Kenneth only got three hours of sleep before he had to get up and get ready for class.
He and Lucien didn't speak of the event that occurred the previous night, and Kenneth was grateful for it. The last thing he wanted was to start his day with the awkward morning-after- talk. He was perfectly fine, acting like it never happened, except his body didn't seem to get the memo—betraying him at every turn.
Every time he made eye contact with Lucien, his heart would flutter, and his pulse would quicken. It was as if he'd been afflicted with some kind of disease that made him unable to function in front of a man he had no problems dropkicking before. It was embarrassing. He was acting like some love-sick teenager.
They ate their breakfast in silence before Kenneth got ready to leave. But before he could step out of Lucien's dorm, the Striker stopped him by pulling him back.
