Chapter 166 - Where to Plug the Cat Tail?

"Hah?!" Gabriel pulled off her headphones, glaring at Jhin who had run in to make her work. "It's the weekend, isn't it?!"

"Students get weekends off. You are a maid. I haven't made you work much lately, and you still want to slack off and get paid on the weekend?"

Jhin didn't give an inch. He pulled a pink maid outfit directly from his storage space and threw it over her. "Go change quickly. I'm thirsty."

"You guy..." Gabriel ground her silver teeth. "If you're thirsty, can't you get a drink from the fridge yourself? There's cola in there."

"I don't want cola." Jhin sat cross-legged on the floor, putting on the airs of a master. "Why should I drink cola when I have a maid? Go make me tea, now!"

What else could Gabriel do? She could only go make tea for Jhin filled with resentment. She didn't change into that maid outfit, though. First, it took too much time. Second, why should she change into that outfit which was different from the usual one? If there was something wrong with it, she wouldn't even have time to cry.

Placing a cup of tea emitting pitch-black resentment in front of Jhin, Gabriel forced out an ugly smile. "Mas! Ter! Please drink your tea!"

Jhin was amused by her expression. "Do you feel very angry and unconvinced?"

"How could I?" For the sake of her wages and whaling plans, Gabriel held back the urge to give Jhin a black eye and answered against her conscience, "This is my primary job."

"Is that so? Then put these two things on, will you?" Jhin took out black cat ears and a cat tail accessory from his storage space and held them in front of Gabriel.

If it were just the cat ears, Gabriel might have swallowed her pride and worn them, but what was the meaning of that pink round bead at the base of the cat tail?!

Gabriel was someone who surfed the web intensely when not gaming. She had seen plenty of toys that looked similar to adult props, and now Jhin actually wanted her to wear it.

Not dying in silence, but exploding in silence.

Gabriel definitely chose the latter. Face flushed red, she slapped the "adult prop" out of Jhin's hand and scolded him sternly, "Jhin! To think you're my best friend, yet you actually want me to wear th-this kind of thing?"

"Even if I violate the Heaven Treaty or breach the contract, I will not wear this thing."

The more Gabriel spoke, the more agitated she became. Her pitch-black angel halo and pure white wings, which hadn't appeared for a long time, both emerged. She decided to sober up Jhin, whose head was clouded by lust. She kicked Jhin over cleanly—he offered no resistance—pinned him to the ground, and straddled him. Her right hand shone with holy light; it was the purification divine magic she had prepared.

"Just obediently accept my purification!" When Gabriel said this, who knows what she was thinking, but her face became unusually excited and flushed, panting heavily.

Clatter!

Vignette stood at the entrance, the notebook in her hand falling to the floor with a crisp sound. Because Gabriel had said there were things in the homework she didn't understand and asked her to come teach her, Vignette had rushed over with her textbook and homework. But she never expected to stumble upon the scene of Gabriel attacking Jhin.

The petite blonde girl spreading her pure white wings was straddling a boy, a flushed and twisted smile blooming on her face. Paired with the cat ears and maid outfit scattered on the ground, and the pitch-black halo above her head, it was hard for Vignette not to associate this with the Succubus race from the Demon Realm.

Gabriel looked just like a Succubus who had failed to seduce a human and was now exasperatedly preparing to force herself on him. Vignette waved her small hand, summoning her pitch-black trident, ready to sober up this delirious Fallen Angel.

"Vine! Stop a second! What are you doing? It's all a misunderstanding!"

"Useless words! You Fallen Angel attacking a human!"

"Ahhh!!!" A tragic scream resounding through the sky pierced the clouds.

Vignette and Gabriel, having understood the full picture, knelt obediently in the room. Jhin brewed tea and placed it in front of them. "You two, neither of you gives others a chance to explain. Now you know the consequences, right?"

"Tch, I'm not in the wrong. Who told you to take out something so easily misunderstood?" Gabriel downed the tea in one gulp and held the empty cup towards Jhin. "Finished. Give me another cup."

"Aren't you afraid it was made with boiling water?"

"Heh," Gabriel said proudly. "You know I don't like hot tea and never care about mouthfeel. Basically, the tea you give me is always warm, okay?"

Vignette glanced at the steaming hot teacup in front of her. Indeed, as Gabriel said, only her tea was warm.

"Have I spoiled you rotten? If others saw this, they might accuse me of having a bad attitude towards you." Jhin refilled Gabriel's tea. She drank it in one go again, smacked her lips, and waved her hand nonchalantly.

"Why care about others' opinions? If it really comes to it, I'll just explain, won't I?"

"Speaking of which, where is the doll I gave you during the Cultural Festival?" Jhin looked around the room but couldn't find a trace of it. "You didn't sell it, did you?"

"I wouldn't do something like that. Vignette came to clean a while ago, I probably stuffed it in the wardrobe."

"Why do you hide it when I come to clean? I wouldn't dirty the doll!" Vignette was unhappy. She ran over to clean for Gabriel, yet she wasn't trusted.

If Vignette got angry and stopped cleaning her room, given Jhin's recent frequency of visits, Gabriel's room would probably be a garbage dump for half a month. In the past, she wouldn't have cared; she was used to living like that anyway.

But times had changed. Under the influence of Jhin and Vignette taking turns to clean, Gabriel had more or less gotten used to a clean room. She just didn't want to clean it herself because it would waste gaming time.

Gabriel didn't want to lose her free cleaner, so she hurriedly explained to Vignette, "I didn't mean it like that. Think about it, that doll counts as the first gift Jhin gave me. Wanting to preserve it well is a normal thought, right?"

"That... makes sense." Vignette tentatively believed her explanation.

"Thank you for the sentiment, but I think it's better to let the doll stay out and see the sunlight, so it doesn't get moldy."

"I got it, I'll just take it out." Gabriel muttered as she stood up, took the brown teddy bear doll out of the wardrobe, and casually tossed it onto the bed.

Jhin retorted at her casual action, "You said you wanted to preserve it well? I can't see that from your attitude."

"Hmph. Being able to stay on the bed where this Angel sleeps, surrounded by the aura of an Angel, is the best preservation."
