Chapter 120 - Chapter 119: Mechanical Swarm

Artis Star, one of the many planets of the former Sith Empire hidden away, was where Kott conducted his most clandestine research—the mechanical swarm!

This was a new technology developed by the Adjutant a few years after cloning technology was perfected, but currently, there were no Zerg in the Galaxy, nor enough redesign ideas. After all, according to Doctor Stetmann's ideas, this thing was entirely something he concocted while high on Terrazine, requiring psionic control. And right now, there was absolutely no one in the Galaxy capable of manipulating psionics.

Even though the Adjutant had already built a Mechanical Hatchery on Artis Star according to the blueprints, some kind of accident occurred. The internal AI programs of these produced mechanical swarms had simulated a complete Swarm, but without a proper controller. They even began to simulate Zerg actions, autonomously sweeping across the entire planet, and the Adjutant was completely unable to control them.

The original mechanical swarm research institute on Artis Star had now been completely transformed into a Mechanical Hatchery by the mechanical swarm. The Adjutant could only record the current situation but felt it was still under control.

The mechanical swarm evolved to produce Creep similar to the original Swarm, and the entire Swarm was composed of nanomachines.

Currently, the mechanical swarm was not only Stetmann's design but also a Fusion of bionic Swarm. It was thought that this would control the Swarm, but it still failed. It even allowed them to develop an autonomous consciousness. Drones devoured all matter on the planet that could be devoured, just like a true Swarm.

The Adjutant observed and recorded the evolution of the Swarm.

**Day one:** Successfully created larvae of both bionic Swarm and mechanical swarm, and began hatching them into Drones according to the control data.

**Day three:** A large number of Drones had already hatched on Artis Star. Their internal AI was extremely intelligent, but during the hatching process, the bionic Swarm and mechanical swarm underwent a Fusion, attracting each other to become a new mechanical swarm—a simulated Swarm, even one with Mechanical life.

**Day eight:** All actions of the Drones were completely stable. We began hatching Zerglings from larvae to see if this highly aggressive bionic mechanical swarm could be controlled. Fortunately, we succeeded. We can still use control equipment to control the current Swarm, but their autonomous program continues to evolve. They have autonomously built other Swarm structures.

**Day twenty-six:** The Mechanical Zerglings are completely under control, even capable of evolving into Mechanical Banelings, and completing their own evolution within these structures. They no longer seem like normal Mechanical life. Perhaps, as I said, they truly have life.

**Day fifty-one:** The current Swarm is uncontrollable. They have completed their autonomous evolution. Mechanical Ultralisk Caverns have been built by them, and Mechanical Ultralisks have appeared. The Swarm has begun to sweep across the entire planet, killing all animals on the planet, and even making autonomous choices for evolution. There seems to be no difference from a true Swarm.

**Day ninety-five:** They completed their evolution, even producing Mechanical Mutalisks. In their research, I discovered their plan to build a Mechanical Leviathan. They want to go to the Universe.

**Day two hundred thirty-five:** The Swarm already has capabilities comparable to the original Swarm, but they seem to have started attacking each other due to a lack of a leader. Even so, the mechanical swarm has not attacked us. Perhaps he knows we are the creators.

Kott on Vadir saw the observation diary sent by the Adjutant. He never expected the mechanical swarm project to be so successful, even reaching a state of autonomous evolution. But it was precisely because it was too successful that the plan became a kind of failure. He had intended for them to be auxiliary servant troops, but now... perhaps only he could control these Swarms.

So, he must go to Artis Star. He absolutely must not let a new Zerg scourge the entire Galaxy; that would be his sin. Whether it's controlling the mechanical swarm or destroying these Swarms, he must take action.

First, he contacted the Adjutant from the ship.

"How is the situation?" Kott asked.

The Adjutant, currently operating B1, was stroking the head of a Zergling. He felt the communicator ring, took it from his waist, and answered.

"They have no ill will towards me, but all organic life on the planet has been killed for biomass. The entire planet is a mechanical swarm." The Adjutant continued to pet the Zergling wagging its tail beside him.

"That's good. I'll be there soon. After all, there are definitely places you can't see, and who knows, something strange might have already appeared." Kott's words seemed like a Prophecy. He would be greatly surprised when he arrived at Artis Star.

The Adjutant nodded and had the B1s under his control inspect the entire planet.

The B1s moved systematically across the planet. They even had good relations with the mechanical swarm and could even communicate with each other.

"Good doggy, will you lead the way for us?" B1 asked the Mechanical Zergling in front of him.

The Mechanical Zergling nodded. After all, the Swarm on Artis Star was not just one faction; without an overall leader, the various factions would attack and even oppose each other.

The Mechanical Zergling led the B1s to a Mechanical Main Hive. Hidden by the Swarm, numerous Mechanical Larvae were transforming into Mechanical Aberrations and Mechanical Brood Lords, but the most important thing was not this. Rather, inside the Mechanical Main Hive, there was a Mechanical entity completely different from other mechanical swarms and without a similar type of Zerg, engaged in its own creation within the Mechanical Main Hive.

"This is?" B1's small head couldn't quite understand what was happening.

The Zergling roared, expressing its meaning.

"Are you saying he is the fabricator of the Swarm, and can help the mechanical swarm evolve based on organisms?"

The Zergling nodded, confirming it.

Inside the enormous Mechanical Main Hive, this unique Mechanical entity also noticed the visiting B1s.

"Welcome, creators of the Swarm. I am called Abathur, the current fabricator of the Swarm, and an indispensable link in the evolution of the Swarm."

"Observe entities, extract potential, research bloodlines, adjust sequences, twist essence, disassemble limbs, reassemble, perfect, and finally become a member of the mechanical swarm!"

Abathur, initially created by the Adjutant according to the original Abathur's design as a super-intelligent AI, had performance even comparable to the Adjutant himself. Of course, it was originally for convenience in studying the Swarm, but Abathur was lost when the research lab became a Zerg Hive. However, now he had clearly completed his own evolution, using nanobots to complete his evolution and create his own body.

"Wow, you're really amazing!" B1 heard these Advanced terms and praised Abathur's prowess, as his small brain couldn't possibly utter such words.

"Thank you for your praise, but this is all for the Swarm. Only in this way can the Swarm be complete, and become the most perfect faction!"

Abathur's body circled around B1, pointing to one of his greatest current works: a "Mechanical Leviathan" egg.

"Look, this will be the greatest Zerg I personally created for the Swarm's journey into the Universe—the Leviathan! With it, our conquest of the entire Universe is just around the corner!"

"Uh... I think you'd better not have such thoughts. Kott will be here very soon." B1 tremblingly uttered a name.

"Kott? Who is that? Why are you afraid?" Abathur didn't understand. Weren't they his creators? Was there someone else?
