Vale stared listlessly at the sight.
The influence of Lust was powerful, but not overtly tyrannical.
He still felt some sort of true companionship with the pitiful goblin. He still couldn't say he loved Toy, or anyone, he could at least declare that he enjoyed being around her and didn't feel joy at watching her suffer.
With these thoughts raging in his mind, Vale began to walk over to help her, even if it was too late.
But Salome stopped him as she promised she would.
Toy cried out in pain as the frog held the sword in her abdomen.
"Yahh!"
The green frog tried to twist the blade to further mar Toy's intestines, but the determined goblin gripped the blade around the sharp ridge and held it still, allowing the ends to dig deeply into her fingers and palm.
Toy coughed up a mountain of blood as she patted the stone floor of the dungeon with her free hand, repeatedly searching for her lost blade.
Her fingers nudged the hilt.
