Chapter 583 - Chapter 322: Collecting Shikigami_2

This number of people is nothing to Uchiha Yoichi; he descended from the sky openly.

Bang!

"Who is it?"

The Hidden Rain Ninja saw someone suddenly fall from the sky and immediately shouted loudly. However, when the two teams of Hidden Rain Ninja saw those blood-red Sharingan eyes, they instantly lost consciousness.

When they woke up, they couldn't remember anything.

After resolving the outside guards with an Illusion Technique, Uchiha Yoichi directly pushed the door open and walked in.

Just as he entered the room, Uchiha Yoichi felt a sharp scythe slashing towards him; it was Hanzo, who had already been lying in ambush. Hearing the alarm from outside, he immediately picked up his weapon and, without thinking, slashed at the intruder.

Chakra enveloped his body's surface, instantly enhancing Uchiha Yoichi's skin to another level.

Clang!

Crack!

The full-force slash of the scythe, upon striking Uchiha Yoichi's head, emitted a sharp metallic sound, and the hardened blade shattered into pieces.

"Impossible..."

Hanzo's hand suddenly felt numb from the recoil, and he was shocked to discover that Uchiha Yoichi's head was unharmed, with only an imperceptible white mark.

"There's nothing unbelievable about it!"

Uchiha Yoichi formed a hand blade with his right hand, then swung it, directly severing Hanzo's head.

After catching the falling head, he performed a jutsu to extract Hanzo's spirit.

"Now that the three spirit bodies are gathered, I can create a Shikigami...."

Originally planning to leave, Uchiha Yoichi had a change of heart upon seeing Hanzo's head and stored it in his Storage Ring.

Soon after, Uchiha Yoichi arrived at the Rain River District.

The area was undergoing major transformation, and Konoha had invited many people to assess the modifications of the Rain River District and Sate Special District. The conclusion was to remove the mountain range between the Rain River District and Sate West District, so the Rain River District would no longer accumulate rain clouds.

Once this transformation is complete, the problems of one region being too rainy and the other too dry will be completely resolved.

Konan is a high-ranking figure in the Rain River District and has a deeper connection with Uchiha Yoichi; naturally, she's aware of such matters.

She had just brought Nagato to the Rain River District, but instead of urgently transporting Nagato to the hospital, she deliberately took a detour and strolled around the Rain River District with him.

She shared with Nagato many changes in the Land of Rain, asserting that once the mountain removal project is over, the regions of the former Land of Rain will no longer experience constant rain.

".....Nagato, Yahiko's childhood dream has now been realized, and in the future, the lives of the civilians in the Land of Rain will get better and better."

Konan spoke gently, achieving this step was already her limit. Fortunately, she fulfilled the childhood dreams of the three of them, and now, the Land of Rain will no longer be crying.

After a pause, Nagato spoke: "Thank you, Konan.....it's you who worked tirelessly, while I..."

"Without you and Yahiko, I might have died long ago; how could I be alive now?"

Konan interrupted Nagato's words, revealing that she had sensed Nagato's suicidal tendencies several times before, although she had already counseled him to some improvement.

"Nagato, rest assured, I will definitely get you out of prison so that you can experience the life of the citizens of the Land of Rain...."

Even though it's now the Rain River District, Konan uses the term Land of Rain when speaking to Nagato.

Nagato no longer finds purpose in life, especially since the Land of Rain has improved so much; he struggles to see what value there is in the existence of someone like him, deceived and broken.

"It's about time we returned."

A Konoha Ninja suddenly appeared near Konan with Instant Body Technique, whispering to her.

Originally, they were escorting a prisoner, but due to Konan, they had deviated from their path for quite some time. Nonetheless, this was permitted by Yuhi Kurenai as a representative of the Hokage Office.

However, they must deliver the prisoner before nightfall.

Konan checked the time, nodded, and said, "I understand. Let's go back."

Back on the prison transport route, Konan and her group soon returned to Rain River District's prison. Each district has its own prison, guarded by inspectors from their respective Guard Teams.

After delivering Nagato inside, Konan returned to her residence in Rain River District; she exchanged her body for Nagato's opportunity to come out once every three months, which was the maximum limit she could achieve.

Upon returning home, Konan's expression subtly changed. She took off her shoes and proceeded to the living room, spotting the familiar figure. She couldn't help but ask, "Why are you here..."

"I brought you some news along the way; your enemy was resolved by me without much trouble..."

After speaking, Uchiha Yoichi took out a scroll and placed it on the table, then continued, "Your other enemy should be wishing for death now, and Hanzo was resolved by me too; I helped you out a lot this time, didn't I."

Upon hearing this, Konan's expression softened slightly, and she glanced at the scroll on the table before replying in a low voice, "Thank you..."

"Is there anything else you want to say to me?"

Uchiha Yoichi observed Konan's hesitant demeanor and guessed she had more to say.

"No, nothing...."

Konan shook her head, while internally sighing; her earlier words to Nagato were purely comforting, granting him freedom felt increasingly unlikely.

Nevertheless, Konan clung to a small, unrealistic hope and tentatively asked, "Can you let Nagato..."

"You're really naïve, Konan. He's already lucky to be alive, and can still step out occasionally..."

Uchiha Yoichi's words prompted Konan to lower her eyes and head.

However, Uchiha Yoichi suddenly thought Konan had been cold for so long, a change might make things interesting, so he asked, "You want Nagato out of prison, to live like an ordinary citizen, right."

Konan lifted her head to look at Uchiha Yoichi, involuntarily asking, "You...are willing to agree?"

"Sure, but it depends on whether you can do it."

Uchiha Yoichi paused, then continued, "You just need to get pregnant, and Nagato can be released from prison."

"You...."

Konan's face reddened, and she slowly closed her eyes, opting not to speak further.

After a brief silence, Konan eventually spoke, "Is that all it takes?"

Surprised, Uchiha Yoichi remarked, "You actually agree. I know you've been taking medication, avoiding pregnancy, yet you're willing for Nagato's sake....why?"

Konan replied flatly, "If they hadn't saved me, I would have died back then....you wouldn't understand!"

"I don't truly grasp it, but if you continue being so cold, you won't get pregnant within ten years; you can't possibly expect me to initiate it."

Hearing Uchiha Yoichi's words, Konan's complexion turned pale, then flushed with embarrassment. But she exhaled deeply and got up, saying, "Please follow me."

"I want to take a bath first."

"...I'll run the water."

After speaking, Konan headed to the bathroom, filled the bathtub, hesitated momentarily, but then bit her lip and gradually removed her clothing.

Her snow-white skin and perfect figure reflected in the mirror, only covered by a few cloth strips. After completing this task, Konan walked out.

Her face flushed with uncontrollable embarrassment, she lowered her head and said to Uchiha Yoichi, "The water is ready...."

"Having an 'Angel' serve you is very rare, let's go together then."

With that, Uchiha Yoichi stood up, wrapped his arm around Konan's slender waist, and walked towards the bathroom with her.

Splash, splash~

Once inside, water sounds were quickly accompanied by Konan's inquiries about back scrubbing.

But soon, the water splashes grew hurried and loud, complemented by the sound of clapping within the water and Konan's unrestrained cries, echoing inside the bathroom.

Several hours later, the sounds gradually faded away.
