Bluer (Cheryl), elf, male, 25 years old, level 7 mage.
The information on the panel was brief, but it revealed enough, at least the word 'male' almost made Mai Ge jump.
"Host, please do not doubt the professionalism of this system. The Spirit Gate is a high tech gate that integrates the latest detection technology of this system, and is connected to the information network of the entire Nolan Continent. It can accurately determine the identity of every guest entering the restaurant." The system's serious voice sounded, and after a while, it said in a negotiable tone: "However, if the host has doubts about the detection results, you can apply for manual detection. This system will conduct a second detection on the target to confirm the guest's identity."
"Then test again." Mai Ge said without a second thought. He refused to believe it, having seen countless women, how could he be wrong?
"Ding! Test complete. Bluer (Cheryl), Elf, Male, 25 years old, Level 7 Mage, confirmed."
"Ding! Service fee of 1 gold coin has been successfully deducted. Welcome back next time."
"Holy crap! System, you charge for this?! Why didn't you say so earlier?" Mai Ge raised an eyebrow.
"Host, you didn't ask, and besides, is there such a thing as a free lunch in this world?" the system said innocently, while a cheeky, round-headed, helplessly shrug emoji flashed through Mai Ge's mind.
"10086[1] is free, and besides, speak properly, don't use emojis!" Mai Ge rolled his eyes, this system was getting more and more absurd.
"Host, please don't compare me to those not so intelligent human service providers. They can basically reject 80% of the questions asked, while my complaint rate never exceeds one person." the system said sternly.
"Heh, isn't it just me?" Mai Ge pouted, looking at the information with a strange expression. "And system, how come this 'human retest' is exactly the same as the previous information? Did you just copy and paste it?"
"Host, please don't insult this system's professional ethics! How could this system possibly do such a thing!" The system displayed a sternly protesting emoticon before continuing, "This system scanned him again using the Spirit Gate, and here's the result."
"This is the so-called human service you charged me for one gold coin? This is fraud! This is a crime! The Spirit Gate is mine, and if it has a problem, what's the point of rechecking it?" Mai Ge was annoyed. He wondered where the system had stolen those emoticons, combined with the system's display, it was incredibly obnoxious.
"Of course it's meaningful. Normally, the Spirit Gate's detection is automatically triggered, but now I need to manually activate it again. That's what they call 'human service.' Host, just accept the fact, this is a male elf. This is precisely the unique feature of the Spirit Gate's gender detection. If you got the gender wrong, and he pulls out something bigger than you, wouldn't that be awkward?" The system's words carried a hint of teasing.
"Looks like this is the legendary cross-dressing master. When men get flamboyant, women really don't stand a chance." Mai Ge glanced back at Bluer, who stood in the group like a proud white swan, and couldn't help but sigh, accepting the system's detection.
"Are you interested, host?" the system asked.
"I would never do something like this, knowing he's a man and then going after him." Mai Ge firmly refused and went into the kitchen to think. "A level seven elven mage, concealing his gender to come to the restaurant, could he be after Sally?"
He knew Sally's identity, the elves were still searching for her. Now that a cross-dressing man with an uncertain identity had suddenly appeared, the first person he thought of was naturally Sally.
After spending this time together, Mai Ge was quite satisfied with Sally. She didn't talk much, but she always completed her work with high quality and quantity. The restaurant's smooth operation was largely due to her, saving a lot of manpower.
Of course, Mai Ge had to admit that using a level seven elven mage, who could become a princess upon returning to the elven race, and even potentially inherit the throne of the Queen for washing dishes and wiping tables was indeed a waste of talent.
However, Mai Ge maintained that whether Sally returned or not was her freedom. If she wanted to stay, Mai Ge naturally wouldn't force her to leave, nor would he allow anyone to take her away easily.
Mai Ge kept this matter to himself for now. If he was indeed after Sally, he would eventually reveal his true colors, and he would deal with that situation accordingly.
"The restaurant's decor is nice, but there are too many diners, and people of all races. Am I supposed to sit at the same table as demons?" Bluer looked around the restaurant. The elegant decor was quite stylish, and the wooden tables and chairs made him feel very comfortable. What surprised him even more was that the patterns on the tables and chairs were very similar, as if they came from the same tree. Such details are usually hard for the average person to notice, but it shows the owner's attention to detail.
Constantine stood behind Bluer and chatted with him from time to time, showing great enthusiasm and trying his best to please Bluer.
As a well-known eligible bachelor in the Chaos City, he hadn't been this attentive to a girl in years.
Bluer, however, merely responded with occasional "Mmm" in agreement. He had no interest in small talk with a man who clearly wanted to sleep with him.
"Big sister, you're so pretty!" Amy, carrying the Ugly Duckling, approached and looked up at Bluer. Not only was she pretty, but this young lady was also incredibly tall, almost as tall as her father.
The Ugly Duckling also looked up at Bluer, blinking slightly, seemingly puzzled.
"What an adorable half-elf little girl!" Bluer looked down at Amy, his eyes lighting up instantly. Her delicate face, pointed little ears as white and translucent as cicada wings, long silver hair tied into double braids hanging down beside her ears, and a pair of bright blue eyes blinking as she looked up at him. She was so cute that it made one want to reach out and hug her.
"Silver hair, big blue eyes, and the same delicate and adorable appearance, she looks just like Her Highness the Princess when she was little. She's so cute it's almost unfair!" Bluer exclaimed in his heart. When it came to looks, he only admired Princess Irina. Now, it seemed like he had to add another one.
"Little girl, you're very cute too. What's your name?" Bluer asked, smiling at Amy.
"My name is Amy." Amy replied with a happy smile. Being complimented by a pretty big sister was a delightful thing.
"Amy, what a lovely name. You can call me Sister Cheryl." Bluer smiled and nodded, glancing up at Mai Ge in the kitchen. This human actually had such an adorable half-elf daughter! Which innocent elven girl had he fooled?
Good-looking humans are truly the natural enemy of elves.
