Sukuna
"I've read the report about how you gain powers. It seems like a complicated mixture of Dauntless and Eidolon's ability. Can you make a list of the abilities you have and describe their effects?" said the Head Scientist, David Clearwater.
On one hand, I can just lie about them, but the truth is I can't be bothered right now. Whatever information they gather about me will always be outdated, as this is the last time I will actively tell them my powers.
Any new ones they will have to figure out as they see it.
"Hmmm, okay. So my power lets me know about the potency of powers. Particular ones feel 'heavier' than others. It lets me know their potency and lethality compared to others."
"The first one I gained is the strongest one I have on hand. Its application is technically limitless, as it's only limited by my strength and creativity."
"My power seems to also give names to these abilities."
"This one is called Blade Blacksmith. It was derived from an alternate earth where most people had the potential to develop powers as long as they worked hard for it. This particular ability was my variant's."
"At its core, it's a simple ability. It can create and manifest swords or anything sword-like. The thing that makes this ability special is that it can create swords with any ability as long as I can imagine it or have seen it."
"For example, there is a family of capes in that world that have a particularly potent ability passed down through their bloodline. It's called Destruction. They can fire beams made of destruction that bypass and erode all forms of durability—even conceptual abilities aren't safe. He copied their ability into a sword and created a Sword of Destruction that has all the functions of their abilities. He can fire beams of destruction through the sword; anything he slices gets reduced to atoms."
"That is the kind of ability he has, and now I have the same. It also has the possibility to evolve to a higher state, like a second trigger, and further enhance and bring out more ability applications."
As I was speaking, my body went rigid for a second, and in that second, the Celestial Gambler swung eight times and gained five stars. A steal in my books. Let me see what I got.
[Companion Bracelet]
0 CP
A bracelet housing an evolving AI. Although Alliance policy is to hand them out to people only after they've gotten their class at level 10, an exception was made for you to get it a bit earlier. Although called a bracelet, there are different forms for different races. Slime people might be injected with a nanite swarm programmed with the same effect, for example. Once you have equipped the bracelet, the AI will adapt itself to gain an ideal personality fitting your own. The AI of a loner might become their perfect friend, that of a rich girl always left alone might become a butler caring for her, and someone living a loveless life might find that their companion AI has all the qualities they'd want in a girlfriend. No matter how your companion AI will end up, they will always act in your best interest. As they have a photographic memory and see the world through your senses, they can highlight important objects or places you might have missed, jog your memory if you forget something important, or browse through the internet to find information a million times faster than somebody with a human brain would. There are also various upgrades that can add to the functionality of the companion bracelet, such as identifying software allowing your companion AI to scan the Aura of creatures or objects to determine their ability, level, and other information, or even an upgrade to allow an instance of them to live in your brain and tap into your senses to control your body in dangerous situations, or just show the trajectories enemy projectiles will take so you can easily dodge them. For 50 CP each, you can apply one upgrade to your companion bracelet, with no limit on how many you can purchase.
Purchase: 100 CP
• Allow AI to live in the Hidden Existence Amulet.

[Superhuman Skill]
100 CP
You possess greater than human levels of skill in a single occupation. You could be a superhuman sniper, martial artist, mechanic, chef, or any other area of skill. You may purchase additional occupations for an extra 100 CP each. At Street Tier, you are slightly above what a normal human could achieve. This level of skill is equivalent to Bullseye's accuracy or Lady Shiva's fighting skill. At National Tier, you can achieve feats of skill that would normally only be possible with machine-like perfection. You could literally shoot the wings off a fly at 100 meters, perform delicate brain surgery with a shard of glass in a tenth the normal time, or write a song that inspires a national revolution within days. At Global Tier, the laws of physics become flexible when you practice your skills. You can bend bullets Wanted-style, balance on a cloud, or swim up a rainstorm. At Cosmic Tier, things get a little ridiculous. Your skills acquire conceptual-level effects. You could shoot someone by targeting their shadow, dodge bad luck, or repair spatial rifts with duct tape and bailing wire.
Occupation chosen: Mechanic.

[Entrance Hall]
0 CP
This is the room your Access Key opens a door to. It starts off as a 5-meter cube with blank white walls, floor, and ceiling, and some doors—one leading to the current Host Reality, the other into your Cosmic Warehouse, with additional doors leading to other extensions as these get added to your Personal Reality. Feel free to customize this Entrance Hall as you see fit. Additional Halls can, at your discretion, be linked only to certain keys or only to certain extensions. This allows you to have an entry hall just for skiing if you want. If you have the Force Field Utility, the Field does not block access from the outside world into the Entrance Hall, but rather from the Entrance Hall into the rest of your Personal Reality.

