"Brother, the journey to the Wall was productive." Suddenly, Daenerys spoke with a mysterious smile. Her eyes brighter than ever, she looked at her older brother with a provocative and presumptuous gaze.
Cadmus, beside her, also smiled; Daenerys really couldn't hide good news. The girl simply left everyone around curious with her words.
Rhaegar looked at Daenerys with curiosity and to his surprised eyes, a servant approached and knelt in front of his table. The woman had a red cushion in her hands and under the cushion, a sheathed sword could be seen. Although he found the sword's hilt familiar, he didn't pay much attention.
The king looked confused at Daenerys and didn't understand what was happening, the same could be said for the lords around. Everyone stopped what they were doing and focused on the main table.
Daenerys stood up and feigned a fake cough. She looked at everyone present and spoke with a proud tone. "My future husband took me on a trip to the Wall, where a Child of the Forest, named Leaf, gifted me a sword."
Hearing Daenerys's words, everyone's eyes widened in shock. They looked at each other and wondered if they had really heard what the princess had just said. Completely ignoring the sword, everyone only paid attention to the mention of these legendary beings.
Rhaegar looked surprised at Daenerys and Cadmus, then at the kneeling servant, who still held the cushion with the sheathed sword. Suddenly, paying more attention to the sword's hilt, guard, and pommel, the king's movements abruptly stopped.
The king swallowed hard and stood up from his chair; he quickly reached the servant and, without paying attention to the woman, took the sword. Holding its hilt, he unsheathed the sword; the sharp, ringing sound came from the sword as it was drawn.
The dull, metallic sheen characteristic of Valyrian Steel gleamed under the candlelight around, drawing everyone's attention.
If there were famous swords on the continent of Westeros, there were four that people truly remembered.
Blackfyre, Dark Sister, Dawn, and Ice.
Before such a famous sword, many immediately recognized the sword as Dark Sister, wielded by great men and women throughout the Targaryen Dynasty.
Rhaegar didn't care about the commotion around; his eyes were fixed on the beautiful sword in his hand. It was a sword for smaller hands, it could be a light sword instead of a longsword, but it was as powerful as one and even faster.
"Dark Sister." Rhaegar murmured with slightly trembling hands. There was a bubbling emotion in his chest that he couldn't describe at that moment.
Honestly, seeing Rhaegar's state of euphoria, Cadmus had no idea what was so special about an indestructible sword. However, remembering that this was a medieval world and swords had always been the love of men and knights.
Even being inferior to spears, the main weapons on the battlefield, swords always had a special place in men's hearts.
"He looks like he's holding a child." Cadmus commented with a laugh to Daenerys, who rolled her eyes, but looking at Rhaegar's happiness, she remembered that her brother was not as happy when he held Maekar, Gaemon, and Naerys.
"Brother, stop admiring my sword; it will disappear if you keep looking." Daenerys said with a provocative tone, knowing how precious this sword was to House Targaryen. It was not just a killing machine, but an orthodox symbol of a kingdom.
Rhaegar realized that what he was doing was not appropriate for his status and showed an embarrassed smile; he reluctantly sheathed Dark Sister and handed it to Daenerys with a look of extreme relevance. He heard Daenerys's words and knew the sword was hers.
Sitting back in his chair, Rhaegar looked at the sword that was now on his sister's lap and asked with a calm tone. "I presume Leaf is present at this moment; ask her to come in, I want to thank her personally."
Although he knew there were many hidden things in the arrival of a Child of the Forest, especially one who gave Dark Sister as a gift as a sign of peace. Even a fool could see that the Child of the Forest wanted something from him.
Daenerys looked at Cadmus and saw him nod. "She's coming."
As Daenerys's words sounded, the hall doors opened and silence once again permeated the environment. Only small, delicate footsteps echoed in the Hall of a Hundred Hearths.
Rhaegar stopped breathing seeing Leaf's appearance; it was exactly as written in the books and even more impressive. Despite her exotic appearance, the Child of the Forest was beautiful with her hair resembling the color of autumn.
"Brother, Leaf is the current Tribe Leader, that is, the queen of the Children of the Forest Beyond the Wall." Daenerys whispered to Rhaegar and the king understood the implications of her words.
Rhaegar stood up again and stood before Leaf. "I am the Eighteenth King of my Line, Rhaegar of House Targaryen and King of the Seven Kingdoms. In my name, welcome to my kingdom, and you will be treated as a guest of the highest honor."
This world was a bit strange for Cadmus; Westeros could sometimes be considered a low-magic world, but sometimes it could be considered a high-magic world. For example, the Children of the Forest invoked a rain of meteors to break the Arm of Dorne, the current Broken Arm, destroying the ancient connection between the Continent of Westeros and Essos.
Not to mention the resurrection of the dead, something that in many universes and worlds was impossible to happen. So, Cadmus was often confused by the quality of the world of Westeros, but he was sure that this race, which was the Elves of this world, was not as simple or even as fragile as they appeared.
Who knows when another meteor shower would descend upon Westeros again? Rhaegar didn't want to wait and see if the Children of the Forest had such power. Especially after seeing the power of Cadmus's magic.
"I am Leaf, Third of My Name and Leader of the Snow Forest Tribe, I accept your hospitality and will be under your care, Your Grace." Leaf spoke in the Common Tongue, so everyone heard perfectly what she was saying.
Rhaegar smiled at Leaf and with a penetrating gaze, made Viserys change seats without any problem. However, Cadmus noticed something strange in Viserys's eyes... the way he was looking at Leaf seemed... full of desire?
Cadmus was surprised by this and looked at Viserys with admiration; he truly deserved to be called the Prince of Roses, he really spared no rose that had a pussy. Just as red dragons in D&D didn't care what race they mated with, Viserys also seemed not to care, as long as there was a hole, the prince seemed ready to uncover it.
Cadmus looked at Daenerys and whispered his suspicions to his future wife. The princess looked at Viserys and then at Leaf, seeing the former staring intently at the Child of the Forest, Daenerys was speechless at her brother's insatiable lust.
"If they have a baby, what would it be like?" Daenerys asked with a look of extreme curiosity. Not only was she curious, Cadmus was equally curious. Both looked at each other and saw the malice in each other's eyes.
"As his sister, it is my duty to find a wife for my brother." Daenerys said with a solemn and justifiable tone.
"What a coincidence, as my Good Brother, I am also concerned about his marriage." Cadmus also said with a solemn and justifiable tone.
Leaf and Viserys did not hear Cadmus's and Daenerys's conversation, but Rhaegar heard perfectly and looked at both with a speechless gaze. To satisfy their curiosity, his sister and Cadmus could even sacrifice Viserys...
'This cannot happen, Viserys's reputation will be completely destroyed, how will he marry a good woman in the future?' Rhaegar shook his head and did not let these thoughts continue in his mind. He looked at both with a critical and disapproving gaze, before beginning to speak with Leaf.
"He is obviously also curious, but pretends to be noble." Daenerys said, pouting her lips as she looked at Rhaegar with a touch of sarcasm.
Cadmus wanted to laugh, but held back, although the idea of Viserys marrying Leaf was still in his mind. To gain support from House Targaryen, Leaf would certainly not refuse, even if it was an interspecies marriage.
