The original plan was to spot Eugene's omega dad first, and then watch the surroundings cautiously for other familiar faces. If the coast looked clear, they would then approach the dad carefully. Eugene even planned to ask his dad to change places, just to be completely safe.
But men could only plan.
The moment he saw his dad, all plans went out of the window. All his cautiousness was thrown to the ground. His disappointment, his anger, his sadness, wrapped in his belatedly growing love, morphed into a longing that instantly set his body in motion.
At that moment, he wasn't a father. He was a child of his father.
Needless to say, Arthur was startled and instantly alarmed, looking around cautiously even though he wouldn't be able to recognize Eugene's family. At least he could still recognize a nasty expression--which, fortunately, he didn't find.
It wasn't just Arthur, however. The person Eugene called 'Dad' was also startled, as if he never thought he would be called that.