[Hidden Existence]
0 CP
There are times that you don't want others to find you or even find that you exist. This grants you protection similar to the Dragon God's Armlet but more, as this prevents someone from using their ability to see your past, present, and future, reading your mind, intruding on your dreams, or summoning your soul to their realm. While the range of this protection only reaches up to the immediate surroundings, you can grant this protection to someone else, like a trusted companion, family, or even your spouse, but you are limited to only four people. By default, this is inherited by your children and their descendants. This amulet cannot be stolen, as it is bonded to your soul and bloodline. Can be disguised by making it go invisible at will.

[Divine Physiology (Demi-God)]
50 CP
You are no longer a normal mortal. You find that once you reach your prime, you age slowly enough to let you live hundreds, if not thousands, of years without changing too much. It would take a magical weapon to deal with you, though one could be used to finish you off if you were weak enough, and even then you would be able to last for a decent amount of time. You are able to fight longer than any normal mortal, being able to fight for hours if need be and you are not wounded. You are also far faster than a normal human and improve your skills and physique far quicker than humans. This perk is incorporated into the Foreigner Perk, further strengthening it and the weight of your legend.

(Warning: Celestial Gambler is not able to roll any perks for now, Host. Your soul needs to fully adapt and acclimatise to your current abilities. Points will still be gathered during that time. It is estimated that it would take a month or two to complete this process.)
Now that's a warning if I have ever seen one.
Okay, change of plans. I won't tell them of my magecraft or chakra abilities, and I also won't say much and try to keep my abilities as vague as possible.
I should have seen this coming. The Faceless One told me that the Shard and myself were becoming one, which also means it's not doing all the heavy lifting for me to gain powers. It's infusing them into my existence.
My soul can only handle so much right now and needs time to strengthen and expand. My vessel needs to enlarge appropriately to fit the contents, or it will spill over and possibly kill me in the process.
I have the feeling that if I want it bad enough, I can override it, but I can instinctively tell it's not worth the cost. Better I just wait the process out.
"Did you just get a power now?" asked Armsmaster as he looked at me, his hand slightly tightening against his halberd for some reason.
"How did you notice?" I asked, wanting to see it from his perspective.
"For about a second, your body went completely still, like you were in shock or locked in time. So am I correct?"
"Yeah. Want to know what it is? Sadly, I won't be sharing the true inner workings of them."
"Them. More than one at a time can also happen," he said like he was noting it down somewhere. Probably a computer program in his helmet or something.
"Yeah. First one: I have the ability to build one true AI assistant for myself. The second power further boosts my base physique even further and greatly increases my lifespan to about a thousand years. The third one made me a super genius in engineering, and the last one subtly blocks precognition, mind reading, and possession on myself and my surrounding area."
A pin drop could be heard right now in the lab as everyone went still.
"My other abilities are temporary shapeshifting, sticking and walking on surfaces, and an ability that lets me know, understand, and possibly replicate any object I see. From my instincts, if I get very good with it, I can see the history of the object."
There.
Still a lot, but I didn't say anything about the clones, hypnosis, or illusions or stuff in that vein. Even in X-Men comics, those abilities are frowned upon, even by mutants.
For the next few hours, all of my abilities were tested to their maximum. My strength was rated to be high but not yet top tier. What made it special is my speed, durability, balance, agility, and super strength are all equally superhuman and improve together.
I am able to comfortably lift three tonnes, but if I stress myself, I can lift about four tonnes. My speed is approaching supersonic, while my skin is harder than humans by many degrees and seems to subtly gain slight resistances to all sorts of impact.
It won't make me immune to harm, but it will allow me to shrug off most attacks easily.
My flight was measured at 200 km/h, and my beams are powerful and slightly weaker than a villain in this city they call Purity.
By the end of the day, I was escorted by a few PRT agents to my new apartment in a neighbourhood where a family of unmasked capes named New Wave resided.
Unknown to me, my power testing was already causing commotion between the Brockton Bay Protectorate Capes, Director Piggot, the Chief Director, and a bunch of other Protectorate directors.
Armsmaster
