"Professor McGonagall, what do you think..."
Two hours later, Kael and the professors left the Room of Requirement just before curfew.
"Without a doubt, this is indeed the handiwork of Rowena Ravenclaw," Professor McGonagall said, "I can't think of anyone else capable of such a feat."
"Should I notify you when I come tomorrow?" Kael asked.
After all, there is only one key, and he didn't want to give it to anyone else, so if he wanted to go to the Room of Requirement, everyone had to go together.
"No need..."
"You can come by yourself..."
To Kael's surprise, all four professors declined his proposal.
"Does that seem strange to you?" Professor Babbling asked with a half-smile.
"A little." Kael replied truthfully.
Even though Ravenclaw's memories are mainly in Magic Text, the professors at Hogwarts weren't incompetent; they couldn't possibly not understand... at least Professor Babbling certainly had no issue.
Yet she, like Professor McGonagall, declined the invitation to go again without hesitation.
"It's like this..." Professor Babbling explained, "Unlike you, our understanding of magic has long formed into a system, one that runs through our entire lives and is difficult to change."
"Moreover, more importantly, this is your remedial lesson," Professor McGonagall added, "Lady Rowena Ravenclaw must have specifically adjusted and selected these lessons just for you... they suit you, but not us."
"Is there no help at all?" Kael frowned.
He originally hoped to use this "remedial lesson" to improve the overall combat capability of Hogwarts.
"Of course not, I'm just saying that the course content doesn't suit us," Professor McGonagall's expression became more serious. "But their unique insights on Transfiguration Technique and ideas vastly different from modern Transfiguration Magic are quite valuable for reference.
"I've gained a lot, but I need time to slowly organize these thoughts and ideas, trying to incorporate them into my magic; this is not something that can be done in a day or two."
"Same here," Professor Flitwick piped up with his high-pitched voice, "I've had some inspiration, maybe I can dig out that paper from ten years ago on wandless spellcasting theory.
"Previously, there were some reasons why my ideas couldn't be brought to fruition, but just now I saw another possibility."
"It's all thanks to you, Kael." Professor Flitwick happily patted Kael's back.
...that was as high as he could reach.
"Is that so?" Seeing the professors had gained something, Kael didn't say more.
As for Professor Sprout, she was not interested in Charms, only liking magical plants... unfortunately, a thousand years ago Hogwarts didn't have Herbology Class, and the potted plants displayed at school couldn't be taken out.
This was quite embarrassing.
You could say she was the only one who didn't gain much, but Professor Sprout herself didn't particularly mind either.
...
And after getting the professors' consent, Kael no longer had to consider other issues.
For several weeks after, he would go to the Room of Requirement early every morning and come out only in the evening.
Sometimes when it was too late, he would stay there directly overnight.
Given that the Room of Requirement replicated a complete Hogwarts, this naturally included the school's common rooms.
And everyone knew that the way to enter the Hufflepuff Common Room had never changed, so Kael easily knocked on the barrel door.
Unlike the common room in his memory, there were only nine dormitories here.
And, perhaps because it never appeared in Ravenclaw's memory, the common room was empty.
The feeling was somewhat strange, but it wasn't a problem to stay the night.
During this time, Kael could clearly feel his level of Magic Text gradually improving.
It wasn't the kind of surge forward, more like climbing stairs, slow but with every step very clear. This feeling was satisfying for Kael, even a bit addictive, making him reluctant to leave.
But that wasn't possible.
The lock Ravenclaw added to the Room of Requirement not only blocked others but also blocked House-elves.
They couldn't bring food inside.
If Kael wanted to eat, he had to go out.
But that was a minor issue; it was treated as attending regular classes, the only difference being that in the Room of Requirement it was always daytime, even if it was night outside, he could attend classes there.
However, to ensure he had enough energy each day, Kael would usually only stay until eleven. He'd then go back to the common room for a late-night snack and return the next morning.
Because he frequently appeared in the auditorium, and the professors helped provide excuses, there wasn't much fuss outside about him skipping classes.
Everyone just assumed he was reviewing in his own way. After all, by the seventh year, no decision seemed surprising, especially for those with excellent grades.
Some even spent their entire seventh year interning at the Ministry of Magic's Auror Office, like Nymphadora Tonks, who also graduated from Hufflepuff.
Such things no longer surprised anyone.
...
Under these circumstances, April quietly slipped by halfway.
