"Why do you have to shout attack names like that?" Sandy muttered sourly.
Honestly, he could never come up with such dramatic move names.
Luffy suddenly grinned. "I get it! Sandy, you're jealous of Zoro!"
"Huh?" Sandy put a hand behind his ear like a megaphone. "What was that? Didn't hear you!"
Before anyone could continue bickering, blue lightning flashed on the high platform.
Enel had arrived.
He casually sat down, picked at his ear, and said arrogantly,
"Why are there still six people plus one? Looks like I'll have to handle this myself."
Gan Fall gripped his weapon and pointed it at him.
"Enel… the palace guards and the maids—you killed them all, didn't you?"
Enel chuckled. "Their duties were complete. They no longer needed to exist."
Gan Fall trembled. "Then my former guard team—"
"Don't worry," Enel said lightly. "They've all been dealt with too."
"What?!" Wiper roared.
Raki quickly grabbed him. "Wiper, don't! Enel is lightning—you can't—"
Enel watched her with amusement.
"That's right. I am lightning."
Crackling electricity danced across his finger for show.
"No matter how humans struggle, they cannot defeat lightning," Enel declared.
"Since ancient times, mortals have feared nature and called it God. All phenomena they cannot understand—they attribute to divine power. A disaster humanity cannot resist… that is me. I am the so-called God. Do you understand?"
"Oh!" Luffy brightened. "So he's an amazing God!"
Wiper suddenly shoved Raki aside, leapt into the air, aimed his bazooka at Enel, and fired.
The beam blast went straight through Enel's body.
Enel didn't even blink.
"Don't be so impatient," he said lazily, smirking. "Wait a moment. The game isn't over yet."
"Game?" Zoro asked.
"What game? Are we in it?" Luffy added.
"Of course," Enel replied. "Everyone here—even the animals—is a participant in my boring little game."
Sandy sighed. "Guys, have you noticed? His expression is exactly like that bastard Ace's—so damn annoying."
"Ace…" Luffy touched the Vivre Card tucked under his hat. "Haven't seen him in a long time. Hope he's doing okay…"
Zoro groaned. "Is now really the time for nostalgia?"
Luffy blinked, then panicked. "Right! We still have to play the game!"
Sandy bonked him on the head. "He means treating us like crickets fighting in a cage, idiot. Understand?"
Gan Fall and Wiper stepped forward.
Sandy called out, "Miss Raki! Watch the barbecue for me. We'll eat together later."
Enel laughed. "You sure are relaxed, Blue Sea boy. Welcome, passionate survivors. Since you made it this far, let me praise you… ya ha ha ha!"
Everyone stared silently at him.
"…It's just a joke," Enel muttered.
Gan Fall shouted, "Why?! Why would you do this? They served you faithfully for six years!"
"Ya ha ha ha…" Enel said, "Do you think Skypiea's existence makes sense? The sky is where God lives. Mortals—"
Gan Fall's eyes widened. "You… you want to destroy Skypiea!"
"That's right," Enel said cheerfully. "Mortals should live where they belong. A strange place like Skypiea should not exist."
"Bastard!!" Wiper roared and charged—
—but was instantly grabbed by the throat by Sandy.
Everyone froze.
"Why?!" Raki yelled in shock.
Sandy said calmly, "We're pirates. We couldn't care less about your stupid internal problems. Whoever pisses us off—I beat them.
And that bastard Enel treats us like bugs in a cage. The Straw Hat Pirates are very, very unhappy. So Enel… we'll take care of you."
"Ya ha ha ha…" Enel leaned back, amused. "If you can, then come."
Luffy and Zoro said together, "We have no problem with that."
Then Luffy added, "But I'm the one who's gonna beat him."
"Gum-Gum—"
BOINK.
Sandy blocked him with a chop to the head.
In the original story, Luffy beat Enel—but Skypiea almost got obliterated.
Sandy couldn't allow that.
Luffy got angry. "You bastard! Gum-Gum Pistol—!"
Zoro slapped his face in frustration. "Seriously?! Aren't we supposed to be fighting Enel? Why are you two fighting each other first?!"
Wiper still hadn't recovered.
How did Sandy subdue him so easily?
Sandy spoke seriously. "Luffy. Enough. Let me handle him."
The moment Luffy saw Sandy's expression, he understood.
"…Okay."
Enel smirked down at them.
"Actually, you could all come at once… though that would be a shame. I originally planned to bring the remaining five survivors to the endless land…"
