The grand banquet hall of Ryugu Palace was a masterpiece of deep-sea architecture, adorned with shimmering pearls, massive coral pillars, and brilliant golden chandeliers. But tonight, the room's elegance was completely overshadowed by the boisterous, unrelenting chaos of the Straw Hat Syndicate.
King Neptune had spared no expense. Long, sprawling tables were piled high with the finest delicacies the ocean had to offer. Mountains of roasted meat, massive platters of seasoned kelp pasta, exotic deep-sea fruits, and towering cakes filled every available inch of space.
At the center table, Monkey D. Luffy and Jewelry Bonney were locked in a terrifying battle of gluttony.
"More meat!" Luffy roared, inhaling an entire roasted boar in a single bite, his rubber stomach expanding into a perfect sphere before instantly digesting it.
"I'm beating you, Straw Hat!" Bonney cheered, dual-wielding massive turkey legs and shoving them into her mouth. "Bring more pizza! And cake! I want everything!"
Sanji was not sitting at the table. The blonde cook was currently floating through the banquet hall in a state of absolute, unadulterated euphoria. Beautiful mermaid servants were gliding around the room, carrying trays of food and pouring wine.
Sanji spun gracefully from mermaid to mermaid, his visible eye shaped like a giant, pulsing heart.
"Ah! Such divine grace!" Sanji swooned, taking a tray from a blushing mermaid with a green tail. "Please, allow me! A goddess of the sea should not burden her delicate hands with labor! I shall serve you!"
"He's completely lost his mind," Nami sighed, sitting comfortably at the main table and taking a sip of high-end white wine. "But at least he's happy."
"It's a wonderful party," Vivi smiled, feeding a piece of fruit to Caroo. The giant duck quacked happily, wearing a small, festive party hat over his aviator goggles.
On the far side of the hall, the giants had commandeered their own section. Dory, Brogy, Oimo, and Kashii were engaged in a fierce, booming drinking contest with Roronoa Zoro.
"Gebababa! Another barrel!" Dory laughed, slamming his empty tankard onto the table.
"Come on, Zoro your lagging behind!" Brogy cheered, wiping foam from his thick beard.
Zoro smirked, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "I'm just getting started. Keep 'em coming."
Sitting a short distance away, looking mesmerized by the entire experience, was Princess Shirahoshi.
She stood up from her chair, wobbling slightly in her white sandals, and took a few tentative steps across the polished floor.
"It is still so strange," Shirahoshi giggled, a bright, genuine smile on her face as she looked down at her feet. "To walk without floating... to feel the floor... it is wonderful!"
"You're doing great, Princess!" Chopper cheered, trotting beside her in his small Brain Point form, holding a stick of cotton candy.
"Indeed," Jinbe rumbled, standing nearby with a cup of sake. The Warlord watched the young princess walk freely, the heavy burden of the past ten years finally lifting from his broad shoulders. "It is a sight I thought I would never see. To walk openly, without fear of the sky... it is a blessing."
"And it's all thanks to you guys!" Camie the mermaid swam over, her green hair bouncing as she smiled at the crew. Pappag, the starfish, sat on her shoulder, wearing a stylish tuxedo jacket.
"You guys are the real deal," Pappag nodded, taking a sip from a tiny, starfish-sized glass of wine. "Taking down Hody and Decken in one hour? You saved the whole island, man. Mad respect."
"It was a team effort," Ben said, walking into the main gathering area. He wore a crisp, dark, unbuttoned shirt and trousers, holding a glass of bourbon. Nico Robin walked gracefully beside him, her blue eyes scanning the lively party with a serene smile.
"Papa! Look at the desserts!" Merry called out, running past with Sunny. Both android children had their hands full of chocolate éclairs and sea-salt taffy.
"Pace yourselves, you two," Ben chuckled.
As the feast began to wind down and the plates were cleared by the royal staff, Brook stood up from his seat. The towering skeleton dusted off his black suit and adjusted his top hat. He tapped his cane sword against the floor, drawing the attention of the room.
"Yohohoho!" Brook laughed, his voice echoing through the grand hall. "A feast of this magnitude, shared among newfound friends and victorious warriors... it is a tragedy if it is not accompanied by music! The soul must dance!"
"Yeah! Music!" Luffy cheered, swallowing a final piece of meat. "Play a song, Brook!"
"I would be honored, Captain," Brook bowed deeply. He looked around the room. "But a solo performance lacks the necessary energy for a royal celebration. Might I request some accompaniment?"
