Rin stepped into the bustling dining hall, freshly scrubbed from the shower with a lightness in his step. Shina beamed at him, "Finally! After all the suffering we went through, that shower felt like the ultimate reward!" Laughter erupted around the table, the camaraderie palpable. Daniel chimed in, adjusting his clothes with a grimace, "True, but these threads are a little too itchy for my liking." Rin chuckled lightly, "I agree, but it's not too terrible."
He glanced down at his own black shirt and pants, trying to brush off the discomfort. Kito, sitting quietly, broke into the conversation, "I'm thinking about leaving town." A surprised Sam exclaimed, "What? Why would you do that?" Kito looked down, a soft smile touching his lips, "I just don't feel at home here. I want to shed this identity of Kito and become someone new." Rin studied Kito's expression, intrigued. "Where do you plan to go?" With a gentle smile, Kito shrugged, "I don't know.
Wherever fate takes me, I guess." Yuri leaned forward, concern knitting her brow, "Why don't we talk this through?" Alex and Yuri joined forces, their voices filled with encouragement. "If something is bothering you, just share it with us." Kito's smile widened, masking the uncertainty within. "No, it's not like that... really, there's nothing to worry about."
As dawn broke the next day, Rin stepped outside, greeted by the crisp chill in the air and the invigorating scent of rain. The streets were alive with the joyous laughter of children playing, their carefree spirits brightening the morning.
It all felt almost surreal. Spotting Ronan in the distance, deep in conversation with someone, Rin approached, curiosity piqued. "Is everything okay?" he asked, concern lacing his voice. Ronan turned with a reassuring smile. "Everything's just fine, Rin, right?" Rin nodded, relief washing over him. "Actually, we could use some help."
With his ever-present grin, Ronan replied, "Of course! Just tell me what you need." Rin took a deep breath, explaining their escape from the nation and their predicament of being unable to access their status bar due to a lack of technology.
Ronan listened attentively. "No worries at all," he said with a nod. "We still have the old system in place — I can use the rings to connect to your soul. I'll make sure to get that sorted for you." With that, they said their goodbyes, each feeling a little lighter as they parted ways, hope flickering in the air between them.
Rin went into a restaurant everyone was eating happily. Rin said the menu and all of it was some fancy names. After looking around a little, he ordered something that looked good, and he took a bite. He sprayed the food out instantly. It was so bad that Rin was gulping water just to wash the taste from his mouth.
Rin went to two or more restaurants to check it just there, but every restaurant was the same. Rin was so down as he vomited out everything, and now he is starving.
He bought some vegetables and meat from the market and went home. As he started cooking, a yanning sound was heard. It was Yuri who was out of bed.
Yuri smiled, "Enjoying yourself."
Rin sighed, "I wish."
Yuri spoke, "You cooking?"
Rin nodded.
Yuri smiled as she proudly announced, "I cook well."
Rin smiled, "Let's cook together."
Yuri was cooking with Rin, playing as they cooked together.
Everyone woke up and was surprised by the number of dishes that were cooked."
Alex spoke, "Yuri, your cooking is amazing."
Rin coughed and looked at Alex.
Daniel smiled, "Rin is getting competition."
As they laughed, they enjoyed the warm meal.
