Cell couldn't understand it. How could Goku be so powerful—and yet still look down on him? His anger boiled.
He had finally reached his perfect form. If he was killed like this, it would be humiliating.
Goku's gaze locked onto him. "Cell, if you have no last words, prepare to go to hell."
Goku raised his hand, gathering a massive ball of energy. The sheer size of it made Cell's lightning-infused body shudder with fear.
Cell roared, "Goku! If you want to kill me, I won't make it easy!"
Determined to fight to the last, Cell gathered his strongest Kamehameha, aiming to match Goku's energy.
The two massive energy waves collided, clashing violently.
Cell was stunned. This… my Kamehameha is just as strong as before—but why does it barely affect him?
Confusion filled him. The principle behind Goku's overwhelming power eluded him completely.

Despite his confusion, Cell regained a shred of confidence. If I can hold my ground, maybe I can win.
Half a minute later, he laughed. "Haha! Goku, it seems your power isn't greater than mine. My earlier worry was unnecessary!"
The Z Warriors exchanged worried glances. Hadn't Goku already crushed Cell? Why did it seem like Cell was holding his own?
Yamcha asked, "Isn't Goku's power higher than Cell's?"
Tien Shinhan shook his head. "I don't know. We're just spectators. We can't see what he's planning."
Krillin smiled. "Relax, that's Goku. He crushed Cell once, he'll do it again. Probably having a bit of fun this time."
Piccolo nodded. "Exactly. He's always in control. No need to worry."
Vegeta, however, clenched his fists.
He understood the momentary surge of Goku's power was a level truly beyond Super Saiyan. "Kakarot… one day, I will master that power too."

Cell, desperately fighting, noticed the energy from Goku's Kamehameha had increased.
Shocked, he muttered, "What? Goku… you damned guy!"
Cell tried everything to match the energy wave, but it was impossible.
He's been tricked! Cell realized. Goku hadn't even used his full strength.
Rage boiled within him. "Hateful!"
Goku's energy wave swept across Cell relentlessly. He roared, but it was futile.
When the smoke cleared, Cell's body was scarred and bloody.
Lightning Cell, despite his enormous power, had been seriously injured, and his aura was fading.
The thought of kneeling and begging again crept into him—this seemed to be his only chance to survive.
Goku lowered his arms. "Cell, you're not going to beg again, are you? Stop wasting your time. Your fate is already sealed."
Fear consumed Cell. He turned, choosing to flee. Survival was the only option left.
But Goku was faster. Using instant teleportation, he appeared before Cell.
Unable to stop, Cell crashed directly into Goku's raised fist. His already battered face was crushed further.
Cell groaned in agony. "Goku… you… stronger… but I will surpass you… someday!"
Goku paused, stunned for a moment. That tone… is oddly like Vegeta.
Then he realized—it made sense. Cell contained fragments of many warriors' cells.
Cell, desperate, tried to flee again. But Goku's fist pierced him from behind, leaving Cell in disbelief.
"Goku… how…?"
Goku's voice was cold and unbothered. "Cell, do you think I'll tell you? Dead men don't need answers. Time to continue your training in the underworld."
An instant later, Goku's energy bomb exploded, tearing Cell apart.
Another energy bomb finished the job, leaving nothing behind.
The Z Warriors exhaled in relief.
Even if Cell had survived earlier, being completely suppressed had kept them on edge. Now, he was gone for good.
Krillin pumped his fist. "Yes! Goku killed Cell! It's finally over!"
Yamcha laughed in relief. "Finally, no more worries!"
Tien Shinhan nodded. "We need to keep training. We can't fall behind."
Piccolo agreed. "It's a harsh reality, but true."
Vegeta looked to the sky, silent, thoughts unreadable.

Goku turned to No. 18, who was cowering behind No. 16.
Number 16 reassured her. "Don't worry. Goku isn't going to harm you."
No. 18 hesitated. "How can you be sure?"
"I analyzed his expression," Number 16 explained. "It's not 100% precise, but close enough. Goku doesn't intend to kill you."
No. 18 nodded, trusting Number 16's data. She had no choice.
Goku approached. "No. 16, become my wife's bodyguard. You're suited for this job."
"And you, No. 18?"
Before Goku could finish, No. 18 answered, "I agree."
