Chapter 788 - Chapter 409: New Disciple Quota

PS: Due to not being able to think of a suitable third and fourth move, the previous chapter's reward has been changed to True Qi Fist (detailed explanation in author's notes)

"Gathering energy and condensing power, the skills drawn from high-level scrolls are truly impressive." Mokgetsu thought after organizing his memories.

Mokgetsu doesn't have much impression of True Qi Fist in the Pokemon anime, but he does remember the effects in the game.

In the Pokemon game, True Qi Fist is a fighting-type move with a power as high as 150 points, and the specific effect is to gather energy first and then launch an attack.

The system localized for Konoha translates to using a special technique called 'Qi Gathering' to condense all the body's chakra and physical strength onto the fist, then deliver an ultimate punch.

From Mokgetsu's perspective, True Qi Fist can be said to fully utilize the characteristic of 'bricks fly with great power'.

There's nothing else; it's the taijutsu that merges the entire body's power to exert extreme strength.

However, the need for gathering energy makes the use of True Qi Fist quite timing-sensitive, as gathering energy takes time. If it's one-on-one, you must find a way to create a gathering opportunity.

In multi-person battles, it's not much of a problem; teammates can help stall.

Mokgetsu took out Might Guy's training plan and added True Qi Fist to it.

The essence of True Qi Fist doesn't lie in the fist, but in the "True Qi," which is the gathering method.

As long as you practice enough, you can even use True Qi Kick or True Qi Kick Something.

...

At the end of the third semester, Mokgetsu went to the Ninja Academy, which he hadn't attended for more than half a year.

In the first semester, he would send a shadow clone to attend classes in Class 3-A, occasionally going himself to teach when he had time.

In the second semester, he was dispatched to the East Coast Battlefield and couldn't handle the Ninja Academy's courses, so he had to hire a well-reputed teacher from the Ninja Academy to take over his classes.

In the third semester, because Konoha lost quite a few ninjas in the war, they expanded enrollment and accelerated ninja training. Third-year students could directly graduate to become ninjas, so Class 3-A had a collective ninja internship, not needing a teacher to teach.

Although not teaching, Mokgetsu returned to the Ninja Academy once after coming off the battlefield to take a look at his former colleagues.

Maybe because of the huge change in identity and strength, Mokgetsu clearly felt the reticence of former colleagues, who started with "Lord Mokgetsu."

Seeing Mokgetsu still maintaining the same attitude as before made it a bit better, but Mokgetsu could feel the discomfort of Ueda Aya and Iketani Isamu.

Thus, Mokgetsu didn't stay long, chatting a bit before roaming around the school.

Due to the students from the third and fourth years going for internships, Mokgetsu didn't encounter many of the students he once taught. After all, besides the third and fourth years, only a few second-year students at the Ninja Academy who received training could be considered his students.

This time was different; with the end of internships and semester arrival, students from the third and fourth years returned to the Ninja Academy, restoring its usual bustle.

"Good morning, Teacher Mokgetsu."

Mokgetsu had just walked into the Ninja Academy when a respectful female voice greeted him.

"Mm, good morning." Mokgetsu smiled and nodded at Uzuki Yugao.

He had a good impression of Uzuki Yugao; she participated in the first holiday training in the second grade, and she took part in all three times the trainings where Mokgetsu was the main coach.

Their exchange caught the attention of students around, who realized the presence of Mokgetsu, the legendary teacher who left countless tales at the Ninja Academy.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, your title is really cool." Someone said excitedly about Mokgetsu's 'Blazing Sun' title.

"Teacher Mokgetsu, will you lead newly graduated Genin this year?" Someone wanted to know if there was an opportunity to join Mokgetsu's team this year.

"Blazing Sun Mokgetsu who made great achievements on the East Coast Battlefield?" Lower-grade students cared more about Mokgetsu's fame than his identity as a teacher.

With only one mouth, Mokgetsu couldn't possibly respond to the hundreds of students in front of him. He chose to answer the most frequently asked question.

"If nothing unexpected happens, I won't be leading new Genin in the coming years." Mokgetsu replied.

Strictly speaking, Mokgetsu had not been a formal leading teacher. The captains for Obito and Kakashi's team were Namikaze Minato; when Namikaze Minato was busy, Mokgetsu helped lead.

Many students showed disappointed expressions; they knew how fortunate it was to be taught by Mokgetsu.

"Everyone return to your classrooms; exams will start soon." Mokgetsu dispersed the gathered students and headed towards Class 3-A.

By the time Mokgetsu walked into the classroom, the students were almost all there.

"An undefeated life is truly lonely like the snow; I hope to have some challenging tasks after graduating." Anko sat on the desk with her arms crossed, looking like a lonely expert.

Hagane Kotetsu couldn't hold himself first; we're all graduates, how come you're so able to pretend?

"What's with undefeated? I can't recall you ever being first in the grade, oh no, never first in the class either." Hagane Kotetsu directly launched a counterattack.

As a good brother, Hagane Kotetsu remembered Anko's exam rankings too well. Anko's rank depended on which round she encountered Shisui.

"Have you ever seen me not being first in the third grade? The past is the past, now is now. Why not talk about just-born times if you're bringing the past into the present?" Anko retorted back, gesturing in the air.
