"So, I hear you spent the night elsewhere last night," Fae said as soon as they were dismissed.
Kenneth glanced at Lennon, who gave him a sheepish smile.Traitor.
As if reading his mind, he raised his hands in surrender. "Hey, she pried it out of me," he said.
"How exactly did she do that?"
"Hey, she is standing right here and don't think you can get away from this by deflecting," Fae exclaimed.
She crossed her arms as she stared right into his soul. It always weirded Kenneth out when she did that. Her eyes had a way of piercing through you. They seemed to dig deep and find whatever lay beneath all those doors and shuttered windows.
"So? Where did you go, Ken? Cause I know it wasn't in your room."
Kenneth shot Lennon an accusatory look as they walked out of the training hall. It was almost lunchtime, and since they didn't have another class right after, they weren't in any rush to go back to their dorms.
