Cherreads

Chapter 949 - Chapter 752: Sweet Pudding (Part 2)

The weather is getting hotter. Patches of bright blue sky begin to appear over the castle towers—signs of summer's arrival—but they do not bring much good cheer to Hogwarts.

Many people find that recent assignments are becoming increasingly difficult.

At some point, the professors began to assign tasks with very uncommon topics.

Sometimes, they spend an hour in the library just to understand what the requirements are.

"Professor McGonagall probably forgot that we just took the O.W.L. exams last year and won't prepare for the N.E.W.T. exams until next year."

In the library, Ron couldn't help but complain: "Hermione, could you please tell me what the 'Gamp Definition' is? I only know Gamp's Transfiguration Basic Law; did they change its name?"

"Of course not," Hermione buried her head in a thick book, quickly saying, "The Gamp Definition is the theoretical basis of human transfiguration. It includes all the situations that might occur during human transfiguration... Find it yourself, it's in the book 'The Lion and the Wizard.'

"Thanks," Ron said casually and found that brown Transfiguration reference book.

Beside him, Harry is holding up a finger, vigorously waving his arm.

He is practicing wandless spellcasting, which is also the homework for Charm Class.

Don't know what Professor Flitwick is thinking; starting last week, he suddenly required everyone to try wandless spellcasting in class, and they aren't allowed to vocalize the spell.

It must be said, this is really hard.

Harry only feels his arm is about to fall off, but the parchment on the table only moves a little; he even wonders if it's the wind.

"Seriously... does Professor Flitwick's method really work!" Harry couldn't help but mutter.

"It definitely works," Hermione glanced up at him and said, "I succeeded in class. First, you need to calm down, mentally recite the spell, and absolutely not think about anything else!"

Harry tried several more times, still to no avail, and he rubbed his sore arm helplessly.

"No way, the Quidditch match is coming up soon... This year is Gryffindor's best chance to win the championship, I can't help but think about these things."

"Quidditch again." Hermione pursed her lips in great confusion. "Can't you find anything else besides Quidditch to think about?

"You can just learn from Kael. Last time he didn't participate in the Hufflepuff match, but Hufflepuff still won."

"It was a narrow victory," Harry corrected, "If the match had gone on for five more minutes, the situation would have been different."

"Am I analyzing the battle with you?" Hermione couldn't help raising her voice, but immediately clammed up.

She instinctively glanced around.

Luckily, because of the increasingly difficult assignments, many people are in the library flipping through books and muttering complaints softly; even if Madam Pince stops them, they will forcefully flip pages to vent their frustration.

So her voice wasn't particularly abrupt.

"Listen, if you want to complete Professor Flitwick's requirements in the next class, you must concentrate and forget the matches." Hermione said, "Maybe you can learn from Kael and put yourself in the substitute player position."

"That's impossible." Ron spoke up before Harry could say a word, "Don't forget, Harry is the best Seeker and most important; if he doesn't participate in the match, we're sure to lose."

"So you're saying that Professor Flitwick's assignments aren't important?" Hermione didn't back down at all, "Last year and five years ago, there were wandless spellcasting questions in the N.E.W.T. exams. Do you not want your certificates?"

"It's just a small question in the entire exam; it's not that exaggerated," Ron said indifferently, "Moreover, the N.E.W.T. is still a long way off."

Although Harry did not speak, his heart stood with Ron.

Giving up Quidditch? That's impossible, he definitely can't do it.

However, Hermione seemed to have guessed this too and glared at them angrily, pulling back her assignment from the middle.

"Then good luck, you two... Quidditch gentlemen." She said, stood up, and left the library with two books without looking back.

"Why is she angry again?" Ron couldn't help but mutter.

"You really shouldn't have argued with her." Harry sighed, somewhat regretting not stopping Ron just now.

After all, Hermione holds the assignments, and arguing with her is of no benefit, which is why he didn't say a word just now.

Why can't Ron learn his lesson?

The current assignments are way more difficult than before; without Hermione's help, can they really finish them on time?

Thinking of this, Harry sighed again.

Ron also felt a little regret, but for the sake of face, he stubbornly said, "So what, write it ourselves, then write it ourselves.

"Right, Harry, did you get Slughorn's real memory?"

"Still haven't," Harry felt even worse when mentioning this, "He always seems to be on guard against me, every time we're alone, he immediately finds an excuse to leave, and it's happened several times."

"You lack a bit of luck." A voice came from beside them.

It was Hermione who had returned, she was picking and choosing from books on the table, selected three more books, and prepared to go find Madam Pince.
