgetsu managed to extract useful information and eventually obtain the answers they wanted.

"Of course, you also have to see who this is. Teacher Mokgetsu is omnipotent!" proclaimed Obito, a devoted follower of Sage Mokgetsu, immediately starting to promote his faith.

Slap!

Mokgetsu lightly tapped Obito's head by pinching his middle and index fingers together, smiling helplessly, "Even I don't know that I'm omnipotent."

Obito chuckled twice, indifferent to the divine punishment descending, reasoning that it's entirely reasonable for the omnipotent Sage Mokgetsu to be humble.

"Really, thank you for the trouble, Lord Mokgetsu." Yamato bowed in gratitude.

He was indeed very curious about Mokgetsu, wondering why such a gentle and amiable strong figure held no reputation in later generations; could it be due to an untimely death in battle?

Thinking of this made Yamato feel a bit heavy-hearted; even if he could deduce this outcome, he still couldn't offer any assistance to Mokgetsu.

"If Senior Kakashi were here, what would he do?" Yamato couldn't help but think.

Although Kakashi always bullied him and often acted off-plan during missions, the results always turned out well, which made Yamato trust Kakashi greatly.

As Yamato thought about it, he saw the youthful version of Kakashi sitting opposite him. After discussing their missions, Mokgetsu and the others began to share their task intelligence, with Kakashi reporting their day's findings to Mokgetsu with a serious face.

"Senior was pretty cute when he was younger, with bright eyes; why did they turn into dead-fish eyes later?" Comparing the young and old Kakashi, and glancing at the harmonious atmosphere of the Mokgetsu Squad, Yamato seemed to piece together a bit.

Evidently, there were four people, but he only recognized Kakashi.

After everything was communicated and they began to disperse, Mokgetsu was to start researching Fuinjutsu, Nohara Rin went to freshen up, and Obito and Kakashi started arguing again, quarreling all the way, while Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato returned to their room.

Four hours later, the door to Obito's room slowly opened with minimal sound, and then Obito peeked out, glancing left and right. After confirming he hadn't been discovered, he quietly walked to Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato's room.

Obito knocked gently twice on the door, then tiptoed inside.

"Obito, why are you being so cautious?" Uzumaki Naruto inquired, puzzled.

Yamato showed a hesitant expression; he could probably guess Obito's intention of secretly sneaking into their future transmigrators' room at night; what else could it be, but to learn about the future?

"Ahem, it's nothing. I just wanted to ask some questions." Obito did not hide his purpose, quickly explaining his reason for coming.

"Don't you guys know Teacher Mokgetsu? I mean, before you time-traveled?"

Obito kept his gaze fixed on Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato; he had been holding back all day, longing dearly for that answer.

"I don't know him. Today was my first time meeting Brother Mokgetsu," Uzumaki Naruto replied, shaking his head.

Mokgetsu was unique; Uzumaki Naruto felt that if he had ever met Mokgetsu before, he would definitely not have forgotten.

After Uzumaki Naruto's response, Obito shifted all his attention to Yamato, who seemed older than Uzumaki Naruto and presumably knew more than him.

"I don't know Lord Mokgetsu either." Yamato considered for a moment but ultimately decided not to avoid the question and answered Obito directly.

He indeed did not wish to alter history, but faced with Obito's somewhat pleading look, Yamato couldn't remain silent or lie.

"It's just that this shouldn't have much of an impact." Yamato reassured himself that he didn't even know of Habu Mokgetsu before coming.

"How could this be..." A puzzled expression appeared on Obito's face.

To him, a ninja as outstanding as Teacher Mokgetsu, no matter how low-profile, couldn't possibly be so unknown.

"Then who served as the deputy headmaster of the Ninja Academy?" Obito continued to inquire.

Yamato shook his head, indicating that he was unaware of this matter.

"Deputy headmaster? Does the Ninja Academy even have a deputy headmaster?" Uzumaki Naruto asked in confusion.

He only remembered the Hokage being the headmaster of the Ninja Academy, and nothing beyond that.

Obito thought frantically, pondering over where there would certainly be traces of Mokgetsu.

Yet, to his surprise, he couldn't think of anything; first of all, Mokgetsu was very low-profile. Even after beating back formidable foes like the Candidate for the Raikage, Mokgetsu advised them not to publicize it wildly. Furthermore, Obito was unsure if Mokgetsu held any other positions outside the Ninja Academy.

"That damned Kakashi, with Teacher Mokgetsu being so excellent, couldn't he just share some of his stories with other people?" A frustrated Obito internally chastised Kakashi.

Currently, the most certain piece of information was the future Kakashi, who was Yamato's senior and Uzumaki Naruto's teacher.
