"I don't care!" Harry suddenly pulled out his wand, "Even if I get expelled, I'm going to make him pay a price!"
"Yes, yes, I know... but it's really not worth it." Ron tugged on Harry's arm, pulling him downstairs and saying, "If you really use a charm to attack a professor, you're bound to get expelled, and by that time even Headmaster Dumbledore won't be able to save you."
"Think about the task he assigned to you, maybe Snape is doing it on purpose, just to get you out of the school."
Harry suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"Come on, Harry," Ron continued to pull him downstairs, "We all know what kind of person Snape is. It's really not worth risking expulsion to go against him."
"Ron, maybe you're right," Harry said.
"You've come around?" Ron said happily, "Great, then let's head to the library quickly, Hermione is still waiting for us."
"No." Harry shook his head, glancing upstairs, "You go to the library, I have some things to do."
"What?" Ron was taken aback, "Don't tell me you're still going to find Snape. Didn't you just say..."
"Ron." Harry interrupted him, "I mean, Snape might really want to get me expelled."
He lowered his voice, "Snape and Malfoy have always been close, but we all know Lucius Malfoy is a Death Eater, and surely Snape is too, but he's managed to gain Dumbledore's trust through some means."
"What do you want to do?" Ron said, "Besides, we've suspected this for a long time, but no professor is willing to listen to us, right?"
"That's because we have no evidence," Harry said seriously, "As long as we can find evidence, we can expose Snape's lies... right now is a perfect opportunity, Snape actually came to the eighth floor."
"What does that have anything to do with it?" Ron didn't get it, "He's a professor, it shouldn't matter where he goes, right?"
"But we've never seen him on the eighth floor before," Harry said, "Besides, Professor Dumbledore isn't at school today, he's definitely not going to the Headmaster's Office."
"You mean he has another motive?" At this point, Ron caught on.
"Exactly." Harry nodded, "So I have to go see, as long as Snape is doing something bad, I can expose him in front of all the professors!"
Perhaps it was because of just losing fifty points, Harry's expression was very determined, and he turned around and ran upstairs.
Ron hesitated for a moment, but then gritted his teeth and followed.
"Wait for me, Harry, it's too dangerous for you to go alone."
...
The two of them returned to the eighth floor again, and when they stepped onto the corridor, for some reason, they all slowed their pace, like thieves, becoming sneaky.
"Do you know where Snape went?" Ron asked.
"No idea," Harry said, "but the eighth floor isn't that big, we can take our time looking."
"How long is that gonna take!" Ron suddenly regretted a little.
But since he was here, he could only accompany Harry, continuing to search every room for Snape.
To their surprise, after going around the entire eighth floor, they still didn't find Snape.
Unwilling to give up, Harry decided to try again. This time, he not only quickened his pace but even ceased to hide his intentions, directly opening every suspicious classroom door.
But he still couldn't find Snape.
"Strange, why isn't he here?" Harry scratched his head, full of confusion.
"Could he have gone to Professor McGonagall's office?" Ron asked tentatively.
"Impossible." Harry shook his head.
He was convinced that Snape was up to no good, how could he go to Professor McGonagall's office, wouldn't that be walking into a trap?
"Maybe it's the Room of Requirement." Ron unintentionally glanced at the tapestry of the dancing troll on the nearby wall.
"Don't forget, the Room of Requirement is already broken," Harry reminded him, "We've tried countless times over the past few days, and we just can't get inside."
"Yeah, so where did Snape go?"
The two were so absorbed in their conversation that they didn't notice someone approaching angrily from behind until...
"Ouch!" Ron let out a yelp of pain, turning his head to shout, "Who hit me... Hermione? What are you doing!"
"I should be the one asking that!" Still fuming, Hermione raised her hand again, flinging a small mirror.
This time, with Ron on guard, the mirror hit Harry square on the head.
"What on earth are you doing, why haven't you gone to the library yet!"
"We're looking for Snape." Ron quickly thought of something, "Wait, why are you back?"
It was fine when he didn't mention it, but Hermione got even angrier when he did.
Of course, she had been driven out, trying to save seats for the two of them, she turned down at least seven or eight people.
But the library was only so big, and all the other spots had already been filled.
Then, a fed-up Madam Pince kicked her out too, freeing up three seats for others.
Thinking of this, Hermione was furious, she had obviously messaged them an hour ago, but they had taken their sweet time.
"Sorry," Harry quickly explained and recounted what had happened earlier.
...
"So you lost fifty points for Gryffindor?" Hermione was at a loss for words, "Didn't I warn you long ago, Harry, not to confront Snape? It's no good for you."