"Say less, Uncle Brook!" Merry shouted, tossing her half-eaten éclair aside.
"We are ready to jam!" Sunny agreed, cracking his knuckles.
Franky stood up, flexing his massive, metallic arms. "You want a beat? The Iron General will give you a SUUUUPER beat!"
"QUACK!" Caroo flapped his wings, running over to join the impromptu band.
Ben smiled, setting his glass down on a table. "If we're putting on a show, we should do it right."
Ben raised his right hand, his eyes glowing with the golden light of the Momo Yaoyorozu quirk combined with his spatial magic. He snapped his fingers.
SNAP.
The grand banquet hall instantly transformed.
The bright, ambient lights of the chandeliers dimmed, casting the room into a cool, atmospheric twilight. High above the center of the hall, a massive, sparkling disco ball materialized out of thin air, catching a sudden beam of light and scattering thousands of glittering, moving stars across the walls and floor.
Simultaneously, a sleek, floating stage composed of translucent, glowing glass hovered a few feet off the ground at the far end of the room.
But Ben didn't stop at the stage. A wave of magic washed over Brook and his newly formed bandmates. Their casual clothes instantly dissolved, replaced by flashy, glittering performance attire.
Brook wore a sharp, sequined silver suit that caught the light brilliantly. Franky sat behind a massive, conjured drum kit wearing a shimmering gold vest over his speedo. Merry and Sunny manned the synthesizers and keyboards in matching, glittering blue and pink pop-star outfits, complete with tiny fedoras. Caroo stood proudly beside a set of bongos, wearing a sequined red jacket and a pair of starry sunglasses over his beak.
"SUUUUGEEEEEE!" The entire Straw Hat crew and the royal family gasped in unison.
"Spotlights," Ben commanded softly.
Three sharp, brilliant beams of light snapped on, illuminating the floating stage perfectly.
Brook stood at the center microphone, holding a beautifully crafted electric bass guitar. He looked out at the awe-struck crowd.
"Let us make this a night to remember!" Brook declared. "One, two, three, four!"
Franky slammed the drums, laying down a crisp, incredibly tight, funky beat. Merry and Sunny hit the synthesizers, bringing a smooth, infectious 80s disco groove to the room, while Caroo kept perfect rhythm on the bongos.
Brook began to pluck the bass, the upbeat, irresistible melody instantly filling the hall and forcing everyone's feet to start tapping.
Brook leaned into the microphone, his soulful voice ringing out clearly.
[Treasure by Bruno Mars]
"Give me your, give me your, give me your attention, baby!"
"I gotta tell you a little somethin' about yourself!"
Luffy immediately jumped up from his chair, grabbing Bonney by the hand. The two gluttons hit the dance floor, executing a chaotic, highly energetic, bouncing freestyle dance in the center of the room.
"You're wonderful, flawless, ooh, you're a sexy lady!"
"But you walk around here like you wanna be someone else!"
Brook spun on his bony heel, striking a dynamic pose as he slapped the bass strings.
"Ooh, I know that you don't know it, but you're fine, so fine (fine, so fine)!"
"Oh, girl, I'm gonna show you when you're mine, oh mine (mine, oh mine)!"
The music swelled, the funky bassline carrying the energy of the room higher. Brook looked out at the crowd, pointing out toward the audience.
"Treasure, that is what you are!"
On the word 'Treasure', Brook leaped directly off the floating stage. He soared gracefully through the air, landing perfectly in front of a beautiful mermaid who had been serving drinks.
"Honey, you're my golden star!"
Brook tipped his top hat to her, extending a bony hand. The mermaid blushed deeply, letting out a bright, melodic laugh as she took his hand. Brook smoothly spun her into a flawless, upbeat dance, twirling her across the polished floor.
"You know you can make my wish come true..."
"If you let me treasure you..."
"If you let me treasure you..."
The room absolutely exploded into movement.
"Come on, Scaredy-Cat!" Luffy yelled, running over to Princess Shirahoshi. He grabbed her hand and pulled her right into the middle of the dance floor.
Shirahoshi stumbled slightly on her new legs, but Luffy caught her, spinning her around with a wide, infectious grin. Shirahoshi laughed, a beautiful, carefree sound, her pink dress swirling as she danced freely for the first time in her life.
"Pretty girl, pretty girl, pretty girl, you should be smiling..."
"A girl like you should never look so blind..."
