Chapter 664 - Chapter 624: Playing the Piano

The World Tree shaped by Loki looks exactly like the World Tree of Asgard.

Of course, this isn't the one burned by Su Ming, but the lush appearance it has in Loki's memory.

The giant tree, like an enormous umbrella, casts a vast shadow on the ground. As the wind blows, some leaves gracefully fall, obscuring Loki's green silhouette.

When Su Ming and his party arrived, Loki was playing the piano under the World Tree.

A leaf spun down onto the piano, and he extended his slender fingers to gently remove it. Amid the dapples of light falling through the leaves and the newborn grass reflecting beneath, the scene had a certain aesthetic quality.

Everything was green, even the piano was green, it was quite pleasing to the eyes.

Who knows what Wade was thinking; not only did he create an expanse of green, but he also had Loki playing Queen's "Killer Queen." Just by looking at Loki's stiff back, one could tell he was unwilling.

Yet he had no choice; not only did Loki have to play, but he also had to sing while playing.

Fortunately, Deadpool seemed to have had enough of the gender jokes, and Loki reverted to his original form, a young man with long black hair draped over his shoulders.

Su Ming looked at Hamill and Ciri beside him, then at Secret Guest.

For Ciri and Hamill, the song doesn't exist, but for Secret Guest and Su Ming, it's already a classic oldie, showcasing the rupture of time.

But that didn't hinder Ciri's love for music; she's a fan of musical TV shows. How could the programs from the forties compare with the golden hits of the seventies?

"He plays the piano quite well."

Ciri tilted her head and listened for a while, she concluded, seeing that Deathstroke did not intend to act further, seemingly also listening to the music.

In the meantime, Secret Guest switched the Great Sword from the left hand to the right, and then back to the left. Her feet continuously alternated, finding it all very dull.

Music was something she had heard enough of at the Hell Border, where the Ancient Gods and Tentacle Monsters sang to her daily, a bizarre cacophony of sounds crude together that couldn't be ignored.

The sounds seemed to emanate from her own heart.

"No, I'm thinking." Su Ming touched his weapon, explaining to Ciri, "Everything we see now is quite beautiful, like a handsome prince playing the piano and singing under a big tree... But you have to know, this is something Deadpool conjured up. I'm not sure, if we walk over to see Loki's face, will you be able to endure the psychological shock?"

"Agree." Hamill rarely expressed an opinion, though not much acquainted with Deadpool, knowing the madness would seep into every aspect of that red-black silhouette.

Would you expect a violent madman to deliver a harmonious and beautiful conclusion? Consider yourself lucky if your guts aren't thrown on your face!

"I'll go have a look." Volunteered Secret Guest, thinking her endurance was the strongest, and if getting close to Loki wouldn't pose too big a risk.

His hands were both on the piano, after all.

So she didn't wait for Su Ming's response, she stepped forward. Her black combat boots left a shallow trail on the grass, extending toward the big tree.

However, when she bypassed to the other side of the piano, she seemed to glimpse something unspeakable and promptly vomited.

"Cloak!"

The Magic Floating Cloak was most advantageous at this moment, for it had no eyes.

The black cloak darted out to wrap Secret Guest and brought her back; she seemed to lose strength, collapsing into Su Ming's arms.

"It's him... it's him..."

The words couldn't come out, Secret Guest's tongue stiffened, unable to organize her speech.

Su Ming sucked in a cold breath, already understanding the situation. If anyone could so deeply unsettle Secret Guest, who dealt with various monsters daily, there was only one person capable.

That person was Wade.

Without hesitation, Su Ming slashed at himself several times, using the side effects of triggering the Healing Factor to heighten his bloodthirsty emotions, aiming to become as immune as possible to nausea.

He walked over and looked down.

Sure enough, the one playing the piano wasn't Loki; it was Wade.

His mask was gone, and his face was upside down. His mouth was on his forehead, nostrils facing upward, eyes on his chin, helping him see the piano keys.

Even prepared, and seeing this nightmare-like face, Su Ming gagged, because Wade's mouth kept uncontrollably singing, saliva flowing freely on that rotting skin.

"She keeps Moët et Chandon hidden in her pretty cabinet, she says, 'Why don't the poor eat cake?', just like Marie Antoinette, oblivious to the human world, she's a painkiller for Khrushchev and Kennedy…"

Wade tried to raise one side of his chin, singing while looking at his cousin with his tiny eyes filled with despair.

He was dressed in Loki's clothes, given long draped hair, looking even more disgusting.

Su Ming covered his face, sighed heavily, the previous thought proved correct; even with Infinity Stones at hand, Wade was still tricked by Loki.

But the Continuity Gem Loki couldn't use, Wade wouldn't be foolish enough to hand it over.

"Damn it, where's your gem?"

Upon hearing Su Ming's inquiry, Wade's butt nudged on the stool and slightly raised. He kept signaling with his eyes at Su Ming, seemingly indicating the gem was in his butt hole.

"She's a killer queen..."

Su Ming sighed, the Godslayer transformed instantly into a white light, beheading Wade.

At that moment, Wade playing the piano and singing was under Loki's control; asking where the gem was, could he actually point to the correct direction?

This was Loki's trap, a crude joke, banking on Deathstroke falling for it? Not likely.

Wade pouting and saying it's underneath, Su Ming could practically confirm the gem was in Wade's brain.

With a thought, Strangulation immediately drilled into the severed head's opening, checking for foreign objects throughout.

While it was inspecting, Wade kept singing like a detuned radio, "She's a killer queen, fierce firepower, good at her job…"

Strangulation drilled a hole in his skull, tossing out a tumor the size of a jujube, along with some matchsticks and a shriveled rubber Little Yellow Duck, finally finding the red-black gemstone.

The reason the gem would be in his head, Su Ming also realized, critical moments led Wade to swallow the gem, preventing it from falling into Loki's hands.

But he seemed to forget, his new mouth was on his forehead, pressing hard onto it, wasn't it direct into his brain?

This was a typical Deadpool-type mistake.

He stuffed the gem stained with brain matter into Deadpool's hand, the power pulling him up from the piano. With the help of Strangulation and the Cloak, Deadpool returned to normal, reattaching his singing head.

After several attempts, he halted, dry-mouthed, leaning aggrievedly on his cousin's chest:

"This damned Loki has rather sophisticated taste, choosing decent songs…"
