Although Orochimaru mainly uses Snake Ninjutsu, he actually has mastered a large number of Five Elements Ninjutsu, once considered by Sarutobi Hiruzen as the most likely successor to his legacy. However, Orochimaru forged his own path, always using whatever was practical.

With such rapid retraction speed, it was extremely difficult to target the Jinchuriki at the back of the Three-Tails' head.
