Two days later, Freya made her way to Elise's party, a little giddy for the whole thing. She held a small bouquet of flowers on her lap, not really wanting to go empty-handed despite Elise telling her it was okay.
She could just imagine her mother scolding her for going to someone's house without a gift. The thought had made her gloomy at the thought of her parents, but she still decided to go along with it.
Doing little things like this was the best way she could remember her family and continue living with the values they taught her. It was still depressing to think of them, but Freya also didn't want to forget.
Turning away from the flowers before they gave her more depressing thoughts and made her ruin her makeup, Freya gazed over at Xavier. The snake beastman was driving her as usual, however, was only going to drop her off.
