Chapter 826 - Chapter 781: Mercenary Squad

The Eternal Rock is a place that doesn't exist in the physical concept, although it's quite large, its energy level isn't as high as the Spirit Thin Prison.

It used to belong to the Eternal Council, the group of Immortals that planned to surrender to Barbatos during the Metal Events.

Now, the base of the Destruction Legion, the Eternal Fortress, is paired with the Eternal Rock, a vast foundation divided into seven kingdoms with one city that can autonomously detach itself.

If the Eternal Rock is a teapot, then the Eternal Fortress is the matching teacup. Whether it's the teapot or the teacup, these two items can actually be used separately.

The Eternal Rock is currently in a semi-abandoned state, and Shazam and his little friends sometimes go there to play, but don't expect a group of kids to clean up.

The world changes caused by the Inverted Man, whether they affected Shazam and Black Adam or not, Su Ming doesn't care, he's just interested in the secrecy and convenient transportation of the Eternal Rock.

Now, the Eternal Council should have been mostly killed by Luthor, so other than Luthor, the current controller of the Eternal Fortress, no one else knows the location of the Eternal Rock.

And if Luthor dares to let the Eternal Fortress return to the Eternal Rock, that would be perfect, Su Ming would certainly take him down on the spot.

Su Ming understands Bo Bo's concerns, which are merely about the danger of hiding under the enemy's nose, but right now, Luthor is completely focused on the Totality, and since the Eternal Fortress was stolen, he wouldn't really discover Su Ming going to the Eternal Rock.

On a natural magic focus, backed by an existence like the Inverted Man, as long as Su Ming imitates the protective array system of Kama Taiji, connecting the three magic pillars on Earth-0 to form a barrier protecting the Earth...

What else does Mad Laugh want to play with the teleportation of the Monster Army? By then, he probably won't even find the reason for the teleportation failure in a short time, because this magic system originated from Marvel.

It's just that the Tower of Destiny was blown up by Alabell using a Forbidden Curse, so the three pillars are currently missing one. Su Ming plans to use the Green of All Things to recreate a movable node.

The Green of All Things is now divided into three categories: the Tree Council representing trees, the Hundred Flowers Council representing flowers, and the May Queen representing vines.

Originally, The Green of All Things had many deputies, such as the Swamp Monster, Black Orchid, and others. But under Hecate's manipulation, it forcefully separated trees and flowers, creating the Hundred Flowers Council, meaning the Swamp Monster's power source instantly halved, reducing its strength significantly.

The Tree Council previously suffered heavy casualties due to Black Orchid's raid, and Su Ming set a fire to defeat Black Orchid, causing tension between both parties.

And after that, they also faced the Hundred Flowers Council's attack. It's unknown how effective Batman's dispatch of Clark for mediation was, but the subsequent flood must have severely affected them both, temporarily preventing internal conflict.

With Hecate gone, the Hundred Flowers Council is ownerless; if this power can't be used for oneself, it will definitely be picked up by the enemy.

Therefore, Su Ming plans to have Poison Ivy handle this matter; in the rainforest, Ivy is practically invincible. Through her relationship with the May Queen, it might be possible to gain control of the Hundred Flowers Council.

At least the negotiation result should be better than Superman, right? The May Queen always only recognises Poison Ivy, and this recognition is now an important bargaining chip.

And as long as Harley is in hand, there's no need to worry about Ivy's ambitions exceeding control.

Mad Laugh interrupted not only Su Ming's plan, but surely Luthor's plan as well. Luthor's Genesis is still two days away, and next is to make day indistinguishable from night, then to create Neo-Humans by eradicating the Red of All Beings.

Funnily enough, Mad Laugh first targeted the Red of All Beings, using monsters to attack Earth's creatures. This way, Luthor should also feel troubled because his plan surely wasn't like this.

However, the key problem still depends on how far Luthor's research into the Totality has gone.

...................

In the Gotham City suburbs, at the place Su Ming and others had left, under the moonlight, another string of black shadows entered the small room.

A pair of purple gloves lifted up a head from the ground, looking at the smile on that strange face, tilting the head to carefully examine, the shoulders continuously trembling, as if enduring something.

This figure gently tossed the monster head, and the black-and-white shoes suddenly made contact with this head, sending it flying out the door with a whoosh.

The figure made a shade with his hand over his eyes, watching the monster head drop into the roadside mud puddle, splashing big water droplets, he immediately performed a gymnast's finishing move ceremony, his arms opened diagonally upward like wings, raising his chest.

