Eugene flinched when he heard loud knocks from the door, followed by a series of code punching. The door opened the next second as Eugene quickly put on some clothes from the drying rack, and Sophie's frantic footsteps could be heard rushing toward the guest bedroom.
"Gene! Are you al--oh!" she paused in the hallway. The guest bedroom was located beside the laundry room and the toilet, so she immediately saw Eugene, who was walking away from the washing machine. She rushed toward him while screaming. "Are you okay?!"
Eugene arched his brow. "Yeah? It's not my first heat, Soph."
"But Arthur told me your scent is more intense than usual!" she grasped his face the moment she was within reach. "You're flushed red! Oh, you're burning!"
"Do I?" Eugene narrowed his eyes.
"Huh?"
Eugene bit his lower lip. "Do I really smell more than usual?"
