Almost everyone knows that the real holidays at Hogwarts are only Christmas and the end of the academic year. The so-called Easter holiday is entirely about spending two weeks writing the equivalent of two months' worth of assignments.
Of course, this year is no exception; this year's assignments are not only numerous but also challenging.
On the first day of the holiday, the library was packed, and several important books were all borrowed within an hour.
However, those who came later sought help from familiar friends or people from the same house and used the Doubling Charm to make do.
If someone doesn't know the Doubling Charm or if no one in the entire house got to the library early, they can only wait.
"It's insane..." Ron said, hurriedly pulling on his robe in the Gryffindor Common Room, "I got up so early just to go to the library.
"Usually on weekends, I don't get up until after nine, yet it's not even seven thirty now!"
"You better say fewer words," Harry said as he pulled on his robe too, "Hermione's already made it quite clear on the coins for communication that the library is getting more crowded and it's already full, if we don't go soon, she truly won't have any excuse to save us seats.
"Do you want to do your assignments in the Common Room yourself?"
Upon hearing Harry's words, Ron instinctively sped up his actions.
With such challenging assignments, if he had to do them alone, he wouldn't finish them in two weeks, let alone two months.
The same goes for Harry; that's why they have to go to the library. Only with Hermione's help can they possibly complete those assignments before the start of the term.
"Insane, whether professors or students, everyone is going mad!" Ron muttered softly and ran out of the Common Room with Harry.
The corridor was empty.
The two rushed down the stairs.
"Harry, have you figured out how you'll deal with Slughorn?" Ron asked in passing, "Has he invited you to any dinner or anything?"
"No." Harry replied, "He hasn't invited me for a long time, but I've heard McLeod goes almost three times a week, and Hermione goes twice a week."
"Why don't you just go over?" Ron suggested, "He likes you so much, he definitely wouldn't refuse."
"No, that would make my intentions too obvious," Harry shook his head, "I'm not trying to attend any dinner; I need to find a way to get that memory Slughorn has about Voldemort, if I go straight over, he'll definitely be on guard."
"Then what do you do?"
"I don't know either." Harry sighed, "But Hermione said last night she'd find a way to help me, though she didn't tell me what exactly she would do."
"I guess she plans to ask for you," Ron mused for a moment and said thoughtfully, "You just said it yourself, she attends two dinners a week, she'll definitely find an opportunity."
"Let's hope so."
...
Perhaps thinking about Dumbledore's task, or maybe too engrossed in conversation, Harry didn't pay attention and almost ran into someone coming from the opposite direction.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Harry instinctively apologized.
He didn't see who it was, but he saw a familiar black robe. With this color and style, he wouldn't forget even after fifty years.
Could it be...
Harry's heart skipped twice.
"Ah, Potter... hasn't anyone taught you to mind if there are other people around when going up and down stairs?"
A cold voice came.
"Or do you think the entire castle should be at the service of you... hmm, the Star of Salvation?"
No mistake...
Harry raised his head, looking at the gloomy face and greasy black hair of the person across.
"Snape..." he blurted out.
"You should address me as Professor Snape, Potter!" Snape said coldly, "Disrespecting a professor, ten points from Gryffindor!
"Shouting in the corridor, another ten points off!"
"I did not!" Harry couldn't help but raise his voice, "I wasn't shouting."
"It's not for you to decide, Potter." Snape glanced at him, "Just because you're called the Star of Salvation by others, doesn't mean you can arrogantly change school rules as you please."
"I'm not arrogant, and I don't want others to call me the Star of Salvation!" Harry looked at Snape, his neck veins bulging, panting heavily, eyes turning red as if he was an angry bull.
"We were just having a normal conversation!" he glared at Snape and said, instinctively gripping the wand in his pocket.
It seemed as if Snape just had to mock one more time and he'd give him a cruel spell.
Though his intentions were all too obvious.
"What, planning to attack me?" Snape sneered, "Thirty points off Gryffindor.
"Honestly, I really hope you pull out your wand, that way you can go home obediently; there's a train leaving today in two hours.
"If you're lucky enough, you'd be the only passenger."
Harry's face turned even redder, like he was about to explode at any moment.
Fortunately, Ron was still sober and quickly grabbed him, keeping Harry from pulling his hand out of his pocket.
Snape waited a bit longer, seeing Harry had no further reaction, shook his head disappointedly, and walked past them.
"Damn, I'm going to kill him!" When Snape's figure disappeared around the stair corner, Harry suddenly gritted his teeth and said.
"I know, I thought that too, but there's no need, Harry," Ron quickly advised, "Snape is a professor, you can't risk being expelled by attacking him, it's not worth it."
