Chapter 682: Woman, Who Are You?

The Destruction and the Mother's Retreat

What is world-destroying?

The battle unfolding perfectly defined the term: the sky was cracked by energy, the earth shattered by shockwaves, and a blazing white light column traveled dozens of kilometers, blasting the distant horizon.

Boom!

An aurora appeared beyond the horizon. Only after a long delay did the roar of the wind and the groan of the earth follow.

The sky shook, the ground churned, and the once-peaceful Plain of White Bones was ravaged beyond recognition, littered with smoking craters.

No wonder the War of the Gods created a barren, thousand-mile wasteland; their destructive power is truly too immense.

Clark, J'onn, and Diana dared not remain there and flew to a safe distance, escaping the range of the energy blasts.

The colossal battle continued.

Facing the combined assault of Luke and the hostile twin, the Mother Entity displayed an utterly desperate ferocity. While enduring the constant disintegration of its body, it seized every opportunity to counterattack.

It seemed to possess endless energy; a casual strike was a light column piercing heaven and earth.

It did not possess diverse superpowers, but it held an absolute, overwhelming dominance in the core domains of life, spirit, soul, and pure energy.

Even Luke did not dare to attack head-on, relying on his spatial abilities to constantly maneuver, looking for chances to inflict damage. The hostile twin mimicked him perfectly, showing a keen talent for learning. Whatever Luke did, it replicated, copying every ability and attack style.

The two were like lions surrounding an elephant, constantly draining their opponent's vitality through nimble movement and sharp attacks.

As time passed, the Mother Entity's injuries grew more severe, and its aura began to weaken. Among the three types of attacks, Dom's disintegration divine power was the most devastating. That power never ceased, causing continuous trouble. No matter how many times the Mother Entity recovered, a new wound would always appear.

It was tormented mercilessly while having to contend with the "vermin" constantly harassing it.

The tide of the battle slowly turned. As the hostile twin grew accustomed to its body, its attacks became more violent. It even joined Luke to create a spatial vortex, obliterating nearly a fifth of the Mother Entity's body.

This blow became the turning point.

The Mother Entity abandoned all illusions. It realized that if this continued, it would likely become food for the two "vermin." To survive, a sacrifice had to be made.

Hum!

A profound sound resonated in the sky. Substantialized psychic energy poured out like a tidal wave. Luke and the hostile twin bore the brunt, feeling like small boats in a stormy sea of spiritual impact.

The shock originated from the mind, inflicting tremendous damage on their bodies and souls.

The two were forced to stop and flash-teleport out of the range of the psychic impact.

The Mother Entity let out a long howl. Starting from its head, its massive body slowly turned into bone, which then shattered into countless dust particles under Dom's relentless disintegration power.

Imperceptibly, a white, smoky "rain" began to fall. The shattered bone fragments fluttered like snowflakes, rising and falling with the wind, resembling a brilliant fireworks display.

Luke's face darkened, a terrible premonition rising within him.

The Transformation and the Temptation

After dozens of seconds, the sky-blotting skeletal framework of flesh and blood vanished, leaving only bone dust everywhere and a meat sphere over two meters in diameter.

A powerful life wave radiated from the meat sphere. Its heartbeat was clearly audible even a kilometer away.

"Bad!"

Luke's face changed drastically. He drew his bow and nocked an arrow. The emerald-green arrow pointed straight at the meat sphere.

Clang!

A smooth, fair hand stretched out from the meat sphere, blocking the unstoppable arrow.

The meat sphere cracked open, and a completely naked woman stepped out. She had exquisite features, vibrant, fair skin, and a body whose divisions seemed carefully designed by a scientist. Every part was perfectly proportioned; together, they formed a flawless work of art.

The only irregularity was her head: she had no hair. Instead, she had over a hundred writhing tentacles, like the Medusa of ancient Greek myth.

The moment Luke saw her, a fierce desire surged in his heart—a strong urge to hold her, possess her, violate her, and consume her entire being. This desire was so intense it felt like an innate instinct.

"Damn it, what's going on? Wasn't it a mother and child?"

Luke muttered a chant, forcibly suppressing the restlessness in his body. The hostile twin, however, could not control itself. Its huge body began to shrink.

Its eyes lost all color, staring straight ahead at the woman.

Something was very wrong.

Luke frowned deeply. When he saw the hostile twin begin to move closer to the woman, he couldn't hold back. He raised his hand, and fire dragons surged out, blasting the twin away.

The attack jolted the twin back to consciousness. Recalling the events that led up to this, it showed a complex expression: fear, terror, and an inexplicable sense of attachment.

The woman turned and looked at Luke coldly.

"Human, leave my child's body."

Luke shrugged. "Apologies, this is my body."

"Do you want to be my son too?"

Luke lowered his eyelids and said expressionlessly, "You better retract that statement, or you will die a very painful death."

"Oh? Is that so?"

The woman chuckled, placing her arms behind her back in a highly alluring pose.

"Do you find me beautiful? Do you feel sensual, and do you want to hold me and ravage me fiercely?"

"I apologize, monsters don't arouse my interest. I only have thoughts for human women."

"Then what about your little friend? He seems to have strong opinions."

She let out a pleasant, bell-like laugh. Her beauty seemed to have become a kind of rule that inadvertently captivated souls.

Luke forcibly restrained his agitated body and asked in an extremely low voice,

"Which god did you steal this power from?"

"No, you're mistaken. It's an instinct that originates from the depths of my bloodline. Of course, the divine power of Aphrodite and Parvati also played a role. This body of mine was created as a perfect specimen, using hundreds of goddesses as a reference, merging all the advantages of different female races to satisfy every male fantasy. I thought you would be completely bewitched, but it seems I was wrong!"

Luke said coldly, "You talk too much."

The woman sighed.

"I have been thinking about a question: Who am I? Can you give me the answer?"

"You should ask Mary that question."

"Who is Mary?"

"Jesus's mother."

The woman: "..."

"You are mocking me."

"What else? Did you expect me to sleep with you?"

Luke raised his hand and pressed down. A massive energy-composed palm descended from the sky, striking the woman hard. She was completely unharmed; instead, the giant palm dissolved into nothingness.

"Such powerful energy manipulation. Has it reached this level?"

Luke muttered, his shock apparent. He had seen clearly: as the giant palm descended, one of the woman's tentacles moved. A faint light shot from its tip, striking the weak point of the energy palm and instantly shattering it.

"Human, I'll give you one last chance. Tell me, who am I?"
