Chapter 93 - Chapter 92 - War of Raventree Hal

The morning after the wedding day.

Cadmus got out of bed with trembling legs, an expression of pain and pleasure, he looked like a happy masochist after suffering at the hands of a dominatrix. Looking at the girl in bed, the wizard's expression showed a touch of disbelief.

He couldn't believe they had sex for five damn hours!

Daenerys wasn't kidding when she said he wouldn't get out of bed the next day; the girl was a woman of her word and kept her promise. Honestly, Cadmus felt he would be swallowed by Daenerys at some point in his night of passion.

It was no exaggeration; the woman wanted to suck every drop of his energy; she was like an insatiable monster that rode him as if there were no tomorrow.

Feeling the pain in his back, Cadmus opened his bag and took out a potion of healing, stamina, and vitality.

"I married a succubus." He murmured as he drank the potions without any hesitation. However, he was proud to say that he didn't lose this war. Daenerys fell exhausted on the battlefield, and he won the war.

"As fire, so voracious." Cadmus murmured to himself as he looked at the girl sleeping comfortably in bed. A white sheet rested over her body, leaving only her shoulders exposed. She had a peaceful expression on her face and a smile on her lips, apparently having a good dream.

Getting out of bed, Cadmus stretched and put on a black silk robe and lay comfortably on the sofa. Suddenly, he felt someone sit on his lap and saw Daenerys, using the sheet as clothing, sitting on his lap. Her lilac eyes looking at him with tenderness and an almost suffocating sweetness.

Cadmus laughed and caressed her hair; it was so soft and silky that it slipped like sand through his fingers, smelled good, and seemed to shine like pure silver under the sun's rays falling on the couple.

"Was the night comfortable, husband?" Daenerys asked, resting her chin on his shoulder, her eyes always fixed on her husband's beautiful profile. It was a casual question, but Cadmus felt an almost irresistible seductive aura coming from her.

Daenerys naturally noticed Cadmus's excitement, as she felt something below her harden almost instantly. "You're still not satisfied!?" She asked with an incredulous and shocked tone.

The knowledge she had about men, which came from her mother, seemed to crumble at that moment. She fought all night, sucked every seed from her husband, yet the man was still ready to fight at any moment.

"Never underestimate a man's desire to have sex." Cadmus said with a calm tone and without a hint of shame. He naturally wouldn't do it again; he could imagine that Daenerys was suffering a lot at that moment.

He wasn't gentle last night, and since it lasted for hours, Daenerys being able to walk was already a miracle in his eyes.

Feeling her husband calm down, Daenerys sighed with relief and dispelled the fear in her heart; she really couldn't have another round; she was so sore that just moving was very painful.

"Drink this, it will help you recover." Cadmus handed her three potions and spoke with a gentle tone. He naturally wouldn't be stingy with his wife, the future mother of his children.

Daenerys didn't hesitate and drank all three vials; the next moment, she felt a comfortable warmth spread through her body. All the tiredness, pain, and injuries seemed to magically disappear.

With shining eyes, Daenerys looked at Cadmus and said with a seductive and graceful tone. "I feel like I can continue."

Cadmus's lips twisted abnormally; now he believed he had generally married a succubus; not even a nymphomaniac was as voracious when it came to sex.

Of course, if there was any man in the world who would complain about this "pain," he, Cadmus, was not one of those fools. If he didn't satisfy his own wife, who would? So, when Cadmus was preparing for another inevitable battle in the morning, there was a knock on his door.

Looking at the door and without needing to know who was behind it, Cadmus spoke with a calm tone. "Enter."

The next moment, Kinvara entered the room with a solemn expression. "House Tully attacked Raventree Hall."

Cadmus seemed to hear a funny joke, as Kinvara had just said that House Tully attacked Raventree Hall... however, this was not a funny joke at all. He gently placed Daenerys on the sofa and asked with a cold tone.

"What did you just say?" He asked a second time; it wasn't that Cadmus was deaf, but the idea of House Tully attacking House Blackwood was something he never thought he'd hear in his life.

Not to mention that House Blackwood was an ancient and noble family of kings, controlling a powerful army of tens of thousands of men; how could a weakened House Tully fight against one of the most powerful noble houses in Westeros?

"Mages from Sothoryos, more specifically Ban Ard Academy led by a Grand Master Mage, Stregobor, a master of illusionary arts." Kinvara replied with a calm tone. She knew those stupid arrogant mages well, especially Stregobor, a fanatic in prophecies.

"Why are these reclusive mages coming to Westeros?" Cadmus asked with a rather dissatisfied expression. Westeros was his territory; any mage in this place was entering a dangerous place.

"Stregobor is an idiot who follows prophecies as if they were spoken by his god; he probably saw one and came to Westeros with a group of Mages." Kinvara didn't doubt the arrogance of the Ban Ard mages for a moment. She was five hundred years old and knew better than anyone how ignorant and arrogant these mages were.

"Dany, I'm going to meet your brother, rest well, my love." Gently kissing her forehead, Cadmus said with a gentle and tender tone.

Daenerys nodded, but her murderous gaze couldn't be hidden from anyone at that moment. In her mind, she had already decreed the death of all Ban Ard mages in Westeros. These idiots dared to disrupt her husband's and brother's plans!

Cadmus didn't waste time even changing his clothes; he went in his black silk robe and left the room with Kinvara.

Apparating directly to where the king was, Cadmus found Rhaegar and the members of the small council together; all had cold and somber expressions. The wizard presumed that something bad had happened, and his thoughts materialized.

"Raventree fell; Lord Titus fled the castle with his private army and arrived in Harrenhal a few minutes ago. However, both sons died in the attack." Rhaegar said with a terribly cold tone. House Blackwood was one of the noble houses loyal to House Targaryen; now they had lost their fief and subjects.

"At least they managed to escape; it seems the mages are a bunch of incompetents." Cadmus sat down and spoke with an equally cold tone.

"Did House Bracken act?" Cadmus asked with a calm tone.

"Yes, they helped House Tully's army; it seems their hatred for the Blackwoods is stronger than the fear they have for me." Rhaegar wanted to laugh, but found no reason to laugh, and his gaze grew even colder.

"Knowing the number of mages?" Cadmus asked again, this time, the question was not for Rhaegar, but for Jon Connington, the Master of Whispers.

"About thirty, all wearing blue and white robes, all using staffs and other pieces of wood." Faced with Cadmus's question, Jon replied with a cold tone.

"That's a lot." Cadmus frowned at the number of mages; he underestimated Stregobor's prestige; it seemed that the Grand Master of illusions was more influential than he expected.

"Your Majesty, you don't need to worry about being attacked in Harrenhal; the entire castle is a magical and physical fortress; no mage can invade this castle without my permission." Cadmus said with a solemn tone; he stood up and continued speaking.

"I will kill these worms who dared to tread on my territory."

"Bring their heads; Titus, who is still unconscious and severely wounded, will probably want the heads of his sons' murderers." Rhaegar was relieved not to worry about being attacked by mages and spoke with an extremely murderous tone.

If Meraxes were not so young, he would have gone personally and killed all the mages and then gone to Ban Ard to replicate the legendary feat of his ancestor, Aegon I.

Cadmus nodded; losing two children was something many parents wouldn't even want to know that desolate feeling.
