"She was a very good person. She wasn't great at cooking, her life skills weren't strong, and she wasn't good at making money… but she loved me very much!" Sophie's voice grew a little hoarse as she stared blankly into the distance, lost in memories of the past.
Emily's eyes turned red. "Where is Grandma Sarah now?"
"She went to heaven!"
"Can she see us from heaven?"
Sophie looked up at the gray, overcast sky. The clouds were thick, and no sunlight could break through.
"Yes! She definitely can!" Sophie believed that Sarah was somewhere, watching over them.
After walking a short distance nearby, it began to rain.
The rain in Manchester was different from London's. London's rain was fine and dense, while Manchester's fell in big, heavy drops that smacked loudly against the ground, splashing up little flowers of water.
"Let's go," Sophie said, turning around to look at the four children sheltering from the rain under the locust tree.