"Brute 6, Mover 5, Stranger 8, Blaster 8, Striker 8, Thinker 5, Tinker 3, a blindspot to precognitive thinkers and masters, and a Trump 10. These are the danger ratings given to us by the scientists for the Case 66, Aomine Yuji, today. He has agreed to join us at the PRT until he can legally move back to his home country, Portugal," Director Piggot said, reading the test results to the other directors of the Protectorate who logged in on a video conference.
I thought I had hatred for Dauntless before. A man passively growing. Improving without putting in much work while I toiled away in my lab just to stay relevant.
According to him, his true power is just to copy the abilities of himself in alternate timelines and dimensions.
My stomach turned even at the thought of it. What a horrible power. Piggybacking on the brilliance of others and framing it as his own.
I can't think of a worse ability.
No innovation. No struggling. Just pure plagiarism of his betters, even if they are also himself.
"What are the chances of neutralising him?" asked General Tagg.
"Bar calling the Triumvirate or hitting him with an all-or-nothing alpha strike, there isn't much we can do to him. He is already operating in S-class territory. We also noticed through some body readings that experts say he is definitely hiding some things, and he doesn't trust us. From what we can infer, he is using us as a stable base until he gets his bearings," I answered truthfully, and wasn't that a surprise.
From what we can glean, he holds a deep distrust for the agency and government in general.
"It doesn't help that he is a complete blindspot. Watchdog has calculated that a quarter of the Bay is either unseeable or constantly giving faulty information for them to work with," said Chief Director Rebecca Costa-Brown, who somehow got the information we gathered about twenty minutes before we presented them and Watchdog to scry our base.
"Does it also affect The Simurgh?" asked Director Armstrong, the Boston Director, quietly, as though fearing that she might be listening.
That question seemed to cool the air in the room. No one does not fear the Hope Killer. Especially Tinkers like myself. She is able to copy and combine the specialties of all Tinkers in a certain radius, making us completely useless against her, even detrimental to other capes around us.
Tinkers in general are strongly advised against going to her Endbringer battles, as all we would do is further empower the winged bitch.
"With how high-level the effect is, we are going with the assumption that it is. This power is very valuable, Emily. What will it take for you to transfer him to New York?" Rebecca Costa-Brown asked Piggot unsurprisingly.
As soon as I heard the description and now hearing the effects of the powers, I knew any sensible superior would want him around, as just his presence will keep them safe from possibly the most dangerous category of parahumans.
Piggot, with a neutral look on her face, shut it down quickly, citing lack of manpower and reinforcements that have been postponed and stonewalled for years.
She in no uncertain terms told them he is off limits and will personally pull a gun on anyone who asks again.
They are all fighting for him like starving hounds. I do not remember Piggot ever fighting for me like that before.
Not for the first time, resentment filled my heart once again. First it was Dauntless; now it's Sukuna.
They underestimate me. I am the Leader of the Protectorate. I have been active since the inception of the Wards program by Hero.
I have taken down and defeated hundreds of parahumans, and once more I am being overlooked for my due because of a new face.
I'll show them.
I'll show them all that I am the one to be fought over. Who they should pour all their resources into, because in all my years I have never let them down.
I fought Marquis, helped drive off The Teeth, and even the Slaughterhouse Nine before they could run rampant in Brockton Bay.
Many have shown up. The next hero, the next potential Hero, the next Triumvirate.
But I am still here.
They have died or faded into irrelevance.
But I am still here.
I will show them all why.
I will show Sukuna why having fancy powers is not enough in front of my tech, experience, and skill.
(Note: What's good, guys. So I had felt that he was getting powerful too fast, so I wanted to stifle his growth a bit. I would have continued and dragged it out for a while, but I came across a fic on QQ that made me remember how much I truly love OP MC. So expect my boy to go a bit wild as soon as he realises that he is now amongst the top 5% of this particular universe already. Although he will be getting mostly Thinker and Tinker perks for a while. I want to play around with chakra for a bit, as that gives him a huge plethora of abilities of his own.)
(PS: Finally decided on how his hero persona will be. He will be slightly heroic. He'll help a lot, especially with natural disasters and saving civilians. He will kill if he deems it necessary but will try to do it out of the public eye. He is also bad at taking orders and will mostly do as he likes unless what he is ordered to do is already aligned with what he is going to do. He will be traversing around the world doing heroic shit.)
(PSS: The name of the fic is The Grand Magus on QQ. Harry Potter fic with a slight crossover from World of Darkness. It's peak. Check it out if you want to.)
