While Sanji was fighting Jabura, Zoro was facing off against Kaku.
After dozens of exchanges, Zoro pulled off the black bandana from his arm and tied it around his head.
Kaku raised a brow, "Does putting on a bandana make you stronger?"
Zoro half-crouched, holding two swords horizontally before his eyes.
"What do you think?"
He vanished in an instant, appearing below Kaku.
"Two-Sword Style: Ascending Tower!"
Kaku dodged. Zoro flew upward and continued the follow-up:
"Responding Ascending Tower!"
Another dodge.
"Sand Pattern!"
Again—missed.
Kaku smirked.
"Jumping creates blind spots, you know."
"Scythe Giraffe!"
Kaku swung his absurdly long neck like a whip.
Bang!
Zoro was smashed into a stone wall.
This guy… Zoro was speechless. Slash him lightly—no effect. Slash hard—he dodges. How do you even fight a giraffe like this?
"Iron Body: No Blind Spot."
Kaku shifted forms and counterattacked. Using his four legs, he unleashed a rainstorm of Storm Leg slashes upward. They struck the ceiling, then bounced down toward Zoro in mid-air.
With nowhere to dodge, Zoro took several hits.
When the attack ended—
"Nose Gun!"
Zoro crossed two swords to block, but the impact blasted him across the room.
He stood back up, annoyed.
"Tch."
Kaku grinned.
"What tenacity. Admirable."
Zoro glared back.
"I've been through hell and back, you giraffe old man."
He sheathed both swords and drew Wado Ichimonji.
"First…" Zoro said, "let me cut through your Iron Body."
Kaku chuckled.
"Can you?"
"Try me."
Zoro placed the blade in his right elbow crease.
"One-Sword Style Iai—Lion Song!"
Kaku unleashed:
"Storm Leg: Dragon Sever!"
They passed each other.
Kaku glanced back with a small laugh.
"If it's iron, it should be cut, right? Whether I use Iron Body or not depends on these old eyes."
"So that's how it is." Zoro exhaled. "You're not simple."
He inhaled deeply.
"One Gorilla… Two Gorilla… here I come. Three-Sword Style!"
Kaku blinked.
"Strength contest? Interesting. Nose Gun!"
Zoro leapt, muscles bulging like a bodybuilder.
"Two-Sword Style: Gorilla Slash!"
CLANG!
The impact sent Kaku flying.
Zoro scoffed.
"Didn't expect you'd be the one getting overpowered, did you? Don't act all high and mighty."
Kaku angrily climbed to his feet.
"You too. I haven't shown you a giraffe's true wildness."
"Hurry up and show it then."
Kaku dropped to all fours.
"Ultimate Nose Gun—Giraffe Cannon!"
Zoro dodged immediately.
"Damn, that neck stretches too far."
Zoro pointed his sword.
"Your long neck is gonna become your weakness."
"Not necessarily." Kaku twisted his entire body toward his own head's location.
"Storm Leg: Screw White Blade!"
Circular slashes spun wildly. Zoro blocked quickly.
Kaku leapt aside.
"The one full of openings… is you."
Zoro grumbled.
"What are you even supposed to be?"
Kaku ignored him.
"You can't dodge this! Giraffe Cannon!"
Zoro stared.
"…Isn't that just the same move again?"
"Three-Sword Style: Tornado!"
Zoro spun, aiming to cut the extended neck.
"Iron Body! Shave! Moonwalk!"
Kaku shot upward into the hole Zoro had previously cut. When he dropped back down, he held two swords.
CLANG!
His powerful downward strike was blocked.
Kaku leapt with his four limbs and swords, attacking relentlessly.
"With full control of my limbs and neck, I can use all four swords freely! This is Four-Sword Style! A giraffe's power fully unleashed!"
Zoro blocked and countered.
"I don't care how many swords you have, or how long your neck is—"
He parried another slash.
"None of that is enough to beat me."
"Stop bluffing!" Kaku snarled. "If you've got a reason, show it!"
"Three-Sword Style—Leopard!"
Zoro struck a beast-like stance.
"Koto—Play!"
Kaku used Paper Arts and swayed aside.
"Hehe—"
THUD.
He was still cut.
Zoro turned calmly.
"Surprised? What, no one's ever cut you before?"
Kaku wiped the blood.
"Hmph. So you're not all talk. But this is where you die. Storm Leg: Shuriken!"
Hundreds of slashes flew toward Zoro. As he blocked, Kaku dashed in—
"Giraffe Cannon—Bamboo Whip Forest!"
Dozens of hits rained on Zoro's body.
Zoro panted as Kaku prepared his next attack.
"The unending volley of four swords—prepare to die! Reverse Scale!"
Zoro stabbed two swords into the floor to brace.
Kaku rushed him again.
"Just defending hurts, doesn't it? Pirates are scum! Opposing the World Government is a foolish crime! Acting recklessly… just like that woman!"
Zoro's head snapped up.
Robin.
The insult made fury erupt from within him. A dark, swirling aura burst from his feet.
Kaku froze mid-attack, eyes widening. For an instant, he saw Zoro as a three-faced, six-armed demon god.
Zoro pointed one sword forward.
"You've been running your mouth too much, kid."
Kaku growled.
"Then I'll cut you with the strongest Storm Leg that cleaves towers—Circular Sever!"
Zoro's aura surged.
"Demonic Aura—Nine-Sword Style… Asura!"
A phantom with three heads and six arms appeared behind him, eerie and overwhelming.
Kaku trembled at the sight, but still unleashed his finishing move.
CLANG!
Zoro deflected it.
He leapt.
"Enduring all hardship—this is the path of Asura. Asura—One Mist Silver!!"
THUD.
Kaku took the full force of the attack. His form reverted, and he collapsed.
Zoro won.
