After speaking, Shura tightened his goggles, grabbed his long cone weapon, leaped onto his mount, and charged straight toward Chopper.
Chopper was already badly hurt — facing Shura's speed, he couldn't possibly dodge.
In a flash, Shura gripped Chopper by the neck, weapon raised, ready to finish him.
Just when Chopper fell into despair — a shadow streaked through the sky.
The Sky Knight — Gan Fall — had finally arrived!
Shura originally planned to wait until Sandy showed up so he could kill him too… but instead, it was that old man.
"Hm?" Sensing movement with his Observation Haki, Shura abandoned Chopper and swung his weapon upward.
Clang!
Metal clashed loudly in the silent air.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Gan Fall said coolly.
His long white beard fluttered in the wind — to Chopper, he suddenly looked unbelievably cool and heroic.
"Sky Knight!!! Waaaaah!!" Chopper cried excitedly.
"Tch." Shura curled his lips. "Well, well. Look who decided to show up."
After the clash, they separated — each landing back on their mounts. Both prepared for high-altitude battle.
"GAN FALL!" Shura rushed upward from below.
Gan Fall readied his strike from above. "Truly a worthy opponent!"
Shura growled, "Old relic of the past — what business do you have here? This island doesn't need two Gods."
Clang!
Sparks burst from another collision. They split apart again.
Their third exchange became a duel of speed and Observation Haki.
Gan Fall suddenly appeared behind Shura — before Shura could react…
Gan Fall pressed his palm forward — unleashing a Skypiea weapon:
Impact Dial!!
BOOM!
Shura was blasted away — but as God Enel's Enforcer, he only took minor damage.
"Damn you!" Shura roared, regaining control on his mount. "You came prepared! You're a criminal — accept God's punishment!"
"Ordeal of String!!"
Shura spread razor-thin rope clouds throughout the air — a deadly invisible trap.
The two fought fiercely — strength, speed, endurance — evenly matched from Chopper's viewpoint.
"I can't even tell what they're doing! They're amazing!" Chopper gasped.
Meanwhile, after comprehending inside his spatial backpack for a while, Sandy felt uneasy — Chopper was too weak to be left alone long.
The moment he came out — Sandy frowned.
A fight had already broken out?
Gan Fall, worn from his earlier battles and age, slipped — caught by Shura's invisible strings. Both he and his mount were trapped in mid-air, unable to move.
"Heh-heh-heh…" Shura's eyes gleamed. "What's wrong, Gan Fall?"
Gan Fall broke into sweat. Horrified, he shouted, "What did you do to me, you bastard!?"
Shura pointed his weapon toward Gan Fall's chest and dove.
"There's no need for a dead man to ask questions. Gan Fall — offer your life to God Enel—"
The weapon stopped — blocked just inches from Gan Fall's heart.
Because Sandy had grabbed it.
Expression full of black lines, Sandy really didn't know how to explain where he had been.
"WHOAAA!" Chopper sobbed in relief. "Sandy!! You bastard! Where did you go!? The Merry!! The Merry—!!"
"Yeah…" Sandy muttered. "I know. We're supposed to fix the ship… but the main mast is gone."
Smoke curled from his voice as he glared up — eyes sharp and cold.
"You're the one who destroyed it, right?"
Chopper wanted to confess he actually broke the mast — but Sandy's aura was terrifying. The pressure was crushing.
He couldn't speak at all.
Shura tugged hard, but the weapon wouldn't budge — Sandy held it like a rock.
"Who are you?" Shura snarled. "His companion? Don't worry — you'll offer your life to God Enel next—"
Sandy interrupted, calm but deadly:
"You burned the Merry Go.
You injured Chopper.
And you dared lay a hand on this great old man beside me…"
His eyes narrowed.
"That so-called God of yours isn't even worthy to smell this old man's farts."
"Ugh—!!"
CRACK—BOOM!!
Sandy flick-kicked Shura into the Sea of Clouds, sending him screaming.
As for the mount — the three-meter bird Fuza — Sandy grabbed its head, squeezed, and flung it after its rider.
"Su-Sugoi!!!" Chopper gasped. The power gap was terrifying.
But then he noticed something… Sandy was standing in mid-air.
"Sandy!! There's NOTHING under your feet!! How are you doing that!?"
"What?" Sandy blinked, then casually ripped apart the invisible strings binding Gan Fall.
"I mean — YOU'RE FLOATING!!!" Chopper yelled.
Sandy glanced down.
It was empty air.
"…SO HIGH—!!"
And he dropped.
"Old man!! Don't just hover there!! SAVE MEEEEE—!!!"
"W-wait, what!?" Chopper's eyes bulged. "You JUST realized!?"
A short time later…
Cough, cough.
After retrieving the Merry's broken mast from below, Sandy insisted.
"I didn't fall. I went down to pick up the mast. Okay?"
Chopper pouted. "I don't believe you! I don't believe you!!"
Gan Fall sighed with guilt. "I'm sorry. I came to save you but you ended up saving me…"
Chopper waved his hooves. "No — we should thank YOU, Sky Knight!"
Sandy folded his arms. "Come on, Sky Knight. You're so serious about everything — you'll age faster. Relax a little."
He eyed the mount beside Gan Fall.
"Also… can that bird be used as barbecue? Ow—OW OW OW—!!"
Gan Fall's mount chomped down on Sandy's head while Chopper yelled.
"You bastard!! Don't you dare cook our savior!!"
"Stupid bird!! Let go!! I WON'T eat you, okay!? LET GO!!"
