The room became even quieter.
Daichi swallowed nervously.
Yuna's expression tightened slightly.
Even students pretending to stay calm looked more focused now.
Daigo let the silence settle for a moment before continuing.
Then he turned and wrote another word above Era.
CYCLE
The chalk moved slowly across the board.
"…A Cycle is larger than an Era."
He drew a line downward.
Cycle
↓
Era
"…Many Eras can exist within a single Cycle."
Ayame watched the board carefully.
Daigo continued.
"…A Cycle represents a historical order."
"…The direction society itself moves in."
Some students still looked confused.
So Daigo explained more carefully.
"…Wars alone do not create a new Cycle."
"…A new Cycle only begins when a generation changes the structure of the world itself."
"…Political systems."
"…Authority."
"…The foundation future generations live under."
The room remained completely silent.
Then Daigo wrote:
Cycle 26 — Era 1
Tsunami Aragi Generation
A few students widened their eyes slightly.
"…That generation changed the direction of history enough to become the foundation of a completely new historical order."
"…Which is why historians later recognized them as Cycle 26, Era 1."
Daigo stepped slightly aside from the board.
"…Above Cycles are Epochs."
He wrote the final word:
EPOCH
"…Massive historical ages of civilization."
"…Ancient enough that scholars still debate parts of their records."
The classroom remained silent after Daigo finished writing the final structure across the board.
