Arthur did blurt out the word, but he couldn't bring himself to believe that it was what Eugene meant.
But...what else could Eugene mean? There was an alpha-omega bond like what Illian and Jude had, but...they still needed to get married first for that--at least by today's standard.
Rather than answering with a nod or a confirmation, Eugene answered with a question instead. "Should we get married?"
Arthur...was too dumbfounded to reply. He just stared blankly, silently, at the omega who had just, essentially, proposed to him while sitting on his lap.
Seeing the shaken alpha, Eugene continued with another question. "Can I be honest?"
"P-please," Arthur nodded quickly.
"I like your family," Eugene started.
"...Yeah?"
Eugene smiled. "I like spending time with them. I didn't really talk to my grandparents like that, so talking to your grandparents feels nice--I feel like I finally have my own grandparents."
