He suddenly became somewhat curious about Kael.
"Let's put it this way." Fred took a bite of his sandwich, "From what I know about Kael, if those werewolves cooperate, there might be a chance for them to keep a life."
"But the chances are slim." George waved his hand, "So many days have passed, I bet Kael's patience has worn thin. I even suspect he might burn down the entire Dark Forest, taking out the werewolves inside along with it."
"No! That's impossible." Dedalo Digor said firmly, "Newt wouldn't let him do that."
...
Meanwhile, in the Dark Forest.
"It's just a simple Fiendfyre Curse, should be fine, right?" Kael looked at Newt beside him, feeling somewhat incomprehensible.
He was just about to cast a charm at the cave to solve those werewolves in one go when he was suddenly interrupted by the arrival of Newt.
The flame that had just formed dissipated in an instant.
"Have you forgotten that this is the Dark Forest, the only place in the United Kingdom suitable for most Fantastic Beasts other than the Forbidden Forest?" Newt glared at Kael, "Do you want to destroy this place?"
"It's just a cave, it can't be that serious." Kael muttered softly, "Besides, I can put them out…"
Newt's expression grew more serious, and Kael's voice grew quieter.
"Alright, I won't use it then."
Hearing Kael say this, Newt's expression improved slightly.
"And the Nundu is not allowed either." He continued, "Its toxin would spread throughout the forest, and the first to suffer would be the Bowtruckle leading you."
As he spoke, a piercing roar suddenly came from not far away.
It was unclear whether it was because the charm wasn't completed or their voices were too loud… they had been discovered.
A filthy person suddenly jumped down from a tree, screaming and recklessly aiming his wand at the place where Kael and Newt stood.
"Avada Kedavra!"
The hoarse voice was like some beast's low growl, and Kael and Newt quickly retreated, narrowly escaping the Killing Curse.
In the following few seconds, more werewolves emerged from various directions, but the cave right in front remained undisturbed.
This seemed to be a trap, or intentionally set as an entrance.
"As expected, werewolves are really cautious." Kael murmured to himself.
But now was no time to dwell on this.
Once the werewolves emerged, they immediately surrounded Kael and Newt.
At first, they were somewhat tense, but upon seeing there were only two of them, their expressions turned wild.
"Haha, you scared the crap out of me, I thought those annoying Order of Phoenix pests had come looking for us, but it's just one old undead, and a tender little kid..."
A long-limbed werewolf approached, his brown hair and beard tightly tangled together, a pungent odor emanating from him.
"Tell me how you found this place."
He grinned, revealing two rows of dirty teeth, "If your answer satisfies me, I might consider..."
"Letting us off the hook?" Kael interjected.
"Let you go? Ha… hahaha!" The werewolf laughed loudly, and the other werewolves joined in, mocking this wizard's cowardice and wild imagination.
"Since you found this place, don't think you'll leave alive." The leading werewolf extended his wand, and Kael could clearly see the yellow long nails on his fingers just like Fenrir Greyback's.
"But if your answer satisfies me, I can let you die a bit easier."
"Hmm, sure." Kael rubbed his chin, seemingly deliberating, "Can you keep your word?"
"Of course, I never lie." The werewolf grinned again.
But the next second, he heard a piercing scream again.
Not far away, a vine seemed to come alive, rushing straight toward a wizard's chest.
Because they hadn't transformed into werewolves, their bodies were as vulnerable as other wizards', the vine piercing through his body effortlessly, pinning him to a tree behind.
"Damn wizard, you dare to trick me!" The leading werewolf roared, pointing his wand at Kael.
"Avada..."
"Expelliarmus!"
Before finishing the Killing Curse, his wand flew from his hand, spinning into Kael's grip.
"What did you just say?" Kael toyed with the wand, asking innocently.
Then, without waiting for a response, he waved the wand directly, with several flickering Magic Texts in the air.
"Rampant Growth!"
The trees around seemed to come alive, twisting and writhing roots broke through the ground like fifty-foot-long giant serpents, flexibly coiling, trying to entangle all surrounding living things.
At the same time, more trees broke through the earth, joining the chaotic battlefield.
Some werewolves had never seen such magic, instinctively froze for a moment, but in that brief pause, their feet got entangled, followed by their legs, and entire bodies, wrapped up until they couldn't move.
"Quick, use Fiendfyre Curse!" Someone realized and shouted loudly.
But before he could take out his wand, he looked up to see a pair of bright dark purple eyes.
Then his eyes rolled back, falling asleep directly on the battlefield, his loud snores mixed with the screams, sounding somewhat out of place.
