Chapter 825 - Chapter 780: Reunion

The inside of the Wave Rider was still the same. When he reached the bridge, Su Ming only saw Cindy and Sarah, the two of them looking out through the huge porthole, drinking beer while enjoying the view.

Against the pitch‑black backdrop, the silver‑gray Moon slowly appeared not far in front of them.

White Canary was publicly out of the closet, but Su Ming figured she still didn't dare make a move on Cindy; the two were just purely drinking.

The others were probably all in their own cabins. You could call this ship a research vessel and not be wrong. The only Professional Warriors on board were Heat Wave and White Canary; the others were historians, physicists, mathematicians, engineers, and so on.

Scholars are basically all the same, they go do their own research in their spare time.

Harley, who had been happily licking her lollipop, widened her eyes, looked at Su Ming, then at Cindy, and showed a puzzled expression.

But Su Ming only nodded at Cindy. She instantly got the message, put down the beer bottle, and followed Su Ming off to the side to talk in a low voice.

Harley's gaze stayed locked on the backs of the two. Two Deathstrokes? Or was it a couple's outfit?

Sarah's eyes, on the other hand, lit up as she looked at the two women. She stood up, straightened her clothes, and extended her hand to them. "Hi, I'm Captain Sarah Lance. Welcome aboard the Wave Rider."

Harley showed a big smile, holding the lollipop in one hand, twisting her waist as she shook Sarah's hand.

"Hi, gorgeous, I'm Harley Quinn, and this is my good friend Teng Teng. You got any heroin‑flavored pizza here? Or maybe call some folks over and we throw a weed party?"

Sarah's smile gradually faded. These two beautiful women were Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy!

Even though their outfits weren't the same as in her own Cosmos, that crazy vibe was identical. What the hell was Deathstroke doing, how could he bring this kind of lunatic chicks along?

Sarah looked anxiously toward the other side of the bridge, only to see Cindy nod at Su Ming and then walk off, the cabin door opening and closing with a metallic sound.

And this young Deathstroke, Sarah wasn't familiar with him at all.

"So? Made some new friends?" Su Ming walked over, expressionless, and asked Harley. Harley looked quite happy; among her hobbies there was one item that was Spacecraft—more precisely, big fireworks and rockets.

Sarah's expression, however, clearly carried a bit of awkwardness. She'd been trying to pick up a girl only to find out the girl was toxic—that was pretty awkward.

With the three of them staring at her, she pulled the zipper on her chest up to her chin, hiding the partly visible two hemispheres.

Harley shoved the lollipop into Ivy's hand, then jumped up and climbed onto Su Ming's back, resting her head on top of his helmet:

"I wanna throw a party here, I was just asking the captain's opinion, but if you're going to shake down the Justice League right now, I'd rather go there, hee‑hee‑hee‑hee..."

"You and Ivy go wait over there. I've got a few words for White Canary." Su Ming reached back and plucked her off his back, grabbing her by the scruff like a cat and setting her on the floor.

Harley sighed; what a boring place. But she quickly cheered up again, because at least there was booze here.

Su Ming walked toward the porthole and crooked his finger at Sarah, and Sarah, a bit stiff, walked over. She really did have some psychological shadow where Deathstroke was concerned.

Even if she didn't know whether other worlds had a White Canary, or had her, her teacher was Deathstroke, and the days on Purgatory Island really had been purgatory.

If Su Ming knew what she was thinking, he might tell her that the Main World also had a White Canary, but she was a Super Villain, a newly debuted top‑tier Assassin.

The Main World's White Canary was a Celestial Dynasty–Japan Mixed Blood, daughter of Master Huang, younger sister of Twelfth Silk Brother, but her Martial Arts had surpassed her predecessors, and she was extremely powerful.

Using no tech and no Magic, she had once wiped out the Birds of Prey in four moves using just Martial Arts, making Black Canary mistake her for Lady Siva's newest alt.

Deathstroke rarely took jobs in Asia, because after Siva faded from the Jianghu, contracts over there were basically monopolized by White Canary.

She was proficient in all Martial Arts of Earth, but in daily combat she used throwing darts and a Nine-Section Whip; her Lightweight Skill was also superb. She was a very hard‑to‑deal‑with top‑tier Martial Artist.

By comparison, the DCEU's White Canary Sarah was really letting this codename down...

"Did Briss give you any instructions?" Su Ming looked at the distant sun. It was strange—out in the Cosmos, staring straight at that Large Fireball, it didn't feel particularly dazzling.

"She just told us to go back after we drop you off." Sarah rubbed her elbow, looking like she felt a bit cold.

Su Ming pondered for a moment, then nodded slightly. "Then once we leave, you head back to Earth -11. But after Cindy sends out a signal, you're responsible for picking her up."

Sarah pressed her lips together and raised one eyebrow. "But Briss..."

Su Ming cut her off, smiling as he patted her shoulder, his gaze drifting into the distance outside the window. "I'm much scarier than Briss, believe me... I can travel between different universes. I'm sure Director Lance doesn't want to wake up in the middle of the night and see me standing by his bed, right?"

Sarah frowned, her little fists clenched tight, but in the end she sighed. "Don't touch my dad. I'll do what you say."

Su Ming turned and left, the black‑and‑yellow Mask climbing up his face. "Very good. Briss won't blame you, because your decision is going to save the Multiverse."

Sarah shook her head and rolled her eyes. If only that were actually true.

"Let's go, ladies, I'll take you to see some animals."

Su Ming extended his hand toward Harley and Ivy on the chairs. Harley unceremoniously put her hand in his, her other hand holding a beer bottle with her fingers delicately raised.

"This beer is so lame. But are we really going to the zoo in the middle of the night? To see little tiger‑wigers?"

If the beer's lame, why's your tongue getting all thick?

Su Ming took a deep breath, telling himself not to take Harley too seriously. But before the Joker showed up he had to keep her with him, and when facing Mad Laugh he still had to hide her. What a pain.

"Wrong guess. We're going to see a Gorilla." Su Ming shrugged and reached his hand into the air in front of him. "Teleportation Gate, Forgotten Bar."

...............

"Clack."

Bo Bo put his glass down on the bar, wiped the foam from his mouth, and looked at Su Ming beside him. Right now, the bar was as lively as a circus.

Harley had spotted Damian the moment she walked in and was thrilled to play a game with him. The game was called "Intimate Encounter Between Bat Brat and Big Hammer."

Thankfully, the Shadow Contract Team had Banshee and Night Shadow. The two of them were former members of the Suicide Squad and also acquaintances of the Bat Clan, and they played the role of peacemakers in the middle. Damian also kept himself restrained, so a fight didn't break out.

Trish, under Bo Bo's hint, had tricked Harley away by posing as her number‑one fan, which should buy some time. Meanwhile, Su Ming was acting like nothing was happening, drinking with Bo Bo at the bar and laying out his plan.

Bo Bo stared at Su Ming for a long time, but in the end he lost and was the first to speak. "You really plan on going to Eternal Rock?"

Su Ming knew what the Gorilla was worried about, but he was prepared. "Of course. That place is the Magic Realm intersection of all Multiverses. It's convenient, isn't it?"