But soon, his arms softened, naturally dropping to his own head, intertwining his fingers in his hair, forcefully scratching his scalp.

"Hahahahahahahahaha.... ahahahahaha!"

He laughed bending back and forth, that head seemed to provide a laugh point incomprehensible to others, he laughed until he couldn't stand steadily, stumbling a few steps to lean on the piano, rolling over the cover while clutching his stomach.

The people who came along with him had naturally gotten used to his behavior; when the Joker laughs and what he laughs about is always a mystery.

No one can keep up with his thinking, his madness always conceals a purpose that strikes directly at the heart.

"Joker, you didn't bring us here just to watch you go crazy, did you?"

A tall figure, arms crossed, spoke gloomily. He was so strong, his arms were about as thick as the Joker's waist.

The Joker flipped over and sat up, elegantly crossed his legs, his shoulders still twitching, gently wiping his tears.

In the darkness, his pale face and that massive grin were unmistakable.

"Ah, death, darkness, smiles, these always move me. You can't appreciate this beauty, but I don't blame you."

"I have researched death, and indeed, it is quite funny," a figure, lacking skin and resembling a corpse, emerged from the shadows.

This voice was indiscernible, genderless, only visible in the moonlight where a tongue slipped through broken facial muscles.

The Joker clapped loudly, as if in agreement with her, his hands pressing the piano lid before jumping down to the ground: "Alright, haha, Gotham City's elites, my friends, the new game begins now. As long as you get your parts done... bam! Making money is a piece of cake!"

The corpse-like woman stroked the few strands of hair left on her head, the white long hair resembling dry grass emerging from cracks in the stone.

"My task is the most dangerous, I should get more money."

"Blah blah blah..." The Joker wobbled his head, stuck out his tongue, licking his lips, spittle flying everywhere: "Don't talk to me about that! How the money is divided, you discuss with Bane, but if you can't make me happy, do you know what a banana thinks before it's eaten? Huh?! Hahahaha..."

"The Antlion Butterfly felt the hunger in his stomach, saliva gradually dripped from his mouth, he wanted to eat the corpses on the ground." A monster with three pairs of limbs and tattered butterfly wings on its back walked straight towards the two corpses in the room.

The Joker flipped his wrist, making a gesture of "be my guest": "Bon appétit, my winged friend, have I ever told you I like animals that can fly? Haha, uh, moths don't seem to be animals, I'm wrong again, hahaha..."

After laughing for a while, the Joker suddenly stopped, as if his throat had been squeezed, his tone turning dark and sinister.

"Now there are too many people in the game, we must throw out some uninteresting ones. Batman is mine!"

Bane patted his chest: "As long as the money is right, I can help you break his back."

The Joker's bloodshot eyes suddenly shifted towards him, filled with madness and obsession: "I said Batman is mine! Are you having comprehension issues?! If you dare touch him I'll kill you!"

Bane took a deep breath, repressing his anger. They escaped from Arkham during the flood, not only civilians are left with nothing, they're the same.

Not just the configuration of Titan Venom, but updating equipment, he needed money, being a mercenary isn't easy.

That was the reason, when the Joker swung a Golden Yuan Staff to find them, none of them could refuse the Joker's recruitment.

The Joker treated money as dirt, always being very generous, as long as he wasn't his triggers, he was the type of employer mercenaries liked.

He didn't care about the process, didn't mind the means, he only wanted results, and he'd personally face the strongest enemies.

They didn't know where the Joker was before nor what he'd done, now he's gone mad again, pulling together a troop in Gotham, seemingly preparing to wage a war with someone.

But no one could discern his purpose, because the entire plan didn't sound like it's aimed at Batman at all.

However, it was none of their concern, only the sound of the Antlion Butterfly chewing on the corpse coming from nearby, moist and sticky.

The Joker trembled, forcefully inhaling, sticking out his tongue panting, and suddenly started laughing.

"No worries, Bane, my friend, go get the job done, what I said earlier was too impulsive, you know, I miss him very much."

As he spoke, he put his hand on his face, the dried blood forming flakes, leaving long marks on his pale face.

He wiped his nose with his sleeve and walked out of the room first, looking up at the sky, at that familiar bat-shaped shadow.

Limping onto the road, picking up the monster's head from the puddle, holding the broken neck vertebra, he jumped onto the curb.

The green-haired madman used the head as an umbrella, lifted it to look at himself, then danced between the curb and mud pit to "Rain Song," kicking mud everywhere, laughing joyfully.

"Get moving, fellows, time is money, your money, hurry, hurry bring Batman to me, ahahahahahahahahahahaha..."
