"Wow...this is quite rare," was the doctor's immediate comment when Arthur handed over the request form.
Eugene knew that already; after all, he knew no one around him who was bonded to their partner, even the married ones. Granted, most of his friends were not married yet, but he also came to know quite a few married couples—including Arthur's grandparents.
Still...he was a bit curious. "Is it really that rare? Among all of your patients, how many—ah, of course, only if you're allowed to disclose it..."
"Just the number won't be a problem," the doctor chuckled and looked up to ponder. "Let's see...the last one is three years ago, and including you, I can still count it with my own fingers."
Eugene glanced at the framed diploma on the wall, which informed him that the doctor had more than twenty years of experience. Well...that was certainly rare. Not even one couple per year.
