"Oh?" Nami held up pickled vegetables and asked, "Where did you buy this? It smells pretty good."
"Heheheh." Robin nodded. "It really is good, and so convenient."
Sanji immediately jumped in, "Miss Nami, Robin, I'll make this for you both from now on!"
Sandy looked at Sanji with disdain. These ingredients are all industrial products. What the hell can you even make?
And pickled vegetables—fine the first time, but eat it a few more times and you'd want to puke.
Still, Sandy said, "Keep an eye on the sausages, chicken legs, and braised eggs. That bastard Luffy—"
Before he finished, Chopper's ingredients were already snatched by Luffy.
Sandy slapped his forehead. "I said Luffy, this is just to fill our stomachs for now. I'll catch a big fish later—that's the real meal."
"Hey, Sandy," Zoro said, "give me a bottle of cola."
"I want one too."
"Me too!"
"Same here…"
"Ohhh! What is this stuff? It's so good!"
Luffy finished chugging, sighed in satisfaction, and sprinted back. "Sandy, give me another bottle, please! I wanna drink more!"
Sandy said helplessly, "Go away for now, I'm going to catch fish." He turned to Sanji. "Sanji, can you prepare these pickled vegetables?"
Sanji inspected them. This was a vegetable he had never seen before, but replied confidently, "Judging from the taste, I think I can."
Sandy sighed dramatically. "How about we make boiled fish later? That's the taste of my hometown. I haven't had it in ages… wuwuwu…"
Zoro kicked Sandy straight into the sea. "Go catch your damn fish. What's a man crying for?"
Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper chimed in together, "We're starving—hurry up and catch a fish!"
Sandy, splashing around in the sea, was furious. These bastards!!
It was pitch-black underwater, but Sandy had Observation Haki, didn't he?
By the time everyone finished eating, the sky was already bright.
Usopp lay on his back contentedly, staring up at the sky. "We really went to an incredible place…"
Chopper asked excitedly, "Will we go to God's Country again?"
Zoro snorted. "You'll go there after you die."
Usopp laughed. "You won't be going there, right, Zoro?"
"You bastard!" Zoro snapped. "What are you saying!"
Sandy rolled his eyes. "Are we going to sleep?"
"Sleep?" Luffy shouted, instantly energized. "A new adventure is waiting on the next island! Let's go!"
Usopp groaned. "Luffy, do we have to rush like this?"
Nami shook her head. "Don't let your guard down. I've been feeling something strange about the waves."
Sandy stood up. "There are some mischievous sea monkeys out there. Damn monkeys."
"Where?"
A moment later, a massive wave—thousands of meters wide—rose from the sea, stirred up by playful Sea Monkeys.
"Ahhh!!" Chopper jumped. "What is that!?"
Usopp panicked. "Nami, Nami! Hurry and think of something!"
Nami sighed. "It seems all we can do is run."
Sandy grinned. "Don't worry, everyone. Today I'll show you a new move I developed!"
"A new move?!" Luffy's eyes sparkled. "Show us!"
Sanji and Zoro watched with interest. Despite Sandy's questionable behavior at times, he was strong.
Sandy walked to the bow of the ship.
"Everyone take one step back. Another step. One more step…"
Everyone's expressions darkened. What the hell is this idiot doing now?
A moment later, a lightning laser formed in Sandy's hand.
If Kizaru were present, he'd curse Sandy for shameless imitation.
That's right—Sandy used the Rumble-Rumble Fruit to condense a lightning sword!
The Sea Monkeys kept playing, oblivious to their impending doom.
Sandy tested the sword's weight and was satisfied.
"One-Sword Style… Thunderous Flash!!!"
BOOOOOM!!!
For a second, the world lost all color.
A blinding flash exploded outward, followed by a deafening roar of thunder that shook the sea itself. Every creature nearby froze in terror.
No one expected Sandy to gather the power of thunder, form a sword, and cut the sea itself in one strike—so loud it made children cry for their mothers!
Waves hundreds of meters high were slashed apart and blown away, splitting open like a canyon carved in the ocean.
On the tiny Merry Go, the crew could only stare up at this monstrous sight, feeling utterly insignificant.
Luffy, Zoro, and the others were completely stunned.
The Sea Monkeys squeaked in terror, then fled at full speed.
On deck, Sandy himself was stunned. This was the first time he used the move.
It was just a slash—why the hell was it so loud?!
THUD!
CRACKLE!
Luffy, Zoro, and the others suddenly snapped and began beating Sandy up.
"You bastard! That scared me to death!"
"Stupid Thunder! Couldn't you make it a little quieter!?"
"Stinky Sandy, you owe me compensation for emotional damage! One million Belly! Actually, two million two hundred thousand Belly!!"
Sandy clutched his head. "Damn it, that slash was seriously abnormal… It felt like cutting tofu! How was I supposed to know it'd sound like the sky exploding!?"
"Stop hitting me! I get it, I get it!"
He sat back down, sulking. "I said, you guys… didn't I stop the waves? I—"
Chopper bit Sandy's arm. "You bastard! I haven't recovered from the fright! Don't ever use that move again!!"
Sandy scoffed. "You're just jealous of my ability. That idiot Luffy's Rubber Fruit can't do anything but eat— Ow! Stop hitting—!"
Before he could finish, they beat him up again.
