"Tianlang, I need some experimental materials. Some are controlled substances. Can you help me get them?" Lin Chen asked.
"Of course, Mr. Lin," Tianlang replied.
"As an SS-rank individual, you have many privileges. Things restricted to the public are readily available to you. What materials do you need?" Tianlang chuckled on the other end.
"I'll send you a list. Prepare the items according to the list, and I'll transfer the money later when I know the total cost," Lin Chen said.
"Mr. Lin, you might not be aware, but as an SS-rank research talent, you receive 100 million yuan in annual research funding each year, even if you're not part of a Research Institute."
"You don't need to pay for anything under one hundred million."

The next morning, someone knocked on his door early. It was Liu Feng, who handed him a briefcase.
"Everything you requested is inside, Mr. Lin."
"Thank you!"
In the morning, Lin Chen prepared a large batch of anesthetic agents, which he stored in test tubes. If a drone were to crash and destroy a test tube, the contents would shatter. Inhaling these agents would quickly render someone unconscious.
*Normally, the drones wouldn't damage the test tubes. Lin Chen had designed them with a small compartment to hold the anesthetic agents.*
In the afternoon, he synthesized some poisons, which were far more lethal than the anesthetics. He would *never* use these poisons in the drones he intended for Xu Mengyao, his parents, or Xu Guofeng. If an anesthetic agent were accidentally broken, it would only incapacitate someone for about half an hour; inhaling poison, however, would be a death sentence.
"Store!"
Lin Chen transferred the drones carrying poisons into his System Space. He had about twenty of them, which should be enough for most situations, as long as his attackers weren't too numerous.
"I hope I never have to use these," Lin Chen muttered to himself.
With over a dozen National Security members protecting him, he wouldn't normally need such measures. He prepared them as a contingency.
"Daddy, are you done with work?" Lin Xiaoqian asked, looking up as Lin Chen stepped outside.
Lin Chen smiled warmly. "Finished. Xixi, let Daddy check your homework. If it's all correct, we'll go swimming!"
"Okay!"
Lin Xiaoqian nodded.
Lin Chen quickly reviewed her work.
The math problems were advanced sixth-grade Olympiad-level problems, but he found no errors.
Getting every problem right meant that Lin Xiaoqian had completely mastered elementary school mathematics.
"Xixi, congratulations! You got them all right!" Lin Chen kissed his daughter and smiled. "From now on, I'll teach you junior high math."
"Hehe, Daddy, I checked my work! I made a mistake in one place, but I caught it!" Lin Xiaoqian said cheerfully.
"Checking is a great habit," Lin Chen replied. "Even the most skilled people can make simple mistakes."
"Let's go! Time for swimming!"
In less than half an hour, they arrived at a high-end hotel they frequented for its excellent pool.
Soon, Lin Xiaoqian was practicing her swimming. She could swim, but not for long distances.
About ten minutes later, a beautiful woman with a striking figure approached the pool.
Lin Chen was focused on teaching Lin Xiaoqian, but the pool was nearly empty. He noticed the woman.
This woman's looks were slightly less striking than Xu Mengyao's, but her figure was marginally superior.
"Handsome, is she your daughter?"
"Your daughter is so cute."
After about ten minutes, the woman looked at Lin Chen and asked, "Hmm."
Lin Chen nodded slightly.
The woman lowered her voice. "Handsome, I don't want to get married, but I'd love to have a child as adorable as her. My room is 808. Can you help me?"
"I'll be here for the next week."
"I promise I won't disturb your family."
Lin Chen frowned. "Find someone else to help you."
With that, he swam toward Lin Xiaoqian.
The woman's lips curled slightly. She was confident in her charm. Surely Lin Chen wouldn't refuse her such a request?
After swimming a little longer, Lin Chen took Lin Xiaoqian and left.
In the car, Lin Chen called Liu Feng. "Liu Feng, a woman approached me deliberately while swimming. She's quite attractive. Look into her."
"Understood."
Liu Feng began investigating immediately.
