Just like a natural disaster, which comes suddenly and silently - the windstorm struck the second city, Banan - out of nowhere.
The turmoil was so sudden that the locals didn't even get the chance to run. The stalls were flung around in the air - clashing with anything that came in its way.
The streets that were usually bustling turned desolate in no time. Thinking it was a natural disaster, most of the locals took refuge in their houses - not aware of the exact danger they were facing.
Watching the black cloud cover most of Banan, from the roof of his house, Orsted stared at the place where the windstorm converged.
"That place is...." A premonition hit Orsted, causing a frown to form on his face.
The place where the windstorm converged was - the employment agency.
Having ordered the lizard Men, whose scent Orsted swapped, to stay in home for today. His place should have turned into the main battle ground, or so Orsted had predicted.
'Not the employment agency.... Don't tell me...' A bright light flashed through his eyes, Orsted took out his spare sword immediately.
Though initially intending to let Zarestia destroy more stuff, his plans couldn't keep up with the changes.
Two sharp golden wings materialized behind Orsted, his body shot forwards towards the sound of destruction.
By the time Orsted arrived, the employment agency was already no more than a wreckage. Deep grooves of the attack launched upon it were left on the ground.
Two familiar figures stood on the wreckage - Zarestia and Crane Donahue, who wore armor now instead of his usual apron. Upon closer view, Crane was missing a hand and his spear was in tatters.
Wind slashes were launched without discrimination, destroying all that stood in its way. Many houses were damaged around them, as Zarestia showed off her capabilities.
"Uugh!! I said I don't know anything about your light sphere! Stop destroying the houses! There might be innocent civilians in there!" Crane exclaimed with a pained voice.
Unfazed by Crane's pitiful display, Zarestia pointed her finger at him with an irritated expression.
"I told you to respond carefully. If the next answer isn't 'Yes' - it will cost another part of your body. Hand over my light sphere and I will let those folks live!" Demanding grumpily, Zarestia gazed at Crane with hostility through and through.
"Kuuh!!" Crane growled as if going crazy from the situation.
"Grr!" Zarestia responded, as if to match Crane.
'As expected....I forgot about the fact Zarestia's nose had a defect.' Orsted sighed internally to himself.
While very sensitive and useful when hunting - Zarestia's nose couldn't differentiate the smell of other beings of the same species.
Zarestia had misunderstood Rem as the culprit, who stole her light sphere in the sloth if route too. Where in reality, another oni had stolen it.
A similar situation was occurring right before Orsted's very eyes. Misunderstanding Crane to be the thief, Zarestia was out to get retribution.
Another wind slash formed before Zarestia's outstretched hand, aiming at Crane's left leg.
Reacting to her intention, Orsted leaped from the rooftop - leaving behind a crater on it.
[Water god style - flow]
Orsted's sword covered in thick dragon battle aura - cut through the wind slash easily.
"S-sir Orsted!" Crane was surprised to see a familiar visage - Orsted, who was in his usual enigmatic white clothes.
A wry smile spread across Crane's face: "Thank you for coming to help me, Sir Orsted..."
Not many would go out of their way to help another, especially when the enemy appeared so formidable. Crane felt grateful from the bottom of his heart.
Nodding at Crane subtly, Orsted stared at Zarestia, who appeared more grumpier than before. Bloodlust shot from her eyes towards him, however it was nothing compared to what he experienced in Zarestia's bed.
"I heard your conversation, just what factor led you to accuse him?" Orsted asked calmly when his eyes met Zarestia's.
As if it was natural, Zarestia pointed at her nose confidently.
"Isn't it obvious? It's the nose." Her eyes were slightly wary as she looked at Orsted, she could smell a familiar scent from him - it was that of a dragon.
Hearing her answer, Crane grimaced behind Orsted, as if struck by an unknown force.
Crane spoke weakly: "There has to be some sort of misunderstanding..."
Zarestia accused immediately: "I am not wrong! My nose is absolute - as if I would be fooled by a lizard like you!"
Stomping on the ground to vent her anger, Zarestia pointed at Orsted after berating Crane.
"And you! He stole the light sphere, a sin is a sin. You have nothing to do with it. So killing you would go against my belief as a 'Shinigami'. So move aside and let me beat it out of that lizard!"
The winds grew restless around Zarestia again.
"How about trying to negotiate without all the violence..." Orsted tried probing her.
"Don't mess with me! You aren't returning what you stole and now you are looking down on me!" Zarestia waved her hands forward not concealing her bloodlust.
Watching the wind blades heading towards him, Orsted immediately picked up the fat Crane, who just grew heavier with his armor on and dodged her attacks.
"Stay put here." Orsted spoke expressionlessly to Crane.
"Ok...."
After leaving Crane out of the wreckage, there was a pause in Zarestia's attack. Orsted knew the reason, because people were present in the house behind Crane's location.
Unlike her light sphere version self, the current Zarestia was closer to her true self - before she was stripped of her limbs and set on fire.
The great spirit who liked helping others, listening to their praises.
Her memory should be very foggy without the light sphere, hence she most likely couldn't remember everything about herself right now.
[Rock canon] formed before Orsted, as he manipulated his mana into his bracelet. Its size was comparable to his arm.
Boom!
The [rock canon] spiralled towards Zarestia, and she aimed her winds at it - to destroy it before it reached her.
Swoosh~
Just as the [Rock canon] was shred to pieces, Zarestia swung another wind blade at her right side.
At some point, Orsted had appeared just a few meters away from her.
"Ho." Dodging the wind slash by jumping aside, Orsted smiled slightly.
'Of course, she could see through my distraction easily. Having lived for centuries, her experience can't be looked down upon. However, in this distance...'
Feeling the air around Orsted change, Zarestia suddenly had a bad feeling.
Orsted's feet sunk into the ground roughly, a power stance at first glance.
[Sword god style - longsword of silence]
There was no sound, as if the world was frozen at this moment. Orsted's blade was swung at a velocity beyond the speed of sound.
Even when the blade was right before her eyes, Zarestia couldn't hear even the faintest sound from it. Her eyes widened as the sword approached closer to her shoulder - she realized he was aiming to cut off her arm.
