Chapter 135: Water Deck + PK VS Cyber Dragon
After Yuto's persuasion, Sugihara Yo calmed down. Yuto was right. With Yūga Hōzumi absent, the entire Resistance Army's defense relied on the two of them. They had no right to speak of chivalry.
So, Sugihara Yo and Yuto stood together before Ryo Marufuji.
"If it's two-on-one, how about I set the rules?" Ryo Marufuji asked. "You two will share the field, Graveyard, and 4000 Life Points. I will go first, and my Life Points will be double yours at 8000. Any problems with that?"
"Fine by us," Sugihara Yo and Yuto nodded.

"My turn!" Ryo Marufuji declared.
"I summon Cyber Dragon Core in Attack Position!"
"When Cyber Dragon Core is summoned, I can add one 'Cyber' or 'Cybernetic' Spell or Trap Card from my Deck to my hand. I'll add the Spell Card, Cyber Emergency, to my hand."
"I activate the Spell Card, Cyber Emergency! From my Deck, I add one 'Cyber Dragon' monster or one LIGHT Machine monster that cannot be Normal Summoned to my hand."
"I add Cyber Dragon Herz to my hand."
"Next, I activate the Field Spell, Fusion Recycling Plant!"
"Fusion Recycling Plant's effect activates! Once per turn, by discarding one card, I can add one 'Polymerization' from my Deck or Graveyard to my hand."
"I discard Cyber Dragon Herz from my hand and add the Spell Card, Polymerization, from my Deck to my hand."

Ryo Marufuji clasped his hands before his chest. A mechanical dragon, wreathed in lightning, slowly assembled within the magnetic field formed by the Spell Card.
"Rampaging mechanical chimera, crush everything before your eyes! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 5! Chimeratech Rampage Dragon!"

"You can't attack on the first turn. Is this just to fill your Graveyard?" Yuto frowned.
"Next, I activate the Spell Card, Cyber Revsystem! I'll Special Summon one 'Cyber Dragon' from my Graveyard!"
"Appear! Cyber Dragon!"
"I overlay my two Level 5 monsters!"
"O Mechanical Dragon, bringer of fear, open a new future for the Cyber style in a new form! Xyz Summon! Rank 5! Cyber Dragon Nova!"
The roar of machinery echoed ceaselessly from within the swirling galaxy. A moment later, a mechanical dragon, its body traced with dark red patterns, spread its wings and landed before Ryo Marufuji.

Faced with Ryo Marufuji's sudden Xyz Summon, Yuto and Sugihara Yo were startled at first, but then Sugihara Yo sneered, "So your confidence comes from this fake Xyz Summon you learned from who knows where?"
"Why don't you experience my Xyz Summon for yourselves before you pass judgment? Cyber Dragon Nova's effect activates!"
"Once per turn, I can detach one of this card's Xyz Materials to Special Summon one 'Cyber Dragon' from my Graveyard. I'll Special Summon Cyber Dragon Nachster, whose name is treated as 'Cyber Dragon' in the Graveyard!"

As if freed from its restraints by the galactic vortex beneath it, a torrent of immense, dark-red electricity burst forth from the mechanical dragon before Ryo Marufuji.

"You've even learned a higher-Rank Xyz Change? Not bad," Sugihara Yo sneered.
"I'm not like that conceited idiot, Aster Phoenix. All I care about is victory," Ryo Marufuji said.
"Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect activates! Once per turn, I can target one face-up Attack Position monster on the field and attach it to this card as an Xyz Material. I'll attach the Cyber Dragon Nachster on my field to this card as material."
"Cyber Dragon Infinity's ATK increases by 200 for each of its Xyz Materials."

"I set two cards and end my turn."
"During the End Phase, the effect of my Field Spell, Fusion Recycling Plant, activates! I can recover one monster from my Graveyard that was used as Fusion Material this turn. I'll add Cyber Dragon Core to my hand."
Ryo Marufuji ended his turn. "Come on, let me see what your 'pure' Xyz Summon is like!"
"As you wish," Sugihara Yo said, exchanging a glance with Yuto before deciding to take the lead.
"My turn! I draw!" Sugihara Yo drew a card.
"I summon Cutter Shark in Attack Position!"
"Cutter Shark's effect activates! I target it to Special Summon a Fish-Type monster with the same Level but a different name from my Deck in Defense Position."
"Appear! Right-Hand Shark!"
"I overlay my two Level 4 monsters! Roar of the unknown! Manifest your form from the darkness of the abyss! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Bahamut Shark!"
From the pale blue vortex, a shark-headed humanoid with dragon wings on its back sprang forth, shielding Sugihara Yo and confronting the mechanical dragon.
Bahamut Shark ATK: 2600
"Bahamut Shark's effect activates! Once per turn, I can detach one of its Xyz Materials to Special Summon one Rank 3 or lower WATER Xyz Monster from my Extra Deck. This turn, this card cannot attack."
"A powerful combo that summons two Xyz Monsters with one card? This is where it ends! Cyber Dragon Infinity's effect activates!" Ryo Marufuji waved his hand, and the dark red lightning within the mechanical dragon before him instantly grew volatile.
"Once per turn, when a card or effect is activated, I can detach one Xyz Material from this card to negate that activation and destroy it."
The energy accumulated within Cyber Dragon Infinity was unleashed in an instant. A searing laser erupted from its mouth, shattering Bahamut Shark.
