As soon as Korian Vos left his office, Palpatine immediately sent a communication to Kort, who promptly answered.
"My dear friend, I didn't expect you to quietly accomplish such great things. As your friend, I congratulate you, but due to my current status and the existence of the Jedi Order, I can only offer my well wishes in a private capacity."
"In order to change the current situation where the Jedi are dominant, and due to my disagreement with their doctrines, I discovered that the ancient history of Mandalore once contained organizations established by Mandalore Force-sensitives, and now it is merely a revival," Kort continued to feign a persona somewhat hostile towards the Jedi.
"I thought as much. After all, Mandalore's history is as long as the Republic's. I look forward to seeing it with my own eyes when the time comes," Palpatine said with a smile.
"I await your arrival," Kort said respectfully, though he felt a bit nauseous saying these words.
**Two months later, on Vadir,** at the entrance of the Mandalore Temple, there were about ten Force-sensitives from the Outer Rim of the Galaxy. Some were children, some even five or six years old, but all were accepted without exception.
The current instructors were Zeta, who had just finished compiling textbooks, and Nehaal, who had recently returned from Kalee. As for Kort? He only taught the most gifted children.
Looking at the three little ones from Mandalore colonies before him, Kort began teaching them one by one. However, these three were not all human Mandalores.
Only the little girl, Hathern Eldar, was a human Mandalore. The other two were a male Zabrak adopted by a Mandalore family and a female Twilek.
In their training room, Kort instructed them on how to control The Force and explained the tenets of the Way of Unity.
"Rakass Mine, excellent. Aura Sekun is also learning incredibly fast."
Kort looked at the two with satisfaction. Why no mention of Hathern Eldar? She was only one year old; it was already good enough that she could sit there and watch a three-year-old and a four-year-old learn.
After morning meditation and lightsaber training, the afternoon was dedicated to cultural classes covering politics, culture, history, and other subjects. In the evening, they could return home, unlike the Jedi who basically said goodbye to their families, because attachment can also make a person stronger.
**By the next day,** Great Master Windu finally arrived after two months of slow travel. Obi-Wan returned to Coruscant at this time to report on all the current circumstances and to assess the current situation.
Mace Windu, meanwhile, began his advanced studies on Vadir, learning alongside the other three children every day. In the afternoons, he would discuss The Force with Kort.
As one of the most special Great Masters in the Jedi Order, Mace Windu could be said to be quite amenable to the use of the Unified Force, as he himself was one of its special users. However, most Jedi trained by the Jedi Order generally could not practice the Unified Force.
Their minds basically could not accept such a concept. In their eyes, The Force was only black and white; there was no such thing as neutralization.
However, Kort still believed that the Jedi Order should undergo some reforms, but for now, if it wasn't reformed, he would do it himself later.
To avoid the visiting Mace Windu, Great Master Qui-Gon lived in New Vadir City with an amulet created by Kort through alchemy that could mask his Force presence, to conduct his research on what he considered the Living Force.
Mace Windu and Kort discussed The Force and the current political situation of the Galaxy every day. Kort largely agreed with Windu's views, but some areas were still more rigid, such as the Jedi doctrines.
Finally, the two-month exchange and study period was completed, and the assessment of the Way of Unity was finished. However, close observation would continue afterward, as this was a religious order involving Dark Side powers, and supervision was necessary.
During this year, Kort had not visited other planets, focusing solely on teaching students on Vadir and developing the Mandalorian Sector to foster economic prosperity.
In the Zanbar System, new warships continued to be launched, and new armies equipped with various StarCraft CMC armor were training. Clones, produced by the adjutant, were continuously being cultivated into warriors from new cloning facilities.
At this time, a Hutt claiming to be Jabba the Hutt's Younger Male Cousin arrived on Vadir to visit Kort.
Kort looked at the information in his hand.
"Graballa? Jabba's Younger Male Cousin, but he's been mining asteroids for years," Kort summarized Graballa's profile.
"That's right, boss. Although this Graballa is a member of the Hutt, his status within the clan is not too high, and he also has dreams. I think this is an opportunity for us to support a Hutt," Omen believed this was an opportunity for Mandalore to extend into Hutt Space.
"Then let him come in a moment. I'll see if he can be of use to us," Kort thought for a moment and instructed.
Soon, grunting and heavy breathing could be heard.
"I say, why is Duke Kort's room so far away?" Graballa asked the Protocol Droid beside him.
The Protocol Droid completely ignored him, but Graballa kept chattering.
"Hmm, this place is suitable as the largest buffet hotel in the entire Galaxy, or as a large commercial center, both are good..." Graballa finally stopped talking when he waddled to the door of Kort's office.
"Please enter," the Protocol Droid opened the door for him.
Graballa entered and found Kort busy with documents, so he sat obediently on the sofa, waiting for Kort to finish his work.
Finally, after more than ten minutes, Kort finished his tasks and looked at Graballa on the sofa.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Graballa," Kort said.
"No problem, no problem. A governor like you is always so busy; it proves the prosperity of your planet. I've come here to pledge my allegiance, secretly from the Hutt Council. My damned Younger Male Cousin completely ignores my ideals; he just makes me mine asteroids. I'm already over four hundred years old! I also have my dreams; I don't want to just mine on asteroids!"
Kort nodded. Graballa was indeed an easily controllable Hutt, too simple.
"You're right, but Mr. Graballa, why should we help you achieve your dreams? What can you offer? I believe Omen must have told you before," Kort asked, after all, he was not a philanthropist; a person who couldn't provide value was useless.
Graballa pondered what he could possibly offer Mandalore, what value he had.
"I can be an inside man for Mandalore's invasion of Hutt Space! I want them to pay the price. Why do they make me guard a mine when I'm also a Hutt? I refuse!" Graballa could only think of this.
"Hmm... not enough, but we can invest in your dreams. You can build your hotels throughout the Galaxy, but they must become our Mandalore intelligence outposts. All news and conversations in the hotels must be recorded and sent to Mandalore on time. What do you think?" Kort inquired.
"I can do it! As long as you let me leave that damned place, I'll do anything!" Graballa shed tears of joy, as this was his only chance to achieve his dreams. As for the punishment from the Hutt Council, let them punish him; he just wanted freedom!
"Then congratulations, Mr. Graballa. You are now one of us Mandalores," Kort stood up and shook hands with Graballa.
Graballa prostrated himself beneath Kort, kissing Kort's boots, expressing his joy and submission.
Of course, if Graballa ever betrayed him, Kort would directly choke him across the Galaxy.
