Chapter 681 - Chapter 681: Baby Luke!

Chapter 681: Baby Luke!

The Grand Plan and Luke's New Body

The Old Hag's initial plan was to have the fleshy egg devour over a dozen Death Gods, using their power to bypass the growth stage and reach maturity. Unfortunately, due to various accidents and Luke's interference, the plan completely failed, and the egg suffered a fatal injury.

She had no choice but to sacrifice herself to enable the birth of the still-incomplete infant.

In a sense, the grotesque infant was a premature birth, congenitally underdeveloped, and had half of its body essence stolen by Luke. Even so, it was still terrifyingly powerful, able to fight on equal terms with the Mother Entity, which was dozens of times its size.

Luke had fully witnessed its capabilities. It was bombarded by lightning for half an hour, its body was shattered, yet it could still get up and run as if nothing happened.

This recovery and adaptability were awe-inspiring. If it were allowed to devour the Mother Entity, God knows what it would become. Don't forget, it carried the genetic factors of hundreds of gods within its body.

If those genetic factors awakened, it would become a cosmic-level, or even multiverse-level, terrifying entity.

Diana saw the idea forming in Luke's mind and couldn't help but say,

"You're not actually thinking of..."

Luke sighed helplessly. "It's the only way."

The expressions of the three immediately became strange. Diana even covered her mouth, fighting back a smile. Luke, as a baby... the thought alone was bizarre.

Luke said sternly, "Remember, what happens today absolutely must not be spread around."

With that, he turned and flew downward.

The Power of the Newborn God

Luke's soul merged with the grotesque infant's body on the ground. In an instant, a strange sensation washed over him. Perhaps due to their "simultaneous birth," the body had almost no rejection. His soul perfectly integrated with the sensory system within. In this moment, the world seemed to transform into a different sight.

He heard sounds he had never perceived before and saw changes hidden in minute details. The sky was no longer gray; it exhibited nine different hues, like an ever-shifting oil painting.

And energy—omnipresent energy factors—hovered around him. With a wave of his hand, they turned into storms, thunder, flames, frost, darkness, the underworld, and more.

The power of this body was simply unbelievable.

However, he also detected the body's flaws. Perhaps because it was premature, the bloodline factors were extremely unstable, and its behavior was affected, leading to strange actions out of nowhere.

Luke closed his eyes, carefully sensing the changes in the body.

There were a total of 23 explicit superpowers. In addition, there were hidden powers. If fully developed, there would be at least over a hundred different abilities.

What method did the Old Hag use to assemble so many divine powers?

Incredible! Truly incredible!

Although the creature was disgusting to look at and its actions were despicable, Luke had to admit its power was remarkable.

After familiarizing himself with the body's various characteristics, Luke stepped forward. Light flashed, and he suddenly appeared in front of Diana. The trio looked on in shock.

"Luke, you..."

"Spatial movement. One of this body's abilities."

He extended his chubby finger and gently tapped the space in front of him. A milky-white spatial barrier enveloped their bodies. After a brief sensation of weightlessness and dizziness, the group found themselves several kilometers away.

"Group teleportation and a spatial barrier."

Luke clenched his chubby fist. "I think I understand what Hanyue meant."

"She wasn't wrong. This body does have the power to take us back to Earth."

Clark's expression tightened. "Are you saying..."

Luke shook his head slightly.

"I can't be certain yet. I need to make further observations."

Even so, the three smiled. They had traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometers to the God-Demon Battlefield precisely to go home.

They had given up hope, but now it was reignited.

It would be wonderful to go home.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's take them down and go home!" Diana insisted, struggling to stand up, drawing her long sword and gripping her shield.

Luke shook his head. He spread his fingers, and countless visible spatial barriers appeared in the air, wrapping tightly around her.

"You rest. We're enough for this fight."

With that, he flew upward. In mid-air, his body rapidly inflated, becoming a giant baby over a hundred meters tall. Green flames poured out from within, enveloping his skin and forming an emerald-green armor. Six extra arms grew from his sides, each wielding a weapon: a sword, a spear, a mace, a bow, and an arrow. Over a hundred tentacles danced wildly in the air, stirring up the winds and changing the color of the sky.

The Mother Entity and the hostile twin, who were still fighting, stopped, watching him with suspicion.

Luke drew his long bow. Simultaneously, over a hundred tentacles gathered in front of him, light waves appearing at their tips: fire, frost, storm, thunder, darkness, death, light, space. Various forms of energy merged in a bizarre way, forming a single arrow shimmering with seven colors.

"Go!"

The bowstring snapped. A seven-colored column of light appeared in the sky, flying from below, piercing the Mother Entity's head, and vanishing into the heavens above.

It was a display of ultimate beauty and ultimate destruction.

The strike left a circular hole several hundred meters wide in the Mother Entity. The residual energy continued to destroy its body. The Mother Entity let out an earth-shattering shriek, violently lashing out at Luke with its skeletal tentacles.

Spatial distortion!

Luke vanished, reappearing directly in front of the hostile twin, who immediately turned and fled in terror.

"Stop!"

Luke barked coldly. "We cooperate. We take down the Mother Entity."

The grotesque infant looked utterly suspicious, refusing to believe him.

Luke couldn't be bothered to explain. His body flashed, and he reappeared behind the Mother Entity. He pressed his fingers together, and a white, several-hundred-meter-long blade of light erupted from his fingertips.

"Cleave!"

With a single downward cut, the space seemed to be sliced open, revealing black cracks. Everything in the path of the blade was split in two. At the same time, dozens of skeletal tentacles lashed out from all directions.

Luke was merciless. As he waved his hand, the tentacles were instantly severed.

Compared to the hostile twin, Luke's control over the body was far superior. Various abilities came effortlessly to him, all of them powers of destruction. Whether it was spatial ability, the pale-pupiled woman's white blade-light, or Hanyue's song, he could manifest any ability he desired.

The tide of battle quickly shifted.

Seeing the favorable situation, the giant infant joined the fray, attacking the Mother Entity alongside Luke.

The two launched a frenzied, concerted attack from front and back.

The sky was painted with colorful strokes of energy, and the overflowing shockwaves whipped up gigantic tornadoes, which then dissolved into nothingness in the earth-shattering explosions.

Clark and J'onn watched in awe, speechless. They wanted to help but were powerless to do so.

Their bodies were too small. Against creatures over a thousand times their size, mere strength was insufficient, short of punching through the void—an impossible feat.

Frustrated, the two could only return to Diana's side, watching the battle nervously.
