As for the Power Stone, it had been casually discarded here by the cosmic entity Seeker Ethan after he used it to annihilate a planet.
Morag, after millions of years of slumber, was now being visited once again by outsiders.
The sky was dim, the ground ruined, and not a trace of life remained.
Universe warships had come and gone countless times, leaving the surface stripped bare—broken concrete pillars, rubble, and pitiful dirt.
"Alas, even a mouse would weep here; it's cleaner than if a dog had gnawed on it!"
Leo shook his head, speechless. Universe Raiders organizations were truly impoverished, scavenging everything they could find.
"Husband, it's so desolate here. Nothing lives, and everything is gray. Let's finish our business quickly and leave."
Wanda looked at the sky, disappointed. Their first stop in the universe—this? A mood killer for sure.
"Wanda is right," Natasha added. "Let's hurry."
The women urged Leo on. Morag wasn't a place for lingering; the atmosphere itself was oppressive and eerie.
"Alright, I'll be as quick as possible," Leo promised.
He pulled out eight Power Stones and floated into the air, letting them resonate.
Even a faint resonance could help him locate the hidden Stone—after all, they were originally one.
The Stones didn't disappoint. In moments, they all emitted faint purple light, trembling toward a specific direction.
Leo noticed the anomaly immediately and followed them, soaring over the ruins.
"You all wait here; I'll be back shortly," he instructed.
"Go, we'll wait for you!" the women replied in unison.
Flying over the abandoned planet, Leo smashed through ruins effortlessly with telekinesis, the crumbling walls and pillars nothing more than dust before him.
In less than a minute, the Stones led him to a ruined temple.
Ah, just like Peter Quill in the movie, Leo thought.
"Haha, came here without effort. Genius strikes again! The Stones are connected!"
Normally, Infinity Stones don't interact with each other—they resist external influence.
But Power Stones could sense one another. Their shared origin allowed this connection.
Sure enough, buried deep underground, the Power Stone of this Universe rose toward Leo's Stones, excitedly rushing to them.
The dim sky lit up with an impossible purple brilliance. Energy chains formed, linking all the Stones into one inseparable network.
As for the Stone's previous carrier? Instantly reduced to ash. The Power Stone represented violent, uncontrollable power.
Ordinary beings—and even divine bodies—couldn't resist it. Attempting to control it physically meant instant annihilation.
Even Star-Lord, Rocket, and Drax had barely survived when the Collector's handmaiden perished before it. Ronan hadn't fared so well.
The linked Power Stones emitted an extraordinary energy signature, sending ripples across the cosmos.
Nearby Universe Raiders, merchants, the Nova Corps, the Kree Empire, and even the Shi'ar detected the anomaly.
Lightning split the sky over Morag as the Stone's energy flooded the atmosphere.
Everyone who had been monitoring for the Collector's bounty immediately noticed the fluctuations.
"Boss Yondu! Morag's acting weird! Should we go grab a piece?" a gray-skinned subordinate asked.
Yondu grinned, flashing his gold teeth. "What are you waiting for? Gather the crew and head to Morag!"
Meanwhile, at the Kree intelligence base on Xandar:
"Your Excellency Ronan, the energy above Morag has suddenly spiked. It may be the Cosmic Orb. Should we dispatch troops?"
Ronan sneered with delight. "Hahaha, excellent news. But no rush—let them come to me."
At the Nova Corps command on Xandar:
"Queen Adora, Morag shows an unusual energy surge—suspected Cosmic Orb activity. Should we deploy?"
Adora frowned, then sighed. "This is bad news. The Collector's bounty will drive everyone insane, especially ambitious fools like Ronan. We must contend for it. Deploy the fleet!"
Knowhere, the Collector's lair:
"Your Excellency, the Cosmic Orb has appeared on Morag. Shall we retrieve it?" Carina asked cautiously.
The Collector sipped his wine, calm as ever. "No. Let them fight it out. Why wade into a meat grinder? Eventually, they'll bring the Orb to me. Money—always omnipotent."
Morag, long-dormant, now once again attracted the attention of every nearby star system.
A major battle seemed imminent. Many dreamt of wealth and power after claiming the Orb.
Few realized that Morag would be their nightmare… and death, their end.
