"Alright! Then I'll wait here!"
Goku plopped down on the grass, having made up his mind completely.
It was only two days, right?
To go to the God of Destruction Realm and catch up to that sneaky guy Vegeta, let alone two days—even twenty days would be nothing!
And so, for the next stretch of time, aside from eating and sleeping, Goku simply sat in the courtyard, staring up at the sky with eyes full of anticipation.
"Goku, you don't have to stay here all the time."
Bulma walked over and handed him a glass of juice.
"I'll let you know the moment Mr. Whis arrives."
"No way!" Goku took the juice and chugged it down in one gulp.
"I have to see Whis the instant he shows up! What if he grabs the food and leaves, and I miss him?"
Bulma shook her head helplessly and stopped trying to persuade him.
"Ugh… is he even coming or not…"
Nearly a week had passed, yet Whis still hadn't appeared.
Just as Goku was starting to lose patience—
A streak of light flashed across the sky.
A rainbow-colored pillar of light descended, landing in the center of the courtyard.
Goku sprang up instantly, his face lighting up with wild excitement.
"He's here! Whis is finally here!"
As the light faded, Whis's elegant figure appeared.
"Oh ho ho ho, Miss Bulma. I've come to collect this week's dessert."
"Mr. Whis!" Before Bulma could speak, Goku rushed forward, stopping right in front of Whis.
"Oh my?" Whis raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise.
"Isn't this Mr. Goku? How rare. Were you waiting specifically for me?"
"Yes, yes!" Goku grinned broadly, rubbing his hands together.
"I've been waiting for you for a long time, Mr. Whis!"
"Oh? Waiting for me?" Whis asked calmly.
"Is there something you need?"
"Well… that…"
Goku scratched his head, looking slightly embarrassed.
"I heard Vegeta went to the God of Destruction Realm to train with you?"
"That is correct," Whis replied, nodding.
"Then—then can I go too?"
Goku finally blurted it out, eyes shining.
"I want to get stronger too! Please take me with you!"
Whis looked at Goku's eager expression and chuckled inwardly.
However, he didn't agree immediately.
"Mr. Goku, the God of Destruction Realm isn't a tourist destination. The training there is extremely harsh."
"I'm not afraid of hardship!" Goku thumped his chest confidently.
"No matter how tough it is, I can handle it!"
"Is that so?" Whis smiled slightly.
"Besides training, you may also need to do some… chores. Washing Lord Beerus's clothes. Cleaning the floors. And similar tasks."
"No problem!" Goku agreed without hesitation.
Whis was momentarily speechless.
These Saiyans really had no bottom line when it came to becoming stronger.
Mr. Loren really is the exception…
Just as Whis was still considering—
Bulma walked over, carrying an enormous strawberry cake that released an irresistible aroma.
"Mr. Whis."
She placed the cake gently on the table.
"You must be tired from your journey. This is a Dream Strawberry Mille-Feuille Cake, specially made for you by a world-class pastry chef we just hired. Please, try it."
At the same time, she subtly winked at Goku.
Whis's eyes immediately locked onto the cake.
The rich cream, mixed with the sweet-and-sour fragrance of fresh strawberries, surged into his senses.
Grrr…
Whis's stomach betrayed him.
"Ahem."
Bulma seized the moment.
"Mr. Whis, Goku is genuinely sincere."
"You know his talent. Wouldn't it be good for him to train together with Vegeta? They could motivate each other."
Whis fell silent.
A combat genius with limitless potential…
Indeed worth nurturing.
Perhaps he would bring unexpected surprises.
"…Very well."
Under the combined assault of delicious food and Bulma's persuasion, Whis finally relented.
He picked up a fork, elegantly cut a piece of cake, and tasted it.
"Mmm~~~"
The smooth cream and fresh strawberry pulp melted instantly on his tongue.
Whis narrowed his eyes in satisfaction.
"For Miss Bulma's sake," Whis said slowly, "I'll make an exception this time."
"Yes! That's awesome!" Goku jumped up excitedly.
"Thank you, Mr. Whis! Thank you, Bulma!"
"However." Whis put down his fork and looked at Goku seriously.
"Once you enter the God of Destruction Realm, everything must follow my arrangements. If you or Vegeta dare cause trouble—or wake up Lord Beerus—
I won't hesitate to throw both of you straight back to Earth."
"Got it!" Goku nodded vigorously.
"I promise I'll behave!"
"Good." Whis smiled.
"Go prepare a bit. I'll come pick you up tomorrow morning."
"No need!" Goku said eagerly.
"I can go right now!"
"Oh ho ho ho, you really are impatient." Whis chuckled.
"Very well. Let's depart immediately."
He stood up and stored the remaining cake and plate into his personal dimension.
"Well then, Miss Bulma. We look forward to your next delicious meal."
"You're always welcome, Mr. Whis."
Bulma waved with a smile.
Goku rushed to Whis's side, practically vibrating with excitement.
Whis lightly tapped his staff.
The rainbow-colored pillar of light shot skyward once more.
As the light faded, both figures vanished from the courtyard.
Bulma let out a long sigh of relief.
Finally, Goku was gone.
She could only hope that he and Vegeta wouldn't cause too much trouble in the God of Destruction Realm.
When the light dissipated, Goku found himself in a completely new environment.
"Whoa! So this is the God of Destruction Realm?!"
He looked around like an excited child seeing a new world for the first time.
Goku spread his senses—
Then suddenly looked in one direction.
"Found it! Vegeta's ki!"
Although Vegeta's aura had become far more restrained and profound than before, Goku still sensed it instantly.
"Vegeta! I'm coming!"
Goku shouted.
Forgetting even to greet Whis, he transformed into a golden streak of light and shot off toward Vegeta's location.