Princes Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi didn't hold back. The three royal brothers walked onto the floor, gracefully asking Camie and the nearby mermaids to dance. Even King Neptune, sitting on his massive throne, found himself smiling widely, his large head bobbing and his body swaying gently to the infectious beat of the song.
"You're everything I see in my dreams..."
"I wouldn't say that to you if it wasn't true..."
Usopp and Chopper took the center stage near Luffy, performing a highly synchronized, comedic popping-and-locking routine that ended with them pointing finger-guns at each other. Jinbe, standing near the bar, chuckled warmly and clapped his massive blue hands to the rhythm. Pappag the starfish was attempting a headspin near Sanji's feet.
"Ooh, I know that you don't know it, but you're fine, so fine (fine, so fine)!"
"Oh, girl, I'm gonna show you when you're mine, oh mine (mine, oh mine)!"
Sanji was in absolute paradise. He smoothly glided between dance partners, twirling Nami, then Vivi, then Bonney, executing flawless salsa steps without missing a single beat.
"Treasure, that is what you are!"
"Honey, you're my golden star!"
"You know you can make my wish come true..."
"If you let me treasure you..."
"If you let me treasure you..."
Ben watched the chaos from the edge of the room. He turned to Robin, who was standing beside him, an amused smile on her face.
"Want to dance," Robin noted, her blue eyes locking onto his.
"I was just waiting for you to say something," Ben said smoothly.
He reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her firmly but gently into the dim, starlit edge of the dance floor.
"You are my treasure, you are my treasure..."
"You are my treasure, yeah, you, you, you, you are..."
Robin chuckled softly, stepping smoothly into his lead. They didn't do the wild, bouncing dances of the rest of the crew. Ben pulled her close, stepping in time with the heavy bassline.
"You are my treasure, you are my treasure..."
"You are my treasure, yeah, you, you, you, you are..."
He spun her out, letting her spin back in until her back was pressed flush against his chest. Robin leaned into his hold, letting the music and the rhythm take over as they swayed together under the light of the disco ball, rubbing their bodies close in a smooth, intimate dance. Ben's hand rested securely on her hip, guiding her flawlessly through the crowd.
"Treasure, that is what you are!"
"Honey, you're my golden star!"
Dory, Brogy, Oimo, and Kashii joined hands, forming a large circle and doing a booming, rhythmic stomp-dance that vibrated the floorboards, laughing loudly as they celebrated their freedom. Zoro sat at his table, chugging his ale, but even the demonic swordsman was tapping his foot against the marble floor.
"You know you can make my wish come true..."
"If you let me treasure you..."
"If you let me treasure you..."
The song reached its triumphant, energetic conclusion. Franky smashed the cymbals, Merry ran her fingers down the keys, and Brook struck a magnificent final pose, holding his hat high in the air as Sunny hit a final synth chord.
The banquet hall erupted into deafening applause and cheers.
Luffy was panting, laughing as he high-fived Shirahoshi. Sanji collapsed into a chair, completely out of breath but smiling dreamily. Ben spun Robin one last time, catching her in a slight dip, both of them sharing a quiet, knowing laugh before rejoining the group.
It was a night of joy. The shadows of the past had been banished, replaced by the glittering lights of the present.
The Next Day - Gyoncorde Plaza
The atmosphere in Fish-Man Island the following morning was entirely different from the joyous banquet.
The massive, open expanse of Gyoncorde Plaza was packed with thousands of citizens—fish-men, mermaids, and humans alike. The air was tense, heavy with anticipation.
In the center of the plaza, a large, elevated stone platform had been constructed.
Standing on the platform, bound in heavy iron chains, were the leaders of the New Fish-Man Pirates. Hody Jones, Dosun, Zeo, Daruma, and Ikaros Much knelt on the stone, looking battered, defeated, and stripped of their former arrogance.
Kneeling beside them, also in heavy chains, was Vander Decken IX. The captain of the Flying Pirates looked pale and terrified, completely powerless since Ben had permanently severed the Mato Mato no Mi from him.
King Neptune stood at the front of the platform, his golden trident resting by his side. Princes Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi stood fiercely behind him.
The Straw Hat Pirates stood to the side of the plaza, watching the proceedings.
"Citizens of the Ryugu Kingdom," King Neptune's deep, commanding voice resonated across the massive crowd, amplified by a visual Den Den Mushi broadcast. "Today, we bring the shadows of our past into the light."
The crowd murmured, watching the captive extremists.
