Eugene shifted in his seat, fixing his seatbelt a few times even though there was nothing wrong with it. Arthur had never seen the omega that jittery, not even when they were waiting for Hannah that first day at school.
It was to the point that he didn't even touch the snacks and lemonade Arthur packed for their three-hour journey.
Arthur reached out to hold the omega's hand, squeezing the sweaty palm gently. "What are you worried about, Gin?"
"Just..." Eugene bit his lip. "I kept wondering why we're meeting in that town."
"What's wrong with it?"
Eugene sighed. "You know that my alpha father is so controlling, right? For all I knew, my omega dad had to tell him every time he wanted to go out--where and with whom. Sometimes--probably at least half of the time--he didn't give my dad permission. As far as I recalled, he didn't allow my dad to go out of the city without him."
