The party ended right before midnight. It would probably go on for a couple more hours if not for Ashley closing the bills.
"We can't, we can't! We don't have enough sober drivers to get you all home safely," the big boss flicked the forehead of a whining omega staff. "Do you want to ride a taxi past midnight?"
The omegas pursed their lips and grumbled about the cruel world. Taxi drivers roaming past midnight usually had two traits: either they were desperate for money or had ulterior motives. Sure, some were just dedicated, but should they risk the percentage to find out? While being drunk and vulnerable?
Absolutely not.
And so, they droned out of the bar like Cinderellas fleeing the castle. Among them was a tall omega who walked while staring at the floor, only stepping on a certain tile as if he were playing a game on his own.