"For ten years, my daughter, Princess Shirahoshi, was forced to live in the Hard-Shell Tower, tormented by the relentless, cowardly attacks of Vander Decken," Neptune declared, gesturing to the trembling bullhead shark fish-man. "Thanks to the intervention of the Straw Hat Pirates, Decken's cursed powers have been permanently removed. He can no longer harm anyone. He will face justice in our deepest prisons."
A wave of relief and cheers washed over the crowd. The terror that had haunted their beloved princess was finally over.
But Neptune raised his hand, silencing the cheers. His face turned grim.
"But that is not the darkest truth we reveal today," Neptune said, his voice dropping into a heavy, sorrowful rumble. "Ten years ago... our beloved Queen Otohime was assassinated in this very plaza. We were led to believe that a human was responsible. It fueled our anger. It fueled our isolation."
Neptune turned his gaze toward Hody Jones. The Great White Shark fish-man didn't look up. He stared at the stone floor, his spirit utterly broken.
"That was a lie," Neptune stated firmly.
The crowd gasped.
"The man who pulled the trigger," Neptune pointed his trident directly at Hody, "the man who paid a human to take the fall, and the man who orchestrated the murder of Queen Otohime... was Hody Jones."
Deafening silence gripped Gyoncorde Plaza.
Thousands of fish-men stared at the former soldier of the Neptune Army. The man who had preached fish-man supremacy. The man who claimed to carry the will of Arlong.
"He killed her," Neptune's voice echoed with profound sadness, "not for justice, but out of baseless spite. He wanted to ensure that the hatred between our races never died. He manipulated you all to serve his own blind, empty hatred."
A single voice broke the silence from the crowd.
"Traitor!"
The shout was followed by another. And another.
"He killed the Queen!"
"He lied to us!"
"Monster!"
The fury of the citizens was palpable. The racial tension, the lingering anti-human sentiment that had plagued the island for a decade, was instantly redirected and dissolved. The realization that their own kind had sabotaged their future shattered Hody's movement completely.
"Take them away," Neptune ordered coldly.
The Royal Guards hauled Hody, his officers, and Decken to their feet, dragging the disgraced criminals away toward the kingdom's darkest cells, followed by the angry shouts of the betrayed public.
Neptune looked out at his people. "The cycle of empty hatred ends today. We will honor Queen Otohime's true dream. We will look toward the sun, not as victims, but as equals."
The Days Following
With the truth revealed and the threats neutralized, a sense of peace settled over Fish-Man Island.
The Straw Hat Pirates spent the next several days enjoying the underwater paradise to its fullest. Without the looming threat of Vander Decken, Princess Shirahoshi was finally free to experience her own kingdom.
She walked through the bustling shopping districts of Coral Hill, marveling at the sights and sounds. Luffy, Chopper, Merry, Sunny and Usopp acted as her chaotic tour guides, dragging her to every candy stall, toy shop, and street performer they could find. Shirahoshi laughed continuously, her timid nature replaced by a bright, infectious joy.
Nami spent hours with Camie and Pappag, negotiating completely unfair discounts on the latest Criminal brand fashion lines, returning to the ship with mountains of designer clothes.
Zoro and the Giants found a quiet, secluded tavern near the edge of the bubble, drinking exorbitant amounts of ale and trading war stories with the local fish-men, who now looked at the humans with respect rather than suspicion.
Sanji, completely in his element, spent his days in the mermaid coves. However, remembering his near-fatal experiences, he strictly maintained a safe distance, content to merely cook exquisite meals for the beautiful women on the beach while respectfully admiring them from afar.
Robin explored the ancient ruins on the outskirts of the island, uncovering forgotten histories with Ben by her side. They walked through the sunlit coral forests, enjoying the quiet companionship and the lack of running.
Franky, meanwhile, had set up shop near the harbor. Den, the merman shipwright and brother of Tom, proved to be an invaluable resource. The two engineers spent their days geeking out over the Thousand Sunny's blueprints, sharing coating techniques and upgrading the ship's submersibles.
The days blurred into a montage of laughter, exploration, and absolute freedom. They swam in the crystal-clear waters, rode the Yagara Bulls through the intricate canal systems, and threw smaller, intimate barbecues on the deck of the Sunny every single night.
For the first time in a very long time, there were no Admirals chasing them. There were no Warlords plotting their demise. There was just a crew of friends, a beautiful island, and the endless possibilities of the sea ahead.
