Chapter 574 - Chapter 572: My Student

On the other side, Kael, who was still in the maze, didn't know what the spectators outside were thinking.

After the hedges blocking the view disappeared, he too saw the trophy at the end of the flames.

The next second, Kael immediately ran over.

A Sphinx Beast was curled up at the edge of the flames, originally tasked with stopping the Champion to ask questions. But as Kael passed by, it suddenly took a keen interest in a stone on the ground, lowering its head, pretending not to see anything.

Kael smoothly reached the trophy, did not hesitate at all, and directly grabbed the shining handle of the trophy.

But Kael did not pick up the trophy,

He felt as though his whole body was being pulled, accompanied by a tremendous force, his feet left the ground.

Indeed it was a Portkey, Kael was delighted inside, and without struggling, allowed the trophy to take him flying through the whistling wind and swirling colors.

...

He didn't know how long it lasted, maybe a minute, or perhaps just a moment, Kael felt himself standing back on solid ground.

This place was completely out of Hogwarts' territory now, surrounded by dark, with pointed rooftops visible, seemingly on a hill.

"Quick, run… run!"

Before Kael could get a clear look, he heard a panting scream… the voice was somewhat familiar.

Kael looked up, Harry was lying on the ground, his leg seemed injured, and he was straining to crawl towards him using his arm.

"It's Voldemort…" Harry shouted painfully, "He's resurrected, and the Death Eaters, they…"

Alright, honestly, Harry didn't need to remind him, because the moment Kael appeared, he was already surrounded by several people wearing black hoods and masks.

"Oh, look who's here…" a hoarse voice came from behind.

The hooded people immediately made way, respectfully like servants.

Behind the crowd, a person wearing the same black cloak, but without a mask, emerged.

Tall and thin, paler than a skeleton, his eyes were red.

Also, he had no nose… only two thin slits like a snake… this feature was just too obvious.

Voldemort.

"My student, is this how you greet your professor?" Voldemort said leisurely, in a good mood, "I thought you'd be ecstatic to the point of screaming."

"Don't be ridiculous, you're not my professor." Kael retorted immediately.

With Harry nearby, he didn't want to take this blame.

"Truly heartless." Voldemort looked at him, "When you asked me how to gain immortality, this wasn't your attitude."

"What immortality, I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Not admitting, huh? No problem." Voldemort played with a wand between his fingers.

"You all must be curious…" he said to the surrounding Death Eaters:

"A few years ago, with Quirrell's help, I returned to Hogwarts, that was truly humiliating times, I could only parasitize like a bug on that fool's head, because my most trusted… you, not one of you tried to find me."

Though he seemed to be smiling, his tone was as cold as ice.

The surrounding Death Eaters immediately bowed their heads, prostrated on the ground, explaining while pleading for Voldemort's forgiveness.

Only one person, with an arm missing, pale skin and several freckles on his face, held his head high.

"Back then, a boy was the first to discover my existence."

Voldemort didn't glance at those prostrate people, continued saying: "That smart boy caused me quite a bit of trouble, he seemed to know a lot, and had great courage, he even dared to threaten the Dark Lord…"

Voldemort's eyes were fixed on Kael.

"I always thought it would take some time before I saw you again, my student… didn't expect you'd appear so soon, come to celebrate my resurrection?"

"If so, I like this gift very much!"

"It was me, Master, it was me…"

A Death Eater crawled up, "I turned the Triwizard Cup into a Portkey… that's how I brought him here, he is one of the Champions."

"Oh, Karkaroff." Voldemort glanced at him, "I always thought this cowardly, timid traitor would flee upon learning of my resurrection."

"Master, I would never betray Master." Karkaroff lowered his head further, sticking entirely to the ground.

"I was just lurking, always ready to welcome your arrival… By the way, that Harry Potter, it was me who captured him."

"Oh?" Voldemort looked at the only person not kneeling on the ground. "Barty, is it?"

"He was just too scared, and had no choice but to agree to help." Barty Crouch Jr sneered.

Although saying this, he did acknowledge Karkaroff's contribution in a roundabout way.

Very strange…

Kael furrowed his brows, Barty Crouch Jr's identity as a Death Eater was exposed by Karkaroff, yet now instead of adding insult to injury, he helped speak for him…

Are Death Eaters so magnanimous?

But now Kael has no time for further contemplation.

"Catch him…" Voldemort suddenly shouted fiercely, "I want him alive!"

The surrounding Death Eaters immediately moved, but Kael's action was even faster.

A roaring Fire Dragon emerged from the wand, within the blink of an eye, devoured a Death Eater who ran the fastest.

The scream only lasted less than a second, then completely fell silent.

"That's Fiendfyre!" someone screamed.

Other Death Eaters instinctively retreated, even with masks, one could clearly feel their bewilderment.

Isn't this a student?

Shouldn't he be using a Reductor Curse, or a Disarming Spell or something?

What kind of student raises his hand and casts Fiendfyre, and with such skillful execution!

Everyone looking at that vividly lifelike, all-devouring Fire Dragon in the sky, thought of Voldemort's first sentence upon encountering this person.

"…My student."

Hmm, alright, now it makes sense.

"A bunch of fools!" Voldemort screeched.

He merely raised his wand, immediately extinguished the Fire Dragon composed of Fiendfyre.

But the brief time was enough.

When the Death Eaters looked at Kael again, they noticed an extra golden feather and an inconspicuous bead in his hand.

Almost instinctively, Voldemort felt a wave of panic.

"Quick, stop him…"

"Click!"

Before he could finish, Kael crushed both items in his hand simultaneously.

The next second, the small hillside was engulfed by a dense mist.

The mist obscured everyone's view, and the Death Eaters rushing at Kael lost their target, bumping into each other.

"Bang…"

"What's going on…"

"I got him, Master… I got him!"

The Death Eaters were in disarray, even someone grabbed Voldemort who was walking over, and poked his nostril with their fingers…

"Avada…"

The next second, a green flash flickered through the mist.

"Useless, a bunch of fools!" Voldemort was furious.

But the mist appeared so suddenly, even he didn't react immediately.
