"Gulp."
A series of swallowing sounds rang out. Not only Bluer, but also the three demons at the table and the surrounding customers were all staring intently at Amy as she ate her ice cream, swallowing hard.
A saying circulated among the regulars of Amy's family restaurant: Don't watch the Little Boss eat when you're broke, because you'll inevitably want another serving.
"I'll have an ice cream, blueberry flavor."
"I only have 300 copper coins left for pocket money this month, but what can I do? I really want some! Give me one too!"
"No, I have to resist! I only have ten copper coins left in my pocket. If I order another one, I won't be able to leave the restaurant." Some customers nearby hesitated, while others readily ordered. Suddenly, quite a few people had ordered ice cream.
Amy wasn't proud at all for sparking a wave of orders, because her attention was completely focused on the ice cream in her hand. Her little face was beaming with a smile of enjoyment as she held the ice cream in her little hands and slowly licked it. The joy she felt while immersing herself in the food was so captivating that it could make anyone watching feel satisfied. And, she looked absolutely adorable!
"I can't believe it! Why is it that even though it's just a snowball, she seems to be eating it with such relish, as if it's the most delicious food in the world!" Bluer's eyes widened, and he couldn't help but drool. He had thought he wouldn't be interested in the snowball at all, but now he was becoming more and more curious about its taste. What kind of delicious food could make her smile so adorably?
"Sister Cheryl, do you want to know what ice cream tastes like?" Amy suddenly moved the ice cream down a little, looking at Bluer with a smile and asking.
"Yes." Bluer, his mind filled with curiosity about the taste of snowballs, nodded subconsciously.
"Then I can eat it to show you." Amy picked up the ice cream and licked it again, saying happily, "It's sour and sweet, super delicious."
The customers nearby let out a burst of good-natured laughter, they always found it amusing to watch the interaction between the Little Boss and the customers during their meals.
"Is this even possible?" Bluer was bewildered and felt incredibly angry, but looking at Amy's smile, he couldn't bring himself to be angry. In fact, he felt like he would be committing a crime if he didn't smile back.
"Should I order one to try?" A voice rang in Bluer's heart and then echoed in his mind.
"No, no! This snowball must be really sweet, and it looks like more than just a simple snowball. Eating it will definitely make me gain weight!" Bluer shook his head, trying to shake the thought out of his mind, but his eyes couldn't help but wander to the ice cream in Amy's hand, and he swallowed hard.
"She looks so adorable when she's conflicted." Constantine looked at Bluer with adoration, then beckoned to Yabemia and said, "Hello, please give me two blueberry ice creams, and one for Miss Cheryl."
"Okay, please wait a moment." Yabemia nodded slightly and turned to walk towards the kitchen.
"Actually… I… no, I don't want it." Bluer hesitated, reaching out his hand.
"You don't want it?" Yabemia stopped and looked back at Bluer.
"I…" Bluer hesitated again.
"Just do as I said." Constantine smiled, he could tell Bluer still wanted it.
"Okay." Yabemia nodded and turned away again.
"Change mine to matcha flavor." Bluer said quickly, then immediately raised his hand to cover his face. It was so embarrassing, he had contradicted himself twice in such a short time.
"It's okay, Sister Cheryl. Although it's really embarrassing to go back on your word, but this isn't the first time, so you should be used to it by now." Amy comforted Bluer.
"Ouch... Is this how you comfort someone?" Bluer raised his other hand to cover the other half of his face. If it weren't for the fact that there was still a serving of Yang Zhou Fried Rice and ice cream waiting to be served, he would have already run out the door. Staying in this place for even a second longer was torture, it was just too embarrassing.
"From today onwards, I absolutely cannot casually talk about how much I'll eat, especially in this restaurant." Bluer silently resolved to himself.
Slowly calming himself down, Bluer lowered his hand, regaining his composed expression. How could a man of his rarity, so exceptionally handsome, be defeated by such a small setback?
Embarrassment? That was out of the question.
"Sister Cheryl, how many ice creams are you planning to eat?" Amy asked curiously.
"..." Bluer's eyebrows twitched. He suddenly felt that this girl was only as difficult to deal with as Her Highness the Princess back then, especially her smile, which reminded him of Her Highness the Princess's devilish smile after every prank.
"Impossible. Her Highness the Princess could never have a daughter. There is no one in this world worthy of her." Bluer shook his head, banishing the thought that had suddenly popped into his head. He thought with some regret, "Perhaps there was one back then, but he's dead."
"Depends on my mood." Bluer smiled. This time, he was smarter.
"Then, you must control your mood, okay? If you eat too much, you really will gain weight." Amy earnestly advised.
Bluer's mouth moved, but in the end he didn't say anything. This child's heart-wrenching skills were so natural. Who did she learn them from?
"Sally doesn't know much about the situation within the Elf race either. She hasn't seen the Elf Princess in three years. If this guy comes from the Wind Forest, he might know something." Mai Ge thought to himself as he looked at Bluer and handed the ice cream he had made to Yabemia.
Amy's sharp tongue wasn't something he taught her, he always taught the child to be kind and upright. If he had to say, perhaps it was a natural talent.
"Your matcha ice cream." Yabemia said, handing the ice cream to Bluer.
"Thank you." Bluer said, then his gaze was drawn to the green ice cream in his hand. The refreshing aroma of green tea wafted over him, invigorating him. The tender green color resembled the buds of spring tea. Even the thousand years old tea tree in the Wind Forest, which had absorbed the Fountain of Life, did not have such a fragrance.
"Good tea!"
Bluer couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. Besides his love of sleeping in trees, tea was his second greatest passion. He had collected and tasted not only tea leaves from the Wind Forest, but also famous tea leaves from the entire Nolan Continent. However, he had never smelled such a fresh and rich aroma before. Even the spring tea from Vik Ridge paled in comparison.
"Grind the tea leaves into powder and add it to the snowball? Wouldn't that make it bitter?" Bluer wondered to himself, hesitating for a moment before mimicking Amy and licking the snowball with his tongue.
The snowball melted on his tongue, the sweet milk and refreshing green tea sliding down his throat. It felt as if a tender green tea leaf was wrapping the rich milk as it rushed down, seemingly washing away all the impurities in his stomach. The refreshing and comfortable feeling instantly made his mind clear.
"Boss, you're wasting such a precious resource!"
Bluer stood up angrily, pointing at the kitchen and shouting.
